@@BamaNickthe synchronization of the music to him saying it always has me saying it too haha. It’s almost like the days of 2015 when everyone made auto tune songs of clips.
Thank you Joel, for reminding us that the asinine belief that the expanded playoff "devalues" the regular season is laughably false. Texas/Georgia has huge implications!
I’m a Kansas fan so I know the feeling but any concerns on your strength of schedule so far? Not a single win over a team with a winning record at the moment.
Husker fan here. I know we have weaknesses. Indiana were not sure about. These are not top 20 teams but great football environment still. I would love to see Indiana win out, as long as Nebraska beats then. Well even then I’ll root for Indiana but rooting for my Skers.
As a Buckeye fan I have to admit that game in Oregon was fun competitive and I hope we can play them again either in the BIG championship and or the CFP
Respect from a duck fan. Was a very competitive game, glad we came out on top, but also glad buckeye fans aren’t like UW fans lol. Not going to lie, can’t say I hope we play again, especially on a neutral field.
@@CaseeColddwhat’s it like living in your little scarlet and gray fantasy world? The Ducks are 2-0 against you in the last couple of years. You’ll wish you’d listened to USC and kept them out of the B10 as they’re going to own it.
I don’t think non-Texas fans realize how weak Texas’ home schedule has been for years in the Big12 (esp since Red River is always in Dallas). They have been waiting for a day like this forever. Night game as #1 against Georgia?! The week after a OU beatdown? DKR is going to be insane. Bama has had tons of great games over the years. There hasn’t been a game like this in Austin since… maybe ever. (Certainly not since Chase Daniel Missouri in 2008.) It’s going to be straight fire.
@@richardpetro7032 Texas played Bama down to the wire (20-19) in 2022 in a day game. So he must mean a top-ranked Texas team playing a highly ranked opponent at night.
Texas has had plenty of opponents come to Austin that are just as talented as Georgia is. One example is K-State in 2003 and that game was an all time classic
This is the first time Texas is hosting a top 5 team as AP#1 since 1970 (vs #4 Arkansas). First time ever at night (Arkansas game was an afternoon game)
Last year LSU was an 18-point home favorite vs. Arkansas, not 2.5. Final score was 34-31, yes. Arkansas always seems to cover against LSU, that's why the line is low. But not gonna argue with you on that pick, Joel. You are on a tear, man.
Hahahaha you were right. Oregon and Texas aren’t the same. 😂😂😂. I was wrong for saying so. 😂😂. Was complimenting you guys but you couldn’t just take the compliment. 😂😂 then you got demolished.
Of the two top games - Bama/Georgia and Oregon/Ohio St one was a true classic and that was Oregon/Ohio St. That game was a great game to watch as a fan and down to the wire. The Bama/Georgia was two games in one with Bama owning the 1st half and Georgia making a comeback in the 2nd. The only part that might, and probably didn't, make it a classic was the really bad defense of both teams at the end when they each allowed a long TD. Just hope the Texas/Georgia is not a classic with Texas actually playing a full game and sending Georgia home 38-13. By the way if Georgia does lose this game they not only have no chance of getting to the SEC Championship game, they could not even make the final 12 in the playoffs.
@@briantillman2812Long time DAWG fan here. It hurts to say but UGA is NOT a playoff team this year. They will lose at least 3 games! This team has been so hard to watch! They honestly seem to be getting worse as the season progresses. The truth hurts sometimes! It’s head scratching as to the decline of this team from Week 1 to now! But…miracles do happen and that’s exactly what they’re gonna need if they wanna go into Austin and leave with the dub!
@@drew7155Miami is ranked 1st. But we can't exactly take the rankings too literally because of the level of competition is so drastically different between teams in college
Anyone would have the number 1 offense against ULM, UTSA, Mississippi state, etc… wait until they play someone. They were “back” last year and lost to an ok Washington team.
Joel! I cannot believe you left the biggest stat unsaid, Nebraska is the only FBS team in the country to not allow a rushing touchdown!! Also it’s not our personnel on offense that’s not a threat, it’s Satterfield play calling.
