@@sleepwalker29 the TXSE is just a start. The NYSE needs to be split into 4 separate exchanges spread throughout the continental USA. And while we’re splitting stuff, breakup Blackrock too!
A Texas Stock Exchange would be a game-changer. Who wants to do business in a state like NY when they can fabricate charges, stretch the law, and pick a 'judge' to make sure a person is convicted? And if Texas ever wanted to leave the U.S. having a separate stock exchange would ensure access to capital markets. It's a good move.
Came across this video and glad I am a viewer that moved from Squawk to Bloomberg during this time slot. Joe and Greg, I will take Bloomberg Business every time.
This is really about companies listing on an exchange. It sounds like the free market is working as then companies can choose whoch exchange to list on. There is a big difference between where a company is listed and where it trades. A stock can be listed in Texas and trade on every platform. It's about the listing rules being impossed by the exchange and it sounds like there will be less red tape in Texas.
John Deere just did this exact madness. Profits up 42% year over year. Forty Two percent. And the CEO response? Layoff factory workers that generated that profit. Because there is a union contract coming up and he needs to strike fear into the rank and file. Madness.
@@Yakoaxxi because money is where political power comes from, and the NYSE is where most of Americas money flows and moves, anything that drains that money is a threat to NY political power.
Do you want to do business in a state governed by Hochul, James, Bragg and their fellow travelers? When these are gone do we believe there won’t be another set?
Lmao do you really think that's why it's expensive in CA and NY? no it's bc they decided to go with a socialist model versus a capital driven. There's so many bureaucratic twats in CA that it takes 3 committees to agree to fill a pothole
TX saw the over paying fools coming in by the droves from CA and NY and they "adjusted" their prices higher to accomodate those coming here, sadly everything is already higher here now because of that. We're already paying more, to accommodate the CA and NY runaway's.
This is good this can help attract more people to Texas and vote blue and that can remove ultra conservatism in the White House and possibly even the senate
Folks doesn’t get the most crucial factor that New Yorkers are most hard worker, hustlers and go getter people in US if not in the entire world, you may open/have the new exchange and nicer infrastructures, however you can’t change the culture!
If you want fewer regulations… you can simply list on the Shanghai Exchange… they don’t even require audited financials. Meanwhile, Black Rock owns so many companies itself… it could open an exchange simply based on its own holdings.
New York City and Chicago have discussed taxing every transaction, now they probably won’t. Order flow would be moved by a click of the button to the avoid the taxes.
This Governor knows something we need someone like him to run the United States or trumps VP all about small Government and allow the free markets to regulate themselves! Capitalism works!
They need to create an Exchange in Houston to compliment Dallas so its not one and done and two for the price of one. Greatest efficiency. Double the money for the same cost.
Hey if Argentina can start a new economy based on US Currency, what the heck the more currency black holes the better? It is backed by paper tigers no doubt? Why aren't we getting royalties from letting Argentina use our currency?
The border crisis and Biden's policies affect the economy and markets. It's one of the biggest problems facing the country and especially Texas right now.
Just like California the economy would collapse in a matter of weeks. Texas recieved 1/3 of their state budget from the federal government, just like California Texas is a giant succubus of federal government handouts. Texas is not independent, it's just like every other state, feeding off the federal government. It's impossible to seperate without catastrophic economic consequences so just stop with the symantics. The Texas stock exchange is a good thing for the country, but it would be worthless if Texas decided to somehow secede...
This seems pointless. Why set up a whole exchange to invest in oil and gas companies and Texas companies when you can just buy an etf for that? But it might be a good idea to dump all these legacy companies in one exchange and call it day.
@@MC-vd8cw because why would entrepreneus want to deal with quarterly earnings New listings are a massive issue for the market and it's things like that.
@@TheMagicJIZZ Let me help you out here. 1) Elon's pay package went to court in the state in which the company was incorporated in this case California. It had nothing to do with Nasdaq or NYSE. 2) If you take investors money then they most likely want you to go public and deal with quarterly earnings. You don't want to do it then don't take money from investors. SpaceX is going public for sure, and it's not gonna be on some bubble gum Exchange in Texas either,
I have seen this exact same statement from you on multiple different things here in RU-vid on stories in regards to Texas. Just what is your beef with Texas?
My Governor, Abbott used to be a judge? How did I not know that? No wonder he’s so damn smart and fast. You gotta have some serious brain cell counts to reach the level of judge.
🤣the border has been a path way to the US for 500 years migration has never stopped, somewhere along the way the pilgrims decided in there brain that no one else could come in and making seem like they were here first 🤣🫡🇺🇸🧠🧼🍻
