Is this a touch-up? Or is this done on Virgin Hair? Because her hair looks curly like it has been done before that's why I was thinking it's a touch up
I am a licensed hairstylist and I had a client request this style I am familiar with perms and I just wanna say thank you for this amazing tutorial! The fact that this was done 5 years ago and now I am doing one and able to find content on how to properly do the wave nouveau I feel so much more confident thank you!
I really liked how she divided the hair into 9 sections. I've never thought of how much simpler it would be to separate the hair. Good job. That turned out cute 💇🏾♀️
This was the best video I have ever seen…step by step, amazing!!!! Now I am confident of doing my own hair with this kit after seeing your video🥰👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I used to wear this all the before I went natural. Now I want to go back to my wave naveau soon as I find someone in my area even if I have to drive an hour. I loved the curl, so convenient
Good job on your sister hair. This video is almost 2 years old so I'm sure someone had already stated this is NOT a texturized this is a jheri curl aka curly perm. A texturized does not include any rollers it only relaxes the curl pattern like leaving a relaxer on for 5 minutes and rinse out.however this was the perfect example of a jheri curl. My mom been rocking it for 30 years years her hair is so healthy so I highly recommend.
Great job! I will be trying this on my own hair in a couple weeks. I'm pretty good @ doing my own hair so I'll give it a try. I love curly hair and I need a change. Iv been natural for over 2 years with 4c hair and it's been fun but a hassle trying to keep my hair moisturized and matted free. I need a style that's more manageable. I'm excited. Wish me luck. 😉
I'm curious to know if you did this process yet and how did it work out for you? I'm also 4c, natural for over 8 years. I'm tired of the time and maintenance it takes.
@@mashundajackson7050 Hi, yes I used the Wave Nouveau twice. In the beginning it was nice. More manageable, soft and curly but soon after I started shedding, alot. Just too comb thru my hair I would get clumps of hair. I shed so much that i developed a few spots in my head that had hair loss, not bald but the hair was shorter than the rest. I actually just big chopped on the 29th of December because of that ordeal. Wont be curly perming my hair again. Lesson learned. IDK if it was because of something I did or not. You could get it done by a professional instead of doing it yourself but as for me I'll stick with being natural. Good luck! 😊
I'm so sorry you had that experience! Wow! I wonder what made that happened. I've had this in mind to do for some time now and finally decided to go for it. I actually just purchased everything. I already had my mind set that if it doesn't work out, its just hair! I wouldn't know where to go near me to have this done professionally, plus I usually do my own hair anyway. Thank you for your update. I will do more research to possibly not have the same thing happen before I apply the system.
@@lenak1438 soo sorry this went that way for you,..I’ve used their products for over 10 yrs ONLY the moisturizer lotion and the spray,..not the cream chemical stuff..I wonder if these two products would be enough for you, not too many chemicals to fry the hair!!..I weekly use deep conditioner..silk element mega silk olive n silk protein….I think it grows my hair quickly also, because it keeps it moisturized daily..but NO MORE perm products, just keep it natural..👍
I'm thinking about getting one on my 4C,D,E,F,G Type hair 😂🤦🏽♀️🥴. Since I work at a hospital, the simplicity of it's maintenance would be ideal. Your video has been the most detailed I've seen on here, with the desired results I'm looking for. Thank you for this!!!! My decision has been made!! I'm excited for this!!!🎉🎊❤
You did a wonderful job! Explaining and everything. You gonna get a lot of views and likes because it's the most informative video on this topic. I appreciate your help, Thank you!
Wow just finding ur videos this was the best step by step video thank u for slowing it down taking ur time to explain I look forward to up coming videos 👍🏾👌🏾
Did a wonderful job!!!! Thanks for this video I am about to mine myself looking at your video give me alot of confident that I can!!! THANKS AGAIN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Omg I was abt to give up and not do it at all with all the good and bad and idk I had a big chop and scared to ruin my hair again and have to do it since it took 3yrs to get it back to normal and I’m tempted now and believe I might be successful because of this
I am currently on hour 2 of phase 2 and I must say, I wish your video was suggested first. You were so informative and answered a good bit of the questions I have right now lol. I too, am using a thicker size rod than what you see most use when doing this process. And I have been very nervous about it. Thank you darling for this amazing tutorial. 💕
@@keilahrose2999 yes i LUV IT. i just gave miself another one yesterday. I really just wait 3 days and shampoo it n wear a wig. Im growing mi hair out. I tracked in sum wavy hair and it lookd so natural. I did mi daughters in a wave nouveau n shi loves it. It doesnt come out as curly if u have really coarse hair ( i do) but babae. Mi hair looks wet n wavy hunti. Mi arms hurt but mi hair looks fabulous!!!
