TF2's situation is deeply concerning, the truth we thought we knew about tf2 has been a whole lot different for the past almost 7 years. If we as a community want to save the game we love we need to act NOW or never. #fixtf2
I'm sorry, but the entire point of this movement (unlike the save tf2) was to say HOW MUCH WE HATE tf2 and VALVE, not to praise its supposed "perfect balance" (which it obviously does not have with characters like snipers and engineers). Youre going the save tf2 route again
They stabbed it and left it bleeding out with the competitive update. Poorly implemented , full of cheaters , and the removal of major community servers. Nice video
Much appreciated! I completely agree with you, the removal of major community server’s is the worst offender to me. Meet your match felt so out of place for tf2 and was so blatantly obvious that it was trying to replicate matchmaking and competitive from other games. It was such a risky move for a game like tf2 though still on a paper a nice idea but the execution was horrendous.
Don't give them credit. they stabbed tf2 twice and spit on it. stabbed with MYM and did it again with JI when they didn't revert MYM. and they spit on tf2 with the blue moon update where they make casual mode barely functional.
They really just need to bring back quickplay. Keeping the meet your match changes and matchmaking doesn’t help the game as the automation only benefits bots.
I agree, and if they have half a brain they will know that, we don’t need a big content update just a matchmaking change. Quite a simple matchmaking change is all it could take
If there are so many bots why that video from Jesus has more than 500,000 views? Are 475,000 views from bots? Do people watch a video multiple times? Like in the order of 1000 times again?
A lot of the people that watch TF2 content never have played the game. I've heard of TF2 years and years ago and never got to play it until literally just a few months ago.
I mean a lot of people enjoy content of games they dont play. Its not a niche game, but a lot of people may consume content of it, but not even engage with the community anymore or at all.
I took a dab right before I clicked on your video, and I swear when you said "Twenty-five hundred thousand (2,500,000)" at the start of the video, it completely short circuited my brain for about 15 seconds. Edit: and that pyro clip at 0:49 absolutely killed me
We've had this same video multiple times every year since blue moon. The community will keep it going until people lose interest, and it probably will coast with
if casual dies and the servers are replaced with community servers like cs 1.6/css does then its going to be hard to find a good server because most of them are from NA/EU and some servers may have custom assets/mods you need to download halfway, as someone who plays from southeast asia its going to be hard to play with comm servers and i rather have casual cleaned up
I never asked for an update, nothing about this video is asking for an update. The game has cheating bots in almost every offical server. That’s not fair for fans of any game with a player base the size of tf2s
I never understood comments like this. You do know there are literally new players on this game everyday, right? I'm new to it myself. That's the reason why people are "crying," over it. New players just wanna play the game ffs. That's all.
and before doomers will show up and forget about common sense, yes, in some sort valve haven't lost YET. but if you think that by "not fighting" they ain't losing, that's pretty much the definition of lose by default. Bot crisis MUST associate with VALVE, and the more controversial the phrase is, the better.

Bot crisis MUST associate with VALVE, and the more absurd the phrase is, the better.
tf2 community needs to take serious action like we cant cover this up with a sound smith funny moments or a banny 50 killstreak we need to act now and tell valve
Taking the time to send a quick email to valve expressing that their product is unplayable to an unacceptable extent can make a big difference if we all pitch in. Use this link help.steampowered.com/en/
As someone who buys barley anything in this game and knows what nothing is worth and has never used trading sites, I wouldn’t be surprised if a large portion of tf2s remaining players are similar to me in that we just want servers that work and will do anything to achieve that even if it means making our own servers and community’s
@@jpuc5568 The fires of time consume all, leaving embers of what once was. But, even embers will chill given time. What we are looking at are the weak flames of a once great fire, left unattended and only barely able to fuel itself. TF2 has outlived many, including those trying to replace it. But all fires have a start and end. TF2 is no different. TF2 will die if nothing is done soon. TF2's community may keep it alive for a short while after it dies, but its march to the flames will inevitably happen.
The TF2 player base is such a broad brush that I don't think we would be able to convince enough people to stop spending money on TF2 to make a noticeable difference. Even if the money flow from TF2 was decreased, Valve also owns Steam. Trying to get them to do more than the bare minimum is pointless because they have no reason to feel accountable for the issues caused by their negligence. It's a big case of "it is what it is" because like most things in life there is literally nothing we can do to make things better, so we might as well enjoy what we have left
I agree, and after more thought I realise that it doesn’t matter so much about how much we buy or don’t buy. But what matters more is that the vocal sphere in the community changes and spreading awareness of what’s really happening in this game. Valve was able to sit around for years without most people noticing but now that the truth is wide spread information valve might switch up who knows but yeah unlikely. Good to be optimistic tho
Tf2's economy is still connected to cs2s and dota 2s economy though, Aka valves biggest money makers outside of steam. Even if it's small there is a chance that it can damage cs2 and dota 2 too if tf2s economy gets damaged enough
It’s time to #FixTF2 lads! Get off your seats and brighten up. We literally have nothing left to lose by sticking it to Valve, the game might as well already be dead if we’re just gonna sit around and do nothing. It’s either we let TF2 die because we’re too lazy or discouraged, or we die ACTUALLY trying this time. Boycott Valve, and tell EVERYONE to do the same, let the entire internet know just how terribly we’ve been treated over the years, and don’t let up until the bots are GONE. Do this, and maybe, just maybe… TF2 might be saved, because if we don’t, nothing will change and the game will stay dead forever…
tbh I really don't care if most of the playerbase is bots. It doesn't really matter at all. Why should that mean anything? The only issue I have with bots are the ones that ruin games.
