Reports also came in from Granbury, Texas, about an hour from Fort Worth, where golf ball-sized hailstones were spotted. Witnesses described the hailstorm as sounding like bombs hitting the area, causing significant damage. The impact was so intense that it shattered windshields and led to downed power lines and uprooted trees in San Marcos.
Late Thursday, the National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for several areas in Texas, adding to the already dire situation. By Friday morning, over 300,000 residents, primarily in southern states, were left without power due to the storm's aftermath.
