Terrafuse is hard to get in the United States. Easier to find something similar at a nearby concrete business. Terrafuse actually suggested I tear out my steps and pour new. It wasn’t anything near the disrepair from this project or other projects I’ve seen on RU-vid.
Can this product be troweled out over the very porous surface of aircrete in order to create a good hard wear surface if aircrete were used for a floor slab?
@@TerrafuseInc I'm not exactly sure. You can stand on it without leaving marks but if you had heavy duty work boots on and jump up and down you would probably leave dents.
OK my question is about the accelerator. And I guess it depends on the thickness. Will it not shrink after it cures. Cause just about all solids shrink with heat after a period of time. Not trying to be a d..k I'm just curious lol.
NewCrete is a polymer modified portland cement. It relies on acrylic polymers to bond to concrete, TF Structural will chemically bond to concrete. NewCrete has maximum thickness restrictions, critical mix ratios, low temperature restrictions, and working time can't be adjusted. TF Structural doesn't. There are many other differences, as the chemistry and technology of TF Structural is completely different from Portland cement modified overlays. Portland cement doesn't bond to concrete, so I has to be 'glued' to the concrete with polymers. TF Structural doesn't rely on 'glue' to bond to the substrate.
