Texas ranks 4th in anti-Asian incidents; how to stop the hate 

Many Asians in Asia they heard about the racism in America but think it's a thing of the past. The sad truth is it has happened and it's still happening!

As a Filipino-American and a veteran myself, I feel you, brother!

This is nothing new. The only thing new is the media is reporting about this.

As an Asian I can definitely feel the resentment towards us even here in Canada. Thanks goodness Canadians in general are not violent but it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Most of the attacks are verbal but also most Asian business suffered 2x as much during the pandemic. Even in the job market, it's harder to get a job if you are Asian, definitely the prejudice is gaining momentum.

Support 2nd Amendmend and take conceal carry where ever you go. I am a Korean American locked and ready and so should all the Asians.

racism is the big issue in almost every wealthy country. but it is shocking to realize that the beacon of freedom in the world is infested with this just as bad. I am sorry for mankind. when do we realize that economic pressure is what really divides us? Sharing is caring, live by that and you will see a lot of aggression and conflicts dissolve.

I was once asked by someone if I'm willing to fight my country of birth(Philippines) if ever US goes to war with Philippines. Me: Yes if given the opportunity. That's never going to happen though. One way to stop the hate is to fight back; carry a weapon, mace, etc. when you see it happening. That will leave a sizable part of the crowd more hesitant to attack other people.

why do these racists discriminate against Asians? The Asians (Japanese, Koreans, Chinese and Vietnamese people)I personally know all work really hard and make long hours to support their children and family. They all deserve better than telling them to go back to where they come from. Don't forget it's the Chinese people who build your railways in the USA way back in a time where discrimination against Chinese people is regulated by law. It will never change in my opinion, if the people who are in the government or politics who want to change for these minority group then it has already been changed 20 or 30 years ago. My brother went to Paris last year. He was called "ching-chong, go back to china!" by people that sell eiffel tower figures just arounf the actual eiffel tower when my brother refused to buy it. They pushed him. Unfortunately my brother is an amateure MMa fighter in Japan, so he beat up two of them fracturing their nose and eye sockets. He went to jail for a week and got sent back to Japan :) He said racism exist there but it was all fun experience.

Texas is second largest in population but fourth in AAPI attacks. Which means there's states with fewer people but more attacks.

My best friends for 20years at work were asian (vietnamese) they were very loyal friends and I would stand up for them 100%. They taught me how to swear in vietnamese, so we could be politically incorrect at work and the bosses had no idea. Irrelevant I know but had alot of laughs.

East Asian here, this kind of stuff has been going on my entire life. People look at me strangely and visibly move out of my way more than usual-I feel othered, like I don’t belong here. I have White parents, no ties to my birth country, and no matter what I do or how I speak, people are going to think I’m a foreigner. It’s exhausting. Bew Jirahariyawetch was attacked at random by 40 year old Kevin Douglas as she waited for train on November 22 2021 Mercel Jackson, 52, was arrested February 15th for random attack on 67 year old Asian woman January 19th. Christian Jeffers 48,arrested for hitting an Asian man with a hammer on a Manhattan subway platform has been charged with hate crimes and ordered held on a $300,000 bail on Friday. 03/11/22 Keaundra Young, 24, was indicted on charges of assaulting Jung Kim on March 17 2021.A grand jury concluded that the assault was motivated by racial bias and added a hate crime enhancement to the charge. Asians, time to relearn the ways of our ancestors. Always remember that some of the deadliest martial arts were originated from our continent. Judo, Kali, Karate, Muay Thai, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, name it we have it. All Asians should learn these arts and use it accordingly.

For immediate matters first, law needs to look within itself, within government, courts, law enforcement, NSA CIA FBI for racism within the departments of government. If you are migrated from one country to another country, you must maintain the courtesy and dignity over the native people and country. I am seeing majority of people who got visa or PR think themselves that they are part of that country and they think they can do whatever they want to do. That's not right, you are not part of them and you always belong to some other region and go there for the job which is belong to one native person. Some people behaviour may affect the entire population of your own race. Keep humble and be united.

I live in an HOA in east Texas that has all white supremist board members & staff; I am white but they will not let of my Asian friends in the gate to visit me. The house next door to mine is up for sale, my Asian friends tried to buy it but the white supremist owner would not sell it to them nor will the HOA allow them to live there if they did buy it. Immigrants move here thinking they are escaping to a better life but are actually going from a frying pan to be thrown in a fire.
