Hi @Excel Bytes, any clue how to separate individual characters in the words to different columns? Which technique/ formula can be used? Scenario: Customer service would like to hear the email ID so legibly i.e. in phonetic alphabet (A-Alpha, B-Bravo etc...) way so that they can follow it easily and capture it more efficiently. Splitting the characters will help us do this task more easily.
IF I understand you correctly, you want to take the text in a certain column and break it down so that each letter is in a separate column to the right, correct? Then, assuming your list starts in cell A2, and you want the letters to be in columns B to whatever, in cell B2 enter this formula: =MID($A2,COLUMNS($B$2:B2),1). Copy it over and down and you will have what you want.

I'm sorry but I don't totally understand your question. Would it be easier if you sent to me a sample of your data with a detailed explanation of what you want to do? You can send that to mrempel@excel-bytes.com
