@@BeerBreath702 I wouldn't be spending $35 for fast food anywhere lol. I would take that $35 and buy twice as much food at the grocery store. Now you will reply with, "Well, she didn't want to cook. She wanted something quick." Fine. Anybody can do whatever they want. Again, my priorities are different and IN MY OPINION that's too much and I would not pay it. The end.
A lot of people don’t remember when these first came out during the lockdown this was about $22 and they increased the prices 2 months later from how much people were getting it.
@@darrenb2020 You’re going to have to prep, cook and clean. And you STILLLLLLL have to account for the price of the meat, oil and flour. Not to mention the sides lol have fun saving two bucks 😂
@@threethirtynine1514Odds are that Texas Roadhouse's chicken tenders are just premade frozen ones that they dump out of a bag and cook in the oven. That same 2.5 lb bag of tenders costs $13 at Walmart, which means between cooking and cleaning, you would have spent about the same amount of time and effort as waiting on food to come from Texas Roadhouse while saving $23.
Publix has a meal deal for half of that. Hawaiian rolls two sides and your choice of wings or an 8 piece chicken made anyway they offer. Texas Roadhouse screams steak not chicken!😂
Yeah im not spending 40 bucks on a chicken nugget meal and a sorry looking salad. Better believe im at publix grabbing two boxes of fried chicken, 1lb of coleslaw and a lb of potato salad for cheaper.
It would cost you more than $35 to get the same amount of chicken in McDonald's nuggets. Even buying wings at the grocery store would be close to $35 for that much chicken. It's a great deal to only spend $8.75/person and get that much good when eating "out" somewhere.
@smania7575 lol where are you buying your chicken? My local Frys grocery store has chicken for 6.99 a lb right now, buy one get one free. A head of Romain lettuce is 2.00. A rip off still, but there is no way she has even 2 lbs of chicken there. A 5 lb bag of potatoes is lik 5.00 too. She could definitely have made this for like half the price.
@@Osama_Bin_Ladder I had an eating issue, went from 220 to 190 and 6'1 the past year. I binge eat and dont eat out anymore. So yeah i know its unhealthy, but I would absolutely take that down no problem.
@Osama_Bin_Ladder are you a child? 100% false. Everybody needs a different amount of food. If you sit on your butt and do nothing with your life then yeah, don't eat all that. If you work hard and burn 3-5k calories a day, then it's calories and protein that you desperately need to not lose weight and become unhealthy. You people know absolutely nothing about nutrition
$35 dollars dam for a bunch of chicken tenders with some fries and a salad.. and looking at the fries it looks like out of the 4 each one get 5 and a half fries… good god. El pollo loco has a good deal. Like 12 pieces of chicken for $20 and comes with sides… you got tortillas at home with some cheese make tacos.
You are delusional…. U think this is 2014 or something?😂 a 4 PERSON meal for $35 is insanely cheap from a place like this. Ur not getting a 4 person meal deal for $25 anywhere other then KFC💀
I’m from the uk so I dunno but that doesn’t seem worth it to me maybe $35 equates to £25 but of the food looked nice then it would be ok but that looks basic and dry
Bag of potatoes $4 Salad bag $3 (2 for $4 at some publix) Pack of Chicken $10 Bread rolls $4 Probably could last you 2 meals as well if you bought yourself and cooked it and at most prep and cook time is an hour or less
What about all the flour eggs oil salad dressing spices and you’re generalizing the prices not including tax you’d be at close to 35 and you’d still have to make it yourself 😂
This doesn’t look like $35 worth of food to me. Iceberg salad, chicken nuggets, instant mashed potatoes and canned green beans. I could make that (with frozen nuggets in the air fryer) for under $20 in probably 20 min.
This! People would save some much money if y’all just learned to heat up your own food. All of that looks exactly like the frozen/ instant stuff in grocery stores and probably tastes worse than if you just heated it yourself and seasoned the food…
Since my daughter is a manager at a location i can verify that everything there is made from scratch. If you don't feel like cooking or short on time I think this is a good deal
All the sides are made from scratch besides appetizers, salads, and meat. I know because I made it all. All of the sides, excluding corn, are made in house. I had to peel potatoes and cut them up every time we needed mashed potatoes. I could easily go through 200 pounds in a day. Just me
I know I’m just some random person and it might not mean much to you but I hope everything turns around for the best for you. Seems like more and more people are going through this by the day, hang in there my friend
I'm in a similar boat. Check out frugal fit mom and the wolf pit. Those channels are actually realistic with cheap eats. I've been following them for a while. I was desperate for something other than ramen and chicken with rice. They always have some decent tips. I've been able to make $10-$15 last a week for myself. Good luck out here.
