been to a number of these. For size, clarity, lack of crowds, and just the bizarreness of the scenery vs the swimming hole. Balmorhea is tough to beat. And a car drive through the Davis Mountain Range is a big bonus.
Me and my friends did this during the start of covid and got caught and cops came and gave us warning but said we could be in trouble if they decide to do anything. Haven’t heard back in years
I have been to several of these --- some only once, and some repeatedly. I have had both Hamilton's Pool and Balmorhea State Park all to myself. You used to be able to go to Hamilton's Pool for free, day or night. I have watched the full moon rise over the cliffs from the basin below. It is an amazing place.
We moved from Austin to Boise in 2019 and used to watch every Sat AM with our daughters. Resurrected the tradition this AM with my youngest and now we’re planning a road trip back to hit some of our old favorites and try some new ones out!
I was surprised to not have seen your visit to the blue lagoon just outside Houston in Huntsvilles Tx it’s really beautiful there w/ pristine turquoise water as well!!!!
I lived in Arizona in the Tucson area. Loved the heat there. I also spent many summers in Missouri without air conditioning and only a little fan. Summertime in San Antonio is nothing (fans myself while sitting under the AC).
If only the water was clear and not green. If only the bottom didn’t feel like you were in quicksand-mud. If only the water wasn’t stagnant and contantantly moved like the ocean. I promise I had the best attitude when I moved here. But everything was green, mossy, and I just couldn’t imagine what was in the water. We ended up getting a pool. 😀
We're new in Texas. We love camping in our RV anywhere that has clear, clean water . Thanks for sharing your video, we just subscribed to your channel, absolutely we will visit this place soon.
Swam all on the list except Bahlmarine. We have one of the most beautiful holes - The Rock Hole in Hamilton tx - on our family property. Cliff jumped off Lake Whitney. Worldwide favorite = Jardin Del Eden Cenote in Tulum MX.
(Jacobs well is dead, the salamanders, fish, and turtles were found floating all dead.) (Developers) Aren’t you concerned? Haven’t you noticed decline? Are you aware of the overall decline since the 80’s? Are you aware of LiveNation’s mass and invasive plan through straw dog contracts, taking advantage of nice locals ignorantly Volunteering to clean park creating shell volunteer groups while ACL profited 350 million from ticket sales alone and breadcrumbed the City/park just one million. Live Nation is doing this to the parks All over the world. They get the city to provide and maintain the venues while they keep Millions- this is not even mentioning the music monopoly they’ve created through ticketmaster. They’ve exploited Ambiguities regarding Austin’s identity, “ live music capital of the world “ not happy and nice city because of spring and dogs- which I believe is the true identity of Austin). It would be one thing if they were smart business that protectd the spring but they don’t care, they would sell it out for money they can get from their music venues. The spring has declined by 80% (water/sec) ad well as temperature and cleanliness. Locals want ACL out of the park completely while they are trying to appropriate the spring for private venues!!! Eventually your private springs will be effected. Thought you should know.
As long as there's no gators or water moccasins in the cool water I'll jump in here in California we have good swimming holes Diana falls. Rainbow pool, rivers galore 3 rivers ,arroyo seco river but right now the swimming holes are dangerous because heavy cold winter of 2023
I went with a friend from Modesto to Sonora to tuolumne city over the mountain or hill bucanon drive down the hill to north fork tuolumne river nice shady with pine oak and cotton wood good wading pools safe for kids 3 feet deep clean water had great time it was 105 degrees down in the canyon cooler 95 temp July 15 2023 I'm going back next year camp ground 40 per night
I ruined an expensive pair of store bought swim 🩳 shorts sliding down the Ingram Lake 🦫 Dam. Everyone else was wearing cut off blue 👖 jeans repurposed into tuff swimming 🩳 trunks. So, you live and you learn.
Our kids didn't need reservations until butt heads started making videos, so we charge the crap outta y'all. Yall come back now! 😂 Thanks for advertising the water. We see it leaving by the 18 wheeler loads. State comes in and we charge. Dry for 2 years 🤬. It's open with water available. Used to be a secret.
@@johanitawasson so all the swimming holes in the video have the town name. Start at Blue Hole Wimberley. Maybe the Garner State Park. Then Blue Lagoon in Huntsville
GRAMMARLY COMMERCIAL If you let GRAMMARLY scan your PC for spelling mistake/other/....they will have a COMPLETE List of ALL YOUR docs on your PC........ALL your files they scan....to PROTECT you from poor grammar /rolleyes at the sneakiness Hamilton's pool, Barton Springs.......THE WATER IS ICE COLD at Barton Springs. Even on a hot 103 degree August afternoon in TEXAS, the water is FREEZING COLD =)
Nice video, but the water is not cleared, then the Caribbean, and about jacob well, is not the only one in the world. Places like Mexico have it, or check Dominican Republic " blue hole" just to mention few, but regardless of that, nice video. I will like to go to almost every single one that you mention in this video.
It’s getting bad, I know people who have been offered large sums of money (to shut up regarding protesting developments) and have even had pets eviscerated.
