Make sure you're moving the 'vector motion' value - not the 'video motion' value.

I’m trying the same thing with an image instead of text but when I try to adjust the vertical motion, the whole mask moves with it and I can’t get it behind the mask.

Im unable to take opacity rectangle to left side of the canvas. If u could tell me ur email..I will send the video so that u get clear idea of the problem.
