Agreed. The Southern Border should be like how the East-West German border was. When we lived in the UK, (1970s) my parents took us on educational road trip to give we kids awareness of how lucky we were to be Americans. Mom and Dad survived the horrors of German occupation (Dad was a Dutch POW) during the war and fled to the US shortly after. We took a ferry to what was then East Germany and drove through that country to Berlin. The last 20 miles going into Berlin was all Soviet military base. Tanks and troops EVERYWHERE. Talk about a hairy experience! Entering West Berlin was like going into an Oasis! We continued that trip by crossing over Check Point Charlie to see East Berlin. Then we went on to visit Dachau and worked back to Normandy before grabbing the ferry back to the UK. A truly memorable trip.

Fort Hood is the largest Army base in the country and it's right in El Paso. There's nothing they can do unless deployed there by the federal government, which we know WILL NOT happen under the Biden administration. He wants this, as do most of the Democrat party, it' doesn't affect them. Congressman for example can request a security detail if they feel in imminent danger, pretty ironic ha. Goodbye America, couldn't quite make it to our 250th birthday, so close though. If Trump miraculously gets back into office, without mass deportations, America one day at a time will become like the countries these migrants are coming from

This is good what Texas is doing. It's a shame that it came to this. There's nothing wrong with immigration to the US, but it has to be the correct way. I wish they secured the borders and then found a better way to handle immigration that's better for everyone all around.