I haven't commented on line since last year, I believe, but I had to tell you that my niece is pregnant and so she decided to get the wave nouveau so that she don't have to worry about doing her hair while she was pregnant. She called me and told me that she was sending me a video of a lady doing the wave nouveau and explaining how to put it in step by step. She said that I would love the results of her clients hair. When she sent me the video...it was you! I told my niece "I know her! She does do beautiful work, probably the best wave nouveau I've seen. I told her that I also won a package from you that I never sent for because, I am embarrassed to say, I don't know how to work the computer like that. Anyway , my sister put in my nieces wave nouveau and my other sister put in my mothers wave nouveau while watching your video. Both came out really pretty. I want my sister to send a video of my family watching you do the wave nouveau. It is so funny! They were arguing about who was doing it right and who was doing it wrong. But all and all they had a great time, and thanks to you, they discovered a talent that they never knew they had...putting in a wave nouveau! Even though I haven't been commenting a lot on your videos, or anyone else, videos, I must tell you that I watch them and really enjoy them. I love you, and keep up the good work!
I am all over this video & taking notes. I am in quarantine so the beauty parlor is closed. I have to get my sister’s hair ready. After I saw this video I went right on Sally’s website & ordered everything you used.
I love your video it’s way to follow step by step. It wa very helpful for me . I’ve done it 2 times so far and it worked out very well. . Your video helped me through my hair process. Thank you!!!
End result looks extremely cute, I would love to try this. Good instruction too :) I need my hair moisturized bad, seems like nothing ever hydrates it.
Pamela Coon Naturally Beauty Naturally You turns out my best friends sister went to beauty school and to pass her final test, she had to do a cold perm. I bought everything needed and when the time comes, she’ll do it. I think rolling it myself would’ve been too hard. I like my hair rolled in spirals. I’m going to show her your video! Thanks again! 🙏🏾❤️
No matter what it's called now, it's still a Jherri Curl. Nothing is wrong with Curls; they got a bad rap back in the 80s because the activator products used had a tendecy to drip everywhere! and a lot of peopl had to go around wearing towels around their necks or tucked into the back collar of shirts and blouses. It is 1/8/2020 when I posted this comment and I am getting an Hawaiian Silky Curl put in my hair tomorrow! I love this product line for Natural or Processed hair and most importantly, it DOES NOT drip! I love using the Activator Gel and just a bit of activator spray, massage into my hair and style. My hair grows very quickly and you can determine the size and looseness of the curl pattern by the size of rods used (you already know that). You did a great job with the process!
If you were in church early 1 Sunday morning & happened to catch the spirit, will this style bounce as you jumped & proceeded to run around the church? ⛪🤔...seriously tho you did a great job sis 👍🏽
I haven't used the texturizer, but the moisturizing lotion and finishing spray give me near like results. But, I must moisturize daily after 3 days. You have a great technique and results. Thanks for sharing.
Also I have a question like what if I do it on my hair will I have to cut it to go back natural or like can I still grow my hair while having the wave naveau on my hair?
I love your video. I did my hair it came out beautiful. Years ago I got my hair done my curls would stay in. Even after washing. Now I color my hair because of the gray. So after a while I wash my hair and my curls are gone. I know it's the color. I've used snap back didn't work. Any suggestions. Thank you.
Hello and thanks for the support I'm sorry that your curls are not turning out like that should be turning out I recommend that you start doing deep condition doing deep conditionally will restore balance and restore the curl bond breakage and add back your curl pattern that it lacking 💚
Great Question, Unfortunately No you would need to let the relaxer ware off your hair first. You can try after 4 Months but it's really should be 6 months without no relaxer.
i just had my WN few days ago by myself at home. my roots didn't became curls (it's from the middle down only), maybe the relaxer didn't made them bone straight enough?! how soon i can repeat the process to fix it and make my curls more define and tigth ?
Okay, from what I can see, the straightening part with the relaxing cream renders the hair less straight than a usual relaxer, am I correct? I’m asking to be sure I understand what texturizing is. Now is this curl perm wet or dry? Does the hair have to be sprayed constantly like the jheri curl?
Her hair came out cute I love it you did a good job!! Now I want to try this out , I love this video you went step by step on how to get this style 😊❤️
How do you maintain this? Do you re apply every month or every 2 months? Can you wash hair as much as you want to? Can you do treatment? Can you color?
very nice!!!!, when you first did her hair, did you do a test curl, if so, how. want to do this also. I have done perm before so i know the first process
Ha! Every time I tried to put something in my hair (relaxers, texture enhancers its) it always caused my scalp to burn so finally I took the hint and let it just do what it is going to do. This looked very good though
Yes you can do slick ponytail and you actually can get braids as well, I just recommend doing other styles when it's getting closer time for your curls redo
I really like the results! May I ask where you got the perm rollers from? That’s the exact size I want for my curls. Others I saw were too small or too big
