Texas controlled the game. Dumb penalties made it closer than it should’ve been. Vandy is a tough team this year but people who didn’t watch the game or don’t know ball will look at the score and talk down on Texas.
Bruh, TU is pretty trash. Y'all still don't know the ball. Y'all were the same team at the beginning of the year beating your chest after beating Michigan and OU that y'all are the best in the SEC. But y'all had your welcome to sec moment when y'all faced Georgia. Y'all still overrated and overhyped. Everyone in the SEC knows this except TU fans.
@@AlfredPennyworth-r2tYou new to college football? You either didn’t watch the game or just in your own world. Texas played well after a big loss. If you want to be that dramatic then take away the one penalty and it’s a 34-17 ball game. The score does not show the whole story.
The OLine and Sarks play calling at times is what's hurting Texas. Coach Flood needs to get this OLine more discipline and start playing like some bullies.
Quinn played good but texas doesn't look like a championship team right now. To many penalties!!! Quinn is not very mobile and I think that will hurt us down the line. Hook EM HORNS !!!!
How many of the penalties were to make up for last weeks one call? I think a lot. Expect Texas to get at least 4 fantom holding calls next week during the bye week.
Idk man, if you remember last year the longhorns struggled a little in the middle of the season too against Houston and Kansas state, but then finished strong to make the college playoff which was ALOT harder to make last year. Don’t lose hope, the longhorns are very much still in this. I think Texas AM will probably lose once before regular season is over
Texas needs to clean up the senseless multiple penalties. A combination of several calls: offsides, holding, roughing the passer which negated a defensive touchdown, etc etc. The Oline with Texas are primarily Jrs and Srs so no excuse. Clean up the penalties Texas could win out. Continue with these penalties, Texas could very well lose 2 more games. Sark needs to require players that get a penalty to do pushups or sprints until they get it right.
The DPI on 4th down was a BAD call, and several of the Holding were bogus calls as well. If the game was a well called game (it was not) Texas wins going away. That being said Texas overcame all the negative and still walked away with a WIN.
As a Dawg fan I love the horns are crying about the referees and bad calls. Hell the first half when it was 23-0 UGA. We were saying it could have been 43-0 except for the referees. Lol but that was hog wash and Texas didn't get any calls, lol. Hell " we can win out" I see you say. Okay possibly but there will not be a guy from El Paso wearing the white hat in Atlanta and we love drinking bottled water. Go Dawgs
Texas has been playing a good half the last two games. They need to play for 60 minutes, if that happens remains to be seen, but not a CFP contender until it does.
The media doesn't know how to react to the distribution talent in the NIL era. In the past a handful of teams had all the talent. Texas barely beat Vandy and Ohio State barely beat Nebraska.
Indiana manhandled Nebraska. Doesn't mean Nebraska or Vanderbilt are great, it means that Texas and Ohio State aren't anywhere near as great as the media has been trying to sell you they are
@@Talking_Comics the transitive property doesn't work in many sports, but especially football. This is because it is about matchups. Scheme, and individual. One player can cause an avalanche effect. Vandy is not very talented. But they are a hell of a team running a very good scheme. With the perfect QB for it. There is a reason they beat Bama, and can stand toe to toe with other good SEC teams, but a not so great team with a scheme that matched up well against them had them in a pickle.
@@Talking_Comics Also, teams, much like people, have good days and off days. Georgia was in a fight with Kentucky. Who Vandy clapped. But then they take Texas on and look like GODS. It isn't cut and dry. The best teams can win on their off days, and absolutely demolish on their good days. Those are the teams that consistently are in contention for conference titles and the playoffs. Georgia was national champion while struggling with kent state one week.
He was 19 of 21 in the first half… Very few Qb’s in the country are capable of doing that. The O line has to block. Batted balls are because of not blocking well enough and because of those slow ass developing RPO plays Sark keeps calling.
Its not even a him thing tbh. Hes been really good on those intermediate passes and hes still been fine on them the last week or two, i just dont know why sark keeps on calling those swing passes because they havent been working that well lately lol
@@BradenKoi I wouldnt say that lol, he did take a few during the vanderbilt game. That slot fade to deandre moore was a nice throw that im pretty sure he audibled, but he definitely hasnt been taking very many
As a Dawg fan I have had to listen to Sarc and I don't think very much of the guy. I know it breaks his heart, save it. This isn't a knock because I don't have a knock on UT football and I am confident we will be seeing each other again this year and how many times after this year is depending on the time we pretend NCAA football is normal. For instance Tex and UGA are #1 and 2 doesn't matter which, and they play. Why does another team not playing 1 or 2 or anyone ranked (Miami) move up ahead of the loser.
I'm glad TX got the win and Ewers certainly looked better but the defense won that game for us. Defense is solid but the offense is having problems. I can maybe forgive Ewers for the first tipped pass but the second was absolutely his fault. He threw it directly into someone's face that read the play and Ewers didn't react accordingly. The penalties are unforgivable and almost gave the game away not to mention took points off the board. Offense looks undisciplined and/or lost at times and this will *not* work against the teams on the rest of the schedule...especially TAMU. TX offense better wake the F up fast.