Me eating a gluten free diet spending 40 -50 bucks per day on just myself . Anything that the US government knows has more nutrition for you is 3x the cost of regular degular seed oil drenched food
They had that same meal for 20 dollaes during covid time that's when it was worth it except they gave you disposable aluminum foil trays. So double the salad double the chicken, double the sides and double the rolls. That's when it was worth it 😊
Thanks for sharing, yes, I struggle with general ideas for me and my kids and this is something to think about and I always try to keep myself in a price range if we order out. It’s so expensive today so in order to be able to eat out I order and go pick it up.
She has two young kids, one of whom is a toddler, so that probably could fill up her family. My fat butt could probably eat that whole salad myself though, lol.
It really depends on the family 😂 I probably could get away with feeding my family with it but I have a guy friend that could eat that by himself in one sitting.
Your better off going to Texas Roadhouse & get the early bird 🐦 deals!! Under $10 portions are nice - comes with 2 sides - if your smart - use side 1 as your appetizer - soup (chili) or salad - then your entree meal + side #2. My wife & I get the chicken critter salad it's huge- no sides - we order the chicken tenders - box that up & get 2 small cups of chili as our sides (appetizers)
Mcdonalds is way cheaper. You can get a cheeseburger pack for $14. Its 2 burgers, 2 medium fries and 20 nuggets. ×2 its only $28 for 4 people, and if you use the app you can get 25% off every time so it would be more like $21 not including tax. Much cheaper value there if you order from the sharables menu and use the app rewards. This is a bit more variety though and better quality, but more expensive
@@brandonbedard916yeah it’s crazy how people are like “that’s not even enough to feed me”. Y’all need portion control. It’s not suppose to be a full day of food for $35….you can’t order that same amount of food at any other restaurant for that price.
I could make all of that, for around $20. When I start growing my own veggies, then probably under $15. I'll be raising my own chickens, too. Maybe I'm just cheap, but I wouldn't pay $35 for that.
All these comments saying this isn’t worth $35 but I swear I can’t have a meal for TWO these days for less than $60. I actually think it seems like a fair price for what you get. Feeding a whole family? Maybe not, but it’s a good amount of food
13 dollars max at the grocery store if you cook it . Not worth it all unhealthy crap other than the salad. Bag of frozen fries 3.00 Bag of salad 3.00 Chicken nuggets 7.00 Comes to 13.00. Buy real chicken breast and bread it May make it 10 dollars more. Still cheaper. But healthier and none of that is a meal it’s all snacks /appetizers
I'm honestly not as blown away by Texas roadhouse as the people I've gone there with. Though I've only had it 3 times, my favorite food I've ordered there is the loaded baked potato.
Great video bro. The part about prioritizing a house over the car really hit home. I want a Porsche Boxster and can afford one BUT the idea of not having a private garage to put it in makes me hesitant while I’m saving. It’s a tough choice because in my eyes the houses are overpriced and my rent is cheap compared to the surrounding houses. So I can enjoy the car and then commit to saving for a house when the time is right. Very conflicted
Chicken $18 Potatoes 4lb-4.37 Can of green beans-2.37 Instant mashed potatoes -5.00 Bread- 4.00 Yeah it was cheaper for her to buy this than groceries plus seasonings,butter/oils
@@lucianaromulus1408 Texas Roadhouse is MUCH better than McDonald’s and you can’t get that much food at McDonald’s. So… the OP’s comment that it’s not a good deal is garbage take… was that confusing?
Everyone saying it’s not enough for $35 dollars is crazy. This is by far better quality than what you get from McDonald’s, and here lately it’s at least $30
It better come with more than that!!! I could eat those fries by myself… and!!! Those chicken tenders easily.. and I’m skinny!!! This is just getting sad… and I’m thinking she paid more for that white box of chicken nuggets.. something just ain’t sitting right with me about the two different boxes of chicken tenders… 😂
@@ashlaraque4135 have you been to Texas roadhouse? I don’t know where you live but where I live it’s horrible. I ordered My Son a cheeseburger and it came out so hard like a hockey puck.
@@miimonalisa yes I have and Texas roadhouse is pretty good. Just because the one location you went to was absolutely trash doesn’t mean that all locations are like that. That’s just ridiculous to believe when they have locations all over America and the quality of the food is determined by the person cooking the food and obviously they don’t have the same person cooking the food at every single location.
@@cheysinghjust wash as you go and you won’t have any to deal with later. It’s the same principle as rinsing your hands as you cook. Plus if you really want you can heat all of that in the oven on some tinfoil. They’re just selling you premade food from the freezer section of a restaurant depot.
