You are such a great stylist, i appreciate the way you take the time to learn about the products. I've done the Texture Release myself (would not recommend doing it yourself) and I definitely needed the instruction booklet nearby since there are so many steps that need to be done right. I wouldn't mind it at all if my stylists used the booklet. My aunt used to do my hair as a kid and it always annoyed me that she never read the instructions. She did things wrong sometimes.

Hello second video from you that I am seeing. You are so thorough and I didn’t know that Avalon has a product like this. I was looking into a similar system by CHI but ( I know let a professional do it) it seems very tedious and again I was someone who did her own relaxers and would see my beautician in NY (loved her she would call me a kitchen beautician) until we moved to VA. I am an RN I can appreciate your honesty as it’s the same with me when baking the same pound cake for the holidays I know what the recipe entails but I don’t want to miss something. But on the unit I will read what I need to do before going into a patient because I don’t want them thinking I don’t know what I’m doing. So I think people will think what they want depending on how they view things. Again thank you it shows you love and are passionate about what you do.

Hey I am following you. I need advice on how to repair overprocessed hair
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
@BehindTheScenesM2GH Год назад
Hello thank you for considering me.. over process hair I would definitely have to see it to give you a hundred percent a advice on what's going on with your hair.. because it depends on what your hair is missing if your hair is weak then it's important to deep condition your hair with strengthening shampoo to build up the strength.. also you want to make sure you're partnering with a strengthening shampoo you should do this every two weeks.. now unfortunately if your hair is very severe then is really no way you can reverse it and you will probably have to start over..

I really wish I could find someone that does this. I got the Chi Enviro version done by a very qualified stylist and I don't feel like it made my hair easier to straighten or detangle like I was told it would. I paid $400 to get it done too.😑 I wonder if this one would give me better results since it's specifically formulated for afro textured hair.

How does the hair react to moisture and warmer environments after the Avlon relaxer treatment has been applied. How long does this process takes.

So great question so I'm located in Houston Texas so that is high heat and humidity it works perfect and that type of environment for your hair to 100% revert back you will have to wash it .. but to learn more about the texture release you definitely should go check out more of my videos I go into great detail about it

Yes I recommend this dryer for all hair types. If you are working on building the health of your hair I recommend you do protein treatments every two weeks. Here's the process and product recommendations for that my2goldenhands.blogspot.com/2022/03/Protein%20Treatment.html. I hope this helps :)

How does texture-release hair typically hold up if someone frequently exercises? Does the hair revert back to curly?
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
@BehindTheScenesM2GH Год назад
If you're exercising and not heavy exercising like lifting weights and being in the gym for almost 2 hours then it will typically revert back at the base so you'll see it waving back but the rest of your hair will be straight..

Beautiful 😍 would you suggest this for natural hair that’s got heat damage? And do I need to use a separate heat protectant? Also will a texture release help to lay my edges better? Thanks 🙏🏾 😊
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
@BehindTheScenesM2GH Год назад
You can do this process if your new growth is healthy enough to go through this change. But that will not address the heat damage. The heat damaged hair cannot be repaired it has to be cut. I would suggest you have a consultation with your stylist as this is a chemical process although it washes out over time. If you have to search out a stylist in the mean time I would at minimum do a protein treatment every 2 weeks. That will help with the new growth being healthy until you find someone to cut the heat damage and apply the texture release. Here's the protein treatment I am referring to my2goldenhands.blogspot.com/2022/03/Protein%20Treatment.html. I hope this helps :)

Hello and no I never done a texture on top of a relaxer and if I just go by my belief I will tell you to pick a chemical because multiple chemicals on one area can be damaging

I would like to know if you don't recommend castor, a follow up on what oils you do recommend because that's a cliff hanger. I personally use castor oil and I know a lot of long haired naturals that do. If one oil isn't particularly good, then what is good in your opinion.
@heathermitchell3257
@heathermitchell3257 Год назад
Jojoba oil is a lighter oil and easier for your hair to absorb as opposed to sitting on the surface.
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
@BehindTheScenesM2GH Год назад
What are you wanting the oil for? If you are thinking moisture you should use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. With this conditioning process you should do a deep condition. I have a blog post about that my2goldenhands.blogspot.com/2022/03/Hair%20Care%20101Shampooing%20and%20Conditioning.html. Then between deep conditioning for shine you can use this amzn.to/3Ns0pZI. Castro oil is too heavy, will cause a lot of build up, and clog your pores. Any of the heavy oils (Castor, Jojoba, etc.) you have to use a very very small amount and be sure to massage between you hands heating it up to have it really liquid. And also only place on the very ends of your hair (furthest away from the scalp). Feel free to ask any follow up questions.
@cresh5165

Is this the similar to a Keratin treatment?
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
@BehindTheScenesM2GH Год назад
Great question: A Texture Release is a heat activated Smoothing System that features Amino Acids and Conditioning Agents that crosslink deep into the hair fibers to enable styling versatility. Enable you to have optional textural change with increased combing manageability. Texture Release is formulated specifically for naturally curly hair. This system is designed to provide additional moisture & conditioning for your hair and scalp. Now when it comes to Keratin treatments I haven't done keratin treatment to give you my professional opinion on comparison but when I did a keratin treatment on my hair long time ago it was very dry and it didn't last but it could have been done incorrectly on my head years ago.. I hope all this information answer your question in some kind of way 😊

Thank you so much for making this video - it’s very informative and reassuring to see how it should be done! 😊 Question for you: how do you remove the dilator residue from your blow dryer brush? The brush attachment looks like the type that doesn’t come apart so you can rinse it off. Wouldn’t that chemical transfer back to your client’s hair?
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
@BehindTheScenesM2GH Год назад
Thank you for the compliment :)The dilator should be rinsed out completely before the hand blow-dryer is used. For the system I use. I could not speak to the process of other texture release products.

Is it possible to do a texture release with tape ins? Does it last longer than a regular silk press?
@BehindTheScenesM2GH
@BehindTheScenesM2GH Год назад
I want to clarify you can do a texture release on your hair and then add tape ins. But you should space the services at least two week apart. To allow time for your bonds to strengthen. For example you get a texture release on the 1st. Then on the 15th (or later) get a protein treatment and add the tape ins. Please keep in mind this is a general recommendation. Your stylist should be the deciding voice on delivering these services for your hair. Hope that helps :)
