Kids shouldn’t have to go to school in conditions like this. It’s traumatizing. How can you learn and concentrate with thinking someone is going to burst through the doors shooting. This is so sad. Very brave kid.

I feel lucky to still be alive but I'm so scared to think what if it happens to me or my loved ones. Ive been shot..no amount of adrenaline could make you not notice. show me proof it actually happened. shell casings, gunshot residue, medical examiner report or video. So far I have not seen any actual EVIDENCE. Someone saying he was shot with no visible wound is suspect.
Its medically impossible to get shot in the back of the neck, have the bullet exit your cheek and not damage something requiring at least a night or two in the hospital. They keep talking about this kid getting shot but yet there is no visible evidence of that. There three different accounts of who pulled the fire alarm....one says the Sub teacher (a male teacher) one says his friend did as he was running out of the room. the last one said his friend who passed the shooter in the hallway, who said he saw the shot gun, did when he got passed him. So who really pulled it? and why are there no interviews with any of those people. IM not saying something didn't happen, but to sit there after hearing and watching the accounts of the day and be good with what you hear is foolish and blindly following with out questioning what does not make sense. So three of his fellow students and friends are violently murdered in front of him, he's shot and wounded, although we aren't give any specifics, he's cradled a girl with a gunshot wound to her face and arm, and first of all, his parents have allowed him to be interviewed on national Tv the same day or next day, and when asked how he's doing, he responds that he is okay, 'just a little sore'? None of these interviews of the kids, which I think is hugely invasive after such a trauma, in any of these recent school shootings have jived with my world and the people in it, and how we would be beside ourselves with grief, in unimaginable emotional pain '/over the killing of students, friends, teachers we have known for years, like family. We certainly would be unable to give a coherent recounting of what happen (which one kid said it was 8:20 am one said it happened at 7:30 am), or interview with no emotion whatsoever. It is mystifying to me. Rome Shubert, the student who was shot in the head and the bullet exited behind his ear, went to play baseball the next evening. He was in the same art class but he said that everyone ran out of the room, through the backdoor, and he had to climb a 7 ft. wall to escape. If the unexplained conflicting stories and timelines are to keep the public confused and unsure as to the real facts, it is working.
Punishment should fit the crime: for egregious and depraved crimes such as this, public flogging should be restored, followed by public hanging. In my opinion, this would be a practical deterrent to potential mass murderers.