Good script, delivery was good overall. You seemed a little nervous at the start, but you were calm and collected for most of the time. Got your point across. The call to action is clear. Background video and gameplay are good. Video editing is ok. Provided player base statistics to support your argument. Overall, 7 scouts out of 10. Got room to grow
I saw that and I somewhat agree with that buying more may be the solution. As valve would have no incentive to keep the game alive if it stopped bringing in money yes. But there will always be people buying things in this game for years to come. I think he misunderstands that the point of “speaking with our wallets” is more of a temporary protest that if we all stop buying at once may amplify the cry of the community’s needs and complaints.
@amiiboking569 Meh, you do you, and we do we. If we chuck Valve a bunch of solutions, eventually, something has to stick. I just can see that since Valve isn't going to touch TF2, then why not let someone else touch TF2 for them. Heck, why stop at stepping in one studio and instead step in a few couple studios that Valve can trust to not mess up their cash cow.
my dude, i appreciate you showing your love for the game. its clear to me that you very much have an understanding of the situation. *However*, you are straying too much from the point as the video stars. i believe others have said it, we're not here to reminisce anymore. we did that too much last time and we were too nice. we must be precise and to the point now. this has to be about the bots and valves negligence first and foremost.
I was trying to do a cool thing by showing the reality everyone has thought for years to then show the contrasting harsh reality yk. I completely agree with you and I actually say that in the video if you watch to the end I adress the problems with the old save tf2 and mention what we need to do now. To be more harsh and send valve emails not pleading to fix the game but instead telling them that their product is unplayable and unacceptable and scummy. I recommend you do that too
Man, I haven't watched this channel in, like, five years and just got reminded of it now. The level of production quality has gone up by magnitudes, these videos are really good! Narration is also really good as well. Keep these videos coming!
i feel like the reason your protests never worked out right is that demanding an "answer from valve" is too vague. what exactly do you want the developers to do? you don't fight exploiters in one day. also community servers are better than valve servers anyway. tell me one good thing that makes casual useful
I love community servers a lot more, it’s more the fact that the game will bring no new players in. It gate keeps a lot of players that see the game online and want to play it and then are met with servers of bots
The fix tf2 movement is going to be focused on fixing the game, speaking out about the unplayable bot riddled servers may put valance in a position where they have to do something. The goal is to speak out about it so much on June 3rd that it trends everywhere
I don't know about everyone else but recently I've seen a huge amount of new players join the game and old players too. Probably because of #FixTF2 but it's still awesome to seem
Also since all these players have started playing i have barely tun into any bots i played few 2 or so hours yesterday and i think i saw 2 bots both in the same game i didn't even run into them. It feels amazing to see hope #FixTF2 works
Friendly reminder to comment on the video so it gets better traction on youtube. Even for those who rarely comment, we may as well use their algorithm to our advandtage #FixTF2
I haven't played on Valve servers for years only Skial, UGC and Uncletopia. All those servers have enough players and I don't think tf2 will die so long as community servers exist. I always knew Valve servers fucking sucked lol
Tf2 won’t die, and honestly I don’t play casual a lot, I ply uncletopia and competitive pugs but I want the game to get new players still yk, it doesn’t deserve this

I don’t understand why people think that boycotting a game/valve will kill the game faster. Like: no? You call THAT tf2 in 2024 not dead? They gave up on the game 7 years ago. On the twitter when the savetf2 was around they said that they know about the problem. Now with zesty Jesus video we have an idea why they did so little:if the game had something about 15k active playing players then they just saw it’s not worth their time(which doesn’t change the fact that they’re scamming people for not working product and it should be called a scam imo). My opinion about tf2 was left negative since 2019 and I won’t change it because this game don’t deserve it anymore and it’s valve’s fault
At this point, let it die. It would have been so easy for them to just let the Quickplay server run and be community moderated. No they didn't: they wanted to take all voting away, all the balancing away, disable ad-hoc connecting so you couldn't play with your friends in separate teams. They took all the responsibility for matchmaking, team balancing away from the players for themselves, put up a sign so their horrid servers would be the first option to select and they left the room and locked the door behind them. Judging by the smoke coming under the door they also set the building on fire. They never understood what they were doing they never understood anything else than Dota and CS:GO in last 10 years. Small teams - highly competitive - full of micro-optimizations with player base which considers a water faucet a major problem in map design. Valve is not the same company as it was when they made their classics. They now only copy from Blizzard like Artifact and "Deadlock" have proven. They don't understand games as fun anymore.
