This is rather strange to see brazilian people listening and understanding other music which is not brazilian music... But maybe you are from Portugal, so this is a little bit different and change everything. I just heard from friend who live in Brazil that brazilian people don't even perceive other music which is not brazilian. They don't understand it. Of course, Ivete Sangalo, Ana Carolina, Seu Gorge, Caetano Veloso, Chico Barque, Roberto Carlos, Gilberto Gil, Rita Lee, Kid Abelha and other Brazilian singers and their music are brilliant and very beautiful, they all are really cool musicians. I listen and respect them very much! Especially Ivete Sangalo and Ana Carolina. Also like band "Pitty" (adore the song "Na Sua Estante").
