@mikehardman7566 There is no such thing as a federal election. Easc state holds an election, to determine their federal representation. The state's representatives then vote in the Electoral College for President.
@mikehardman7566 It's a moot point anyway. The database has always been available to the states. Apparently, Texas thinks the federal government is supposed to do the cross referencing for their voter registration...which is not how it works in any state.
Wish it were that simple. I am not sure if drivers license necessarily links you to your citizenship. I could be wrong, but just some food for thought....

From the DHS's SAVE site, the one being referenced: SAVE only verifies DHS-issued immigration identifiers. SAVE searches federal immigration databases using identifiers input by the user agency from an applicant’s immigration or citizenship documents, including A-Number/USCIS Number and Naturalization/Citizenship Certificate Number. State voting officials may be able to acquire DHS-issued immigration identifiers like A-Numbers from the records maintained by state driver’s licensing authorities. SAVE cannot verify an individual’s naturalized or acquired citizenship status using a Social Security Number, driver’s license number, U.S. passport number, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or other non-DHS documentation. SAVE also cannot verify U.S. citizenship using only the registrant’s name and date of birth. As you can see it's useless for determining if a person is voting legally or not. Bringing the site up was just another red herring the propaganda arm of the DNC threw out there to make it look like an easy fix but Texas just can't figure it out. Wrong, and anyone who has even spent the briefest time perusing what it contains will know it.
If I lived in TX I would bring my Drivers license, my birth certificate, my social security card and my medicare ID. Just in cas=e they deleted me the last minute. I check my voter registration daily because I live in a red state and I just don't trust any of them.

Of course they will, free housing, medical care legal help food, monthly checks, phones education... The Democrats are counting on the illegals voting, besides, they can just come right back in.
_…put themselves in jeopardy of being deported?_ In 2024 alone, over 3,000 people that are wanted for murder have been caught illegally entering and released into this country, on top of another 13,000+ convicted murderers and 20,000+ rapists. No one is worried about getting deported.

This is entirely on Texas. The database with the info they need to cross reference has always been available. It's a state's job to verify their voter registration rolls, not the federal government's to do the work for them.

It's already a requirement to provide a legal ID and proof of residence to register to vote ! This is a lot of noise to build suspicion into an already secure right!!

She did not check that box because she and I are honest and I was with her when she applied for state id! Please do not assume that it is impossible to obtain voter registration, even here in tx!!!
NO. You can get state ID and live here on a temporary basis of say 6 years but not be a permanent resident or citizen. If youre here for limited term ( it says on the id limited term) stay you are able to get a state id but you are still not supposed to vote. So YES THEY CAN SNEAK IN AND VOTE. Abbott would be correct in trying to add that extra security as this administration was just recently caught mailing ballots to illegals. Some are asking why Abbott didn't handle this before, well they didn't think the administration would do this. THIS IS CHEATING! And proof of residence can be a cell phone bill, or something easy to obtain.
There are many immigrants who came here illegally over the past four years and last few months who have been given transportation, temporary protected status, and sometimes money, by the current administration. This temporary protected status gives them the ability to get drivers licenses in many states, including Minnesota. Many of these immigrants have been registered to vote and checked "non-citizen" on the registration form. They are then added to the voter rolls as non-citizens. They are supposed to be removed, but if new ones are added close to the election, or they weren't removed due to other factors, apparently the federal government just says too bad.
You just contradicted yourself. They are marked as noncitizens… that means they do not get added to the voter roles and even if they did they’d be caught at the voting booth, not to mention that someone here illegally isn’t going to risk getting caught. It’s really a non issue , with no evidence that it’s happening and definitely not ‘in large numbers’. Now what I have seen is a white person (just for reference) going up to vote, giving a name of someone they knew, but because Drivers Licenses weren’t required at the time, pretending to be someone and then vote … only to come back minutes later stand in line again and do the same thing with a different name. So yeah DL can indeed be helpful and all states should require photo ID

Just about every state requires a "REAL ID" driver's license. Verification of ID and such needs to take place at the time of registration. If further documentation needs to be provided, it shouldn't be impossible for local registrars to request it.
I know this is the millionth video on the topic, but the Constitution EXPLICITLY states have the rights to establish their voting practices. This is the stupidest thing ever. To register to vote in Texas , you need to have EITHER a Texas driver’s license OR a social security number. You CANNOT be a non-citizen WITH a social security number! So this is absolutely pointless.