Went to Texas Roadhouse yesterday first time in a while. My 8oz sirloin is now $17. It was 11.49 not even 2 years ago. Factor in tip that’s a $6-$7 increase for one plate.
Everyone saying this isn't enough food for $35, are you kidding me? This looks perfect for $35. But go to Five Guys and spend that same amount on 2 meals and call it a "great experience" 😅
Are you surprised that America, the country with 2/3rds obesity rates, highest rates of cancer, high blood pressure, and diabetes, would find this 1,700 calorie/meal to be "not enough" lol.
I’m a small eater. One roll, 3 to 4 chicken strips, 1/4 of the salad and a mash potato or fries would fill me up. Because that’s a salty dinner. I would down 2 large cups of water
dude most places skimp on the SAUCES! Like you get a barely half filled sauce cup if that. I brought it up at taco Bell like the picture in the website shows a FULL guacamole cup. they were like , it's 2 pumps. no dude. either make ur sauce cups smaller or FILL THE CUP. it's like u pay for an "extra" side of sauce and get a 1/3 filled container. it's not just them, it's most places w takeout
I'm not gonna lie, after going to Japan for a couple of weeks. Prices and fast food sorta restaurants like Texas Roadhouse don't got anything on that country. I want that steak/wagyu culture to transfer over.....you can feed your family for like 15 USD there😭.
I mean it's a little light imo. They could easily double the chicken nuggets, the chicken strips they could definitely give you more, salad isn't bad, definitely need more fries and mashed potatoes. Decent amount of sauce though
Texas Roadhouse isn't about the food, it's about the experience of dining in with friends and family. If you can, go to a local steakhouse. It's usually cheaper and you get more bang for your buck.
I hate the whole parking lot and cashing out line ups but you can probably get a better value ready to eat family meal with two fresh rotisserie chickens plus salads & fruit platter dessert next time you shop there.
That's a great deal, not sure why people are saying other wise? Have you been to zaxbys lately holy crap gonna spend 15 easily for a chicken strip plate. That's alot of food plus the ease of just picking it up. Love it!!
This place isn't as great as people think. Worked in the kitchen for over a year. Service industry workers do not get paid enough to deal with how bad customers are today. It's mediocre food but the place was packed out the door all day and people bitched that they had to wait 2 hours. Thankfully I don't work there anymore but I feel for those that do
For a sit-down restaurant, this is a good deal. A few of my coworkers and I split a lot of family meals like this during covid when places were offering everything to go ane sweet deals. All 3 of us could eat this for like $10 person at the time. I miss the covid family deals all the really good ones are gone.
I think that feeds 4, I would take the salad, my kids would have 1 side each and chicken, my husband 2 sides and chicken. My son is an absolute garbage disposal for food so thats the wild card. There would be no leftovers. 4 adults though? Depends.
Everyone saying $35 is too much lol. When my family of four eats there it’s usually like $70 but we get steak. Only thing I saw was not enough honey mustard for the chicken and not enough cinnamon butter for the rolls. This is a pretty good deal for the money.
Yeah I understand most of y’all’s comments but also we are paying for those that had to prepare the food for us as well! Some things we just have to deal with or make our own at home.
I eat there alot over the decades. Pretty good place over all. 35 plus tax is bout 39. Leave at least 5 dollar tip so 44 dollars. Not bad not to crazy. 2 people lunch or dinner.
There are alot of people saying its not worth $35 and I guess that shows me how much I spend for food for myself would be insane to some people. I probably spend like $45 for myself when i go to texas roadhouse so that sounds like an amazing deal to me.
The 🍗 amount seems sufficient…the 🥗 is 🥗 so it’s fine…the sides are pretty sparse but nbd….but only 8 Texas Roadhouse rolls?! Naaaaa you got me fuckkked up! 10 should be the minimum…but for 4 ppl…I’m saying 12 should be the amount! Also they better have included plenty of cinnamon 🍯🧈!😏😂
I will not be going back to TRH again. The last time we went, they delivered my salad AFTER the meal came. I felt like I was being pressed to hurry up and eat and get out. I have Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Disorder and have COPD because of it. If I get stressed I get MORE out of breath than usual. I am a Senior. When I eat out I want it to be relaxing, NOT STRESSED. Waitress apologized and gave us 2 bags of shelled peanuts...gee thanks. Was very disappointed. Don't care if I ever go there again. I would rather go to McDonalds
That's not a bad deal for how much food you got compared to many other restaurants. My husband and I could eat most that ourselves, but we do only eat two meals a day. Either way, glad it filled your family's stomachs for less than $9/person!