The no rushing TD stat isn't impressive, IMO. Indiana could break it this week, and if they don't, OSU will the following week. Then the stat goes away. What is impressive, however, is that P4 opponents, which average 4.6 yards per carry in their other games, only averaged 2.1 yards per carry against the ☠️. That's... really good.
You went from being on the Tennessee Hype train and obsessing of Nico to now doing a complete 180 and abandoning him. I wouldn't be so fickle. He has talent, just needs to put it together. Don't be surprised if they get him running more this week.
As a longhorn having that rank next to our name gives me anxiety. I believe our defense will be dominant but I'm worried about what happens when a good defense collapses Ewers
As a Nebraska fan I wish we had a qb like Rioala last year. Last year our schedule was easier than expected and you could argue this year it's tougher than expected.
LSU vs Arkansas is always a close game, no matter where each team is at that point in the season. Its Arkansas National Title. Just an SEC game to LSU. Last 3 games have been decided by 9 points.
October 19th 2024 will live to be one of the greatest days in Austin, TX history. Georgia Bulldogs vs. Texas Longhorns. F1 United States Grand Prix at The Circuit of the Americas.
I give Indiana a lot of credit for having a good record this season and gaining a lot of national attention. With that in mind, they haven't played anybody so far. They beat FCS and lower tier Big Ten teams. Again, they look great but if they can beat Nebraska, I think they're going to be for real.
Saying they haven't played anybody is an impossibly stupid statement to make. They're playing their schedule, as is everyone else. Watch the tape. I would take them outright over Miami on a neutral field without a doubt.
@@wolverinesfan9021 People were saying the same comments about the Wolverines last year until they played some of the tougher teams in the schedule such as Penn St. and Ohio St. That's where the narrative began to change. As they begin to win over tougher opponents, then the same will happen with Indiana football as well.
@@Buckeye0103 I agree that it's not the coaches or players fault that their schedule is so easy. They're playing great against inferior opponents. The real test for Indiana begins in the last half of the season.
idk about lower big 10 teams. everyone outside of Ohio State and Oregon is beatable for Indiana. They could finish third in that conference having "played nobody".
Saturday is gonna be another epic day of college football just like last Saturday was. Joel, I really look forward to hearing you, Gus and Jenny calling the Nebraska-Indiana game. That should be a great game. The game I am most looking forward to is the Georgia-Texas game. That is going to be a phenomenal game between two powerhouses. I have no idea who is going to win that one.
Longhorn fan I think the game will show what Texas is really made out of. I really hope Ewers got his rust off and is laser focus go hype I think the game might be 38-23 or 41-30 HOOKEM 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Because they would've had 2 really good losses, especially if Bama had won yesterday. Now, would their SEC sticker boost them? Sure, but it would have to lean on a weak Big12 and B1G, which are sorta happening with Ohio State losing and Michigan not being what they were, blah blah blah. It would be a tough road but they could've made it with a loss yesterday because of who they lost to. I'm personally glad they didn't
Look at their schedule and find a team in the nation in the top 10 with a tougher schedule…..on the road at Bama on the road at Texas, on the road at ole Miss, Clemson neutral site game, and Tennessee
@@autonomouspilgrimage6137 exactly. If they had lost, it'd be 2 of the best losses to have. And, if Bama lost which they did, they'd be in a good spot in the conference to reach the championship game.
Way off on the Oregon/Purdue game, 27.5 was plenty haha! You had Illinois scoring 21 but way off on Michigan scoring 24. Also the Miami/Louisville 35-28 prediction wasn't bad cuz they were only 7 apart at 52-45. You pretty much blew all the other predictions haha! I still love your show and thanks for the content.
Once again I will have to come in to state that TENNESSEE'S OFFENSIVE LINE IS THE CULPRIT. Nico's flaws are that he is young and learning, and that he is running for his life.
I just don’t quite understand how we’re saying UGA/Bama/Tenn are “probably not getting to the SEC championship game” when if you look at every team’s schedule, not to mention the rest of the SEC, it’s possible these are elimination games altogether. Like I don’t think UGA/Bama, with 2 losses, is even a shoe-in for the playoff (Tennessee definitely not) based on how some of the other conferences are starting to shape up.
