[TF2] "Competitive" Spy 

If your team is dead when you get the kill, they can't capitalize off of it, and they'll be back at around the same time as the rest of your team, so in that instance, unless you single-handedly wipe the whole team, kills don't make as much of an impact. Only exception would be a med pick to reset the ubers. This only really applies to real competitive play. Valve matchmaking is a meme and shouldn't be taken seriously.

StaryKrow valve matchmaking may be considered a meme but it's whatltf2 has needed for a long time. A place where nothing is banned in 6s and can be balanced accordingly. A place where the normal 6s meta is not the best because the only reason it's the best in "real" 6s is because of class limits and weapon unlock bans. Bans that are not in there because weapons are overpowered, but because they slow the fame down.

some are overpowered if used right, like rescue ranger, but its not really the weapons fault, its the gamemode of 5CP in general thats at fault, it makes it too easy to defend last, in payload and such, you always see evenly matched teams both push to the end, because it gives attackers spawn advantage, theres no way to slow the game down, you cant sit on a point and wait to figure something out, you have to move consistently because youre up against a clock, on 5cp, there is no rush for pushes, once youre up a round you can sit there all day and defend because you have no need to push. 5cp gives defenders advantage which is why people think defense classes are overpowered. most of the weapons themselves are not overpowered and still counterable, my last tf2 comp match was against 2 demos, 2 heavys, and a vac med and scout. seems hard to push against but we had; scout, spy, heavy, pyro, med, and soldier and won 2-1 everything is able to be countered 1 way or another, and if real 6s stays with all these weapon bans then tf2 competitive is the only way to find how to balance them in the way they need to be balanced instead of bringing pointless nerfs that dont help or nerfs so hard the weapon is unusable to begin with. 5cp needs to be fixed before basing weapon bans off of how they work in that gamemode alone. it ruins every other gamemode when they base the nerfs off of it.

A kill to be useless is so hard to achieve. Your entire team needs to be dead when you get the kill. And even then your team is gonna spawn faster then the guy you killed which still helps and isn’t completely useless. For a kill to be fully useless you would need to a kill a guy at the same time your entire team died which is pretty much impossible.

A kill is only useless if the rest of your team isn't there to pressure the enemy further and push them back Unless you can wipe the enemy team by yourself, while your team's away/dead, a kill really won't make much of a difference, save for a Medic kill to reset the uber of course, as your team and their team would be back at around the same time ...But such a situation wasn't happening at any point in this video, so laugh at the salty bitchbois who're still angry despite winning

That's only true if your team is alive to take advantage of it. If they all suck, like his team did, that might not be the case.

A useless kill is only if both you and the target die and nothing is capitalized because of it. If you kill a medic as spy while your teams medic still runs, well now you’ve got Uber charge pressure on the enemy team and suddenly that “useless Med kill” is actually a really good step to victory if your team capitalizes aggressively on the fact that the enemy got no heals.

Spy is hard especially for new players. They have to sit and learn how to perform a trickstab and shit. It's not just splash damage my friend.

Except I'm willing to bet few people market garden in competitive and rocket jumping during combat isn't that hard, the only skillful part of playing soldier is learning rollouts but actually hitting and killing with him is just a matter of knowing how to use his weapons, which just takes experience.

Boom Knight I've always seen Spy as a reverse Sniper. They are both supoort classes that can really turn a game with picks. One is far range and often kills you for pushing up too far, and the other is close range and kills you from behind if you push too far or don't watch your back. Each one can make a defense or push fail with the push of a button (though one takes a few more presses than the other)

I think the point of the video is that this exact stereotype is ruining the experience of many tf2 players who main offclasses. Some players can't look past the stigma and blame them for no reason other than that is the stereotype. Even when you're doing well as an off class, people still judge you on every little mistake or deny your accomplishments in game because in their head their is no way you can succeed. This video pokes fun at such people.