That’s so true, if valve didn’t touch this game after 2015 the game would of been just fine. It made the huge mistake of trying to appeal to mainstream gaming by taking inspiration from their big competitive games dota and csgo at the time. Yes it sucks more than the old times but by no means does that mean we should settle for servers that are full of cheating bots. If you want to play tf2 casual mode nowadays you should be able to and its fucking depressing that you can’t even do that. We should do what we can, it takes 5 minutes to send an email and that’s all anyone needs to do to make a difference.
I may have not played tf2 but it’s sad to see people not be able to enjoy because of a company’s negligence. I hope the #FixTF2 actually works and people can have fun again.
I will tell you what all these games are turning into: a bot market to control the prices. The hackers at play just do this because they are bored and profiting on it, so if this does not work anymore, there is one thing left to do: Leave. Don't sell unless you want your money back, but simply just leave the game for a year. No more competitive, no more actual players, let the bots just take over cause no one will stop them. Why: Because if there is nothing to stop them, then no one playing will bleed them of money and their source of their amusement. Anyone who sticks around after another failure to wait it out for year will simply be the addicts to the pain. Eventually, they will leave too... the only way to save this game is to simply put: break the point of the bots and state of casual: THE PLAYERS THAT KEEP HURTING THEMSELVES IN THIS NONSENSE.
I think this is kinda of a good idea, though realistically we can’t push the idea of “don’t play the game for a year” but we can push the idea of a boycott which weezy is fuckign over the movement by not pushing that
@@amiiboking569 If someone has to be optimistic about this, Weezy deserves his reasons to be. The irony in Weezy's movement is that the bot mafia is planning the same thing on the same day. They are getting a joy out of all this, and anyone that the bot mafia catches making a threat to their business they will try and attack. Ironically, their weak point seems to be them only using areas that can exploit not getting banned or reported at all like Steam, Discord and Community server raiding, and social engineering real players to target a social media profile who are easily mentally manipulated. And from what I heard, I wouldn't be surprised if they target their competition that won't join them.
I remember a time where the only cheaters were actual players, so you could at least have someone to make fun of for being terrible at the game. Now we don't even have that anymore because of the automation... :\
@@amiiboking569 Unless their profile is set to private but exactly, there was still a human element involved with both sides. But because there's bots it's all one-sided and you can't really express your frustration properly. I mean, I don't think the bots are going to care we we did to their mom last night since they don't really have one. First, gaming has slowly become soulless, now hacking/cheating has become soulless.
0:16 how unfortunate that this is not true, the fact that the great majority of listed player on tf2 are not actual players is one of the main reasons #fixTF2 is happening
most people also dont realize how deep the bots are in the tf2 market. so i see prices for things rocketing as manyyyyy botnets that are holding massive amounts of metal and just farmed items getting tanked. bots are why the economy is so flooded and cheap
I said 15 thousand as of the time I was writing the script, as that was around 25 percent of steams player count. There isint the same amount of players everyday, I did watch his video multiple times
Very unacceptable. It's no secret they need to be held accountable. Sure it's a free game, but it still isn't fair to us. They should at least get some contractor to do something about it again, if they're not going to.
Not trying to copy, more want to give my thoughts and start a discussion because I want more tf2 content to be about this and out there instead of tf2 heights.
We need to parrot the message you deadweight. You can either sit around and do nothing and TF2 will stay dead forever, or you can actually try to do something this time, and maybe there’s a chance shit will change.
I hate when you say people love tf2 cos of its goofy art and taunts etc thats not why people like tf2, you put all that stuff in a shit game and no one would play it tf2 has good gameplay
Dude I literally glaze this game for its gameplay in this video, the games charm is a huge part of this game that has spread to people out side of tf2 and into main stream appeal. I don’t even buy taunts or hats I run default load outs lmao im an honest try hard I love this game purely for its gameplay. Majority of tf2s players love this game for its casual fun which is just objectively true and I say in the video. And this is coming from a guy who doesn’t gaf abt friendlys and I kill them on sight. I still acknowledge that this game is loved for that goofy side that no other game has. No other game has anywhere near the charm tf2 has to it. As someone who participates in competitive tf2 so much it’s refreshing to indulge in funny bullshit that wouldn’t be funny if it weren’t for the artstyle characters ect Point is no matter what type of player you are, this game has something for you which is very worth mentioning and is just stupid to hate smthn like that
its just a game get over it. If you get depressed about this game and even if you try to leave the game for good you need help or you shouldn’t have wasted your life this long.
Who tf are you bro, a game that people have been fans of for years is deteriorating thanks to valve. I don’t need help, you don’t know me, your probably obese and can’t do shit.
@@amiiboking569 I don't send email to corporations. You can't even watch a video if it doesn't have Family Guy funny moments™, subway surfers gameplay™, oddly satisfying video of cutting soap™ paired with some Underale music.