As a UT grad/fan, I can absolutely say that the final score WAS indicative of what happened in this game, especially in the second half. Our defense played well AGAIN, but our offense was inconsistent, shaky, and there was almost nothing downfield to make me feel confident in our bigger play potential moving forward. Quinn, aside from his batted-ball pick, was great in the first half; second half, ehhh not so much. Still somewhat indecisive and almost seems like he's accepting any potential sacks way too early. In fact, I think its safe to say that our offense hasn't really played a fully competent game since we took the foot off the gas at Michigan (all respect to Arch against ULM but the level of athlete just isn't the same). Anyway, love your commentary; I just don't seem to be getting the cozy vibes that this Longhorn team is right where it needs to be. My expectation level has been lowered drastically from what I've seen the past two games -- I hope they can get rolling again. Hook 'em!
I was most impressed by Quinn's ability to fall down on the ground quickly when someone appeared to be getting close to him. That was Pro Football Impressive. Punting and special teams are.........well special. This is the best jr.high shit you will see. Penalties continue to impress everyone.
Texas won't go where they could with all the 2 and 3 yard passes. Quinn was good against zone and not against man. Look at 1st vs 2nd half. Hopefully the bye helps "reset" him
I'm looking forward to the CFP, just to see how SEC the SEC really is. Remember when #14 Bama was #1? #25 Missouri was #7? #19 Ole Miss was #5? The excuse is that the SEC is just so tough that teams beat each other up, but teams have just looked bad.
@@Lovehaslimits as the hobbits would say... PohTAYtoes. :) Agreed the haters are gonna hate and that's ok. Living rent free in other fans heads is always nice.
@@DennisCoffman-dd8ok That’s exactly right… it took us half a season to expose this holier than thou conference as the little divas they’ve always been….
I did see Ewers attempting to step up in the pocket at times which is an improvement and matches what the start of the season was. I have a feeling coaches will build on that the next couple of weeks. Penalties really hurt the momentum of the whole team. I believe if there were less penalties Ewers would have played better in the 2nd half.
Love this channel. Thank you for your honest opinion. I agree, I hope the lost to Georgia was Texas’s wake up. Hopefully with their bye they’ll get rested up for the remaining season. Hook’em! 🤘🐂
Why everyone not seeing Ewers who he is I watched the game he did not rewatch watch his composure after each of those two int he had the idc posture. Those yards were most from simple check downs and the wr/rbs did it. His lack of mobility is gonna be our shortcomings
Not a Quinn hatter but a fan. Perhaps If Quinn would make a few more moves in the pocket ( avoiding those tip balls/int maybe) , I believe he'd find even greater success. Every time he steps up or changes his throwing angle, he seems to get great results! he's very Accurate on the move!
The Longhorns definitely have some things to clean up. The O-line particularly has to be more disciplined and focused to stop getting penalized and to do a better job as a unit in pass protection. Quinn has to get back into early season form as well. The running game also needs to improve but I think yesterday was still a good road win. Could have been better, but this isn’t PlayStation. Get the win, live to fight another week and get back to Austin and work on your team performance in practice this week. Welcome to the SEC!
The game should have ended 34-17 with the pick six that happened late in the game but it was taken back due to a stupid roughing the passer mistake by a Texas defender. Texas had 108 penalty yards will penalties nullifying big plays multiple times. Vandy is good. No doubt. But Texas’ defense came to play but again they were put behind the eight ball having to stop a Vandy offense on short fields.
Texas O Line needs to wake up and be more disciplined! The penalties are unacceptable! Did Texas O Line catch something from OUs O Line? Hoof to Mouth disease? Hook Em!🤘🤘
So you are going to be very complimentary of Vanderbilt and elevate Texas for winning is puzzling and makes me feel you are not qualified to give info. Vanderbilt beat Alabama cause Alabama got caught slipping. Alabama just beat Missouri in the ground and Missouri beat Vanderbilt. Nothing is different than you having a ridiculous thought about it. The Long Horns aren't that good as you say. Beating s ranked opponent in the SEC on the road is great and necessary to be the champs. But Vanderbilt wasn't like playing LSU in Baton Rouge or Alabama in Tuscaloser. It's freaking Vanderbilt (god love them). This is ridiculous not saying Texas isn't as good as you thought instead of grandstanding and saying Alabama is the other great team to struggle with Vanderbilt after UGA. Why don't you just be honest and quit trying to get Sarc to like you? Vanderbilt though a prestigious University and the Alumni are our bosses and they rule the world can't be a good football team. They beat Alabama in Daboer's first year, okay, this is a new Vanderbilt. Noooooope. They will be lucky to beat Alabama in the next 20 years. But not according to you. Well UGA ain't lost to them in 7 straight years. But they did lose to Vanderbilt Kirby's first year and the next year UGA was #2 in the nation losing to Alabama in CFP final. Vanderbilt has been beaten by Georgia State University who are bad, real bad.
Like saban said win at vandy after losing to UGA let's show we have heart of a lion. Very few to listen to, saban is one you got to listen to everybody else just meat riding and hating on texas.
How can you be over hyped when you've been in the top 10 all season with a 7-1 record and the only loss is to #2 Georgia. Lmfao! Haters will always have a negative twisted view of some kind of excuse to smear Texas.
@@wildmouse5888 Exactly, I can see around 4 SEC colleges in the playoff and if they're not lined up against each other, I can see at least 3 of them going to the next round.
Let’s get real and exit the delusion… this team is simply not very good, mainly because of Ewers and the O line. Texas will lose to Arkansas and A&M, and I’d not be surprised if Florida and / or Kentucky beat them.
