It wasn’t meant to be public, I just made this video to help myself study and listen to the audio in the car while driving; but since I passed the ESL on my first attempt, I made it public to help others. Sorry for the typos
Hiii Flowers your best bet is to know some of the base knowledge, grammatical information, but then feel confident in your ability to judge scenario questions. Make sure to answer questions as if you had all the time, money, and staff in the world. For example- if the ESL asks you what’s the best way to teach an ESL Math? Small group, one on one instruction, or whole group instruction- what’s the answer? You’re likely to choose a reasonable response like small group instruction- but remember (if you had all the time, money, and staff) one on one instruction would be the best way to teach ANY student anything. Good luck!!!
Megan, you are awesome. Thanks for NOT taking this down. It is exactly what I have been looking for for weeks. I just needed a little boost to gain a better foundation so that I can dive into the content to prepare for my exam. You rock and congrats on passing your test! BTW, being a visual learner, were there any other videos that helped your preparation for the exam that you would recommend?
CertifyTeacher.com (its a paid program) helped me alot to get some of the basics memorized so that I was able to reason and answer the scenario questions or questions I wasn't sure of.
Taking my test in about an hour. Nervous, of course! This video has REALLY helped to review major elements, along with my notes from a review seminar. I’ve watched/listened multiple times! Thank you!

No. It’s very helpful, but there’s more content you need to know. Use this as a starting point/review when convenient. But you really need to read at least one study guide and take practice tests in addition to this.
I would really like some help with preparing for this test. I have already taken the test and did not pass. I really felt sure of myself but fell short somewhere.

Homonyms are spelled the same AND sound the same but have different meanings. Example: saw (past tense of see) and saw (tool with sharp teeth used to cut) Homophones are spelled differently but sound the same, and have different meanings. Example: flower and flour AND there’s another one!! Homograph which sounds different but is SPELLED the same and has a different meaning. Example: lead (as in leader) and lead (in a pencil) Think of homoNYM like synoNYM so they have the most in common. Think of homoPHONE like you hear on a PHONE so they only sound the same. And think homoGRAPH like how you use a pencil to write and GRAPH something so they are written/spelled the same. Hope that helps!
