Texas gangs maybe masterminds behind St. Louis ATM attacks 

I remember Paul Harvey reporting about a similar (attempted) robbery down in Texas 30+ years ago. The culprits chained up the local bank's ATM to their pick-up truck and tried to drive away with it but their bumper fell off and they lost their nerve and went home. Turns out their license plate was on the bumper chained to the ATM in the parking lot at the bank. The police arrested the culprits within hours at their home. And that, folks, is the rest of the story. Paul Harvey was a class act.

This isn't anything new. It has happened in this area for decades.

I’m a helluva lot more concerned about whether the ATMs are rigged with a skimmer or getting robbed WHILE USING IT than dumbasses ripping and destroying the money machines. Let’s just say, people at drive thru ATMs should strongly consider leaving their cars in “Drive” with their foot on the brake (and being fully aware of their surroundings) during the entire transaction just in case they’re about to get robbed. If anyone approaches to suspiciously, you name it, then one can immediately PEEL OUTTA THERE and then call the bank/police to tell them of the situation.

why not have ink bombs in the machines or some type of ignition device.

The ATMs should have dye packs that ruins all the money unless they are properly opened. If they are targeting certain brands, those brands should be replaced. The machine costs much less than the money inside it.

SO WHERE'S THE PICTURE OF THE GUY WHO WAS CAUGHT? I NEVER USE ATM MACHINES...THEY MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR BANKS TO CUT DOWN ON REAL PEOPLE BEING EMPLOYED AND IF YOU PUT A DEPOSIT IN AN ATM AND IT'S BURGLARIZED YOU LOSE YOUR MONEY, YOUR BANK ACCT NUMBERS AND ANY PROOF THAT YOU MADE THE DEPOSIT.

Lots of people come here to commit crime especially all the neighboring states. Then they mozzy they way right back home and blame the ones which live here.