Would love to see a current, and former B12 matchup for a natty. Sick of the SEC weighing in at 50% of the bracket and claiming that they are the best....
Dont shine your pennies too soon Joel! I was the "College Football Whisperer" for the first half of last season up $12k. Ended the year in week 10 down $1K (I dont chase!)... Good recovery tho!

I understand the concern about Oregon after the big game with osu. But, didn't purdue just lose an 'emotional' tight game, in OT on Saturday? Why the conclusion for Oregon, and not Purdue?
@@jaissapierce4057 I agree. They beat the doors off of them. Just like Ohio State. Plus if you actually watch the games with any football IQ or having played the sport or coached, you can tell that Indiana is a good team, probably right around Michigan.
@@suites.74I’m not saying they aren’t good. It’s pretty obvious that they are good but how good? It’s a lot easier to score a lot of points if you aren’t playing a good defense or vice versa. I think in skill level from Indianas offense to Nebraska defense they are pretty evenly matched, and same for both sides of the ball for both teams. I just think Nebraska has had bigger test then Indiana. And in my opinion leads me to believe that Indiana isn’t this unstoppable team and that Nebraska has no chance of beating.
Joel Klatts makes college football better. The perspective and knowledge of the game just make watching games better because we have more perspective. I’ve enjoyed college football since my father took me to an Illini game when I was 10. He went to Illinois on the GI bill and covered the Illini for the newspaper. My brother and I were at the Thanksgiving game in 2001 when the Illini last won the Big Ten championship. I was at Missouri in 1973 when they beat #2 Nebraska, 1974 beat #5 Nebraska, 1975 beat # 2 Alabama, 1976 beat #2 OSU AND #3 Nebraska. The entire student body marched up 9th street past our apartment across from the quad to downtown where there were massive parties after each win. Farout field was renamed Farout field at the stadium by someone?
@@justincrook6795 Well if you’re an Oregon fan, you should get through undefeated this season with the possible exception of Ohio State rematch because the Ducks are one of the most talented teams in all of football this season. If they hadn’t changed conferences, they have ZERO shot of losing. Have to look at the whole body of work. How does USC defeat LSU then “lose” to “THREE” B1G schools by week 6 with none of them being by Oregon, Ohio State, or Penn State? It’s B1G, SEC, and then everyone else. You’re fooling yourself if you truly believe otherwise.
I think the orgin of where I disagree with you, is on your view of Arkansas. Arkansas is a very good team. They lost two close games to two good programs by one score away from home. They have a good DLine, good rushing D, a dual threat QB, and will have home field advantage against LSU. It will go down to the wire against LSU.
Of course DKR will be on the same level as Bryant Denny. Bama has had lots of big home games over the past decade. This is the first top 5 matchup at DKR aince 2006 - nearly 20 years. Texas has been waiting A LONG TIME to host a game of rhis magnitude
You couldn’t be more wrong about Indiana!!! lol but in all seriousness my gut feeling was that there were not only going to prove that they are for real but also expose Nebraska for the overrated team that they continue to be since the 90’s when they were the vaunted Blackshirts …
Hey Joel, FIRE DEBOER! I am sorry, he may have won everywhere he had been, but SEC is a different beast. Send him and cronies back to the West Coast where softies like him can succeed. R T R
I’m hear to listen to him discredit Oregon again. Pretty sad that we have biased analysis but hey I’ve heard Ohio State fans cry all week. Also an Ohio state player say Oregon left two scores off the board, and didn’t have their best defensive player (Jordan Burch) also the first TD was gifted as Oregon clearly intercepted the ball on the first Ohio State drive.
Call em lil black shirts. The black shirts we played against at CU (mid to late 90's) would rip your face off! They used to break face masks and had household names at every level. We changed the program for decades on Nov 23rd 2001. But they'll be back. They're getting closer.
Year after year I keep thinking that the college football media is finally going to accept the reality that they don't know how good some teams are until they have a real test, and this year is no different. Not only do I think Texas has not been tested yet, I think Georgia has specifically been putting on a bit of a show to make themselves look weaker than they really are in order to prepare Texas for this game. I think Georgia wins this one fairly handily.
