This was great color blind casting. Finally we see a Stanley who isn’t trying to be Brando. The actor even shows a little humor here, and it’s an interesting interpretation of the role. Overall a brilliant performance.

As a person of Polish ethnicity I find this offensive and feel it is appropriating my culture. Also all this "color blind casting" seems to only work in one way, we only see white character's being played by people of color but we never see black characters being played by white people. There is a lot of double standards when it comes to color blind casting.

Everyone did such a fantastic job. I was sitting here wondering the acting technique you guys study, I'm guessing it's Uta Hagen.

We all studied at Texas State and got to learn a lot of different techniques. But this production was primarily driven by a technique called physicalization with Michael Costello.

I don't think it was the best choice to have Blanche flatly mumble one of the most famous lines in theater down and facing upstage.

Making Stanley black changes the dynamics of the play. Makes the message more distinct. I didn’t notice when Stanley was white what the word ‘common’ was implying.

@@rebeccajames9181 Did not say anything about his acting. He was good sometimes, no problem with that. But... "many races of Stanley"... OMG what are you talking about?
