Yup, exactly. Those are the precise steps I took. Its important to get the unusual before you start playing sniper - that way you can not only feel cool but also feel guilty when you dont play sniper with your cool loadout so you force yourself to become a sniper main :)
And extra props to the people who complimented him too. Sometimes I compliment but if they keep on doing it all game I’ll get salty but keep it to myself.
@@euugh8877 uh, no he's still really good up close. instant 150 damage even if you are in his face, and his jarate bushwacka combo does 195 consistently. he is absolutely not shit up close.
@@UsoTeaMor unfun to deal with on turbine and maps that are too open, if these streamers were actually dodging well the shots would’ve be harder, plus its a highlight so its only the times it worked out.
"He was falling down and hit me mid-air" It's called a dropshot bub Also quick note to anyone wondering how he hit the dead rang spy, the critical hit indicator follows you when you dead ringer so a quickscope gives you away
If you are talking about the spy at 2:20 he actually didnt have the critical hit indicator on his head. Reason I meleed him there was because he had gone through that exact same path before, so I just predicted it and hoped for the best, and I managed to time it perfectly :)
sniper players when someone doesnt want to mash every key on their keyboard at calculated intervals while randomly going in circles so they can be at marginally less risk of instantly getting one shot
to all good snipers: please stop using your sniper rifle like that, the huntsman exists, and my ass is tired of being handed over to me on a silver plate
@@severketorskeleton3759 idk this junk isn't so funny when an arrow that visibly missed me headshots me. Hell even if it's a bodyshot 120 is a lot and screwd me over many times
Agreed, people are saying they should nerf the damage but that won’t do anything except nerf sniper into the ground as the most useless class. Especially in comp/highlander. Maybe increasing the quickscope time to like, less than half a second but more than just a couple of milliseconds would do something. It wouldn’t really help sniper duels though..
this is a really bad argument because you have to have a good reaction time and a well disciplined aim and focus. seeing a lot of youtubers playing sniper on tf2 and doing good at it really doesn't mean anything because in reality the majority of players can barely play sniper in the first place. the class gets mastered and is then very overpowered at that point but that goes for any class and then you could make the same argument that soldier or scout is too op because of the movement speeds they can pick up and the amount of damage they can do if they hit all their close range shots.
@@glitchr572 What do you mean? no matter how many hours, soldier and scout have limitations so nobody has any problems with them. sniper is still powerfull in the only situation hes suppose to be weak, doesnt matter how much skill you have, the point of a class is be good or weak in different situations
Ok I’m just gonna give my two cents here since I see a lot of people talking about this recently. Everyone always talks about how the best players prove that sniper is overpowered - but its actually the opposite. If you look at the best 6v6 teams right now, none of them run a sniper full-time, even though they have some of the best players in the world - if sniper is as broken as people say he is when used by the best players, why is this the case? Well its because sniper is immobile and has a lot more counterplay than people think; you can coordinate a bombing soldier and a flanking scout simultaneous (so even if the sniper has godly aim and headshots one of them, the other one will kill them straight after), you can wait to push until you have uber negating the sniper any kills and then rushing him etc... The issue is that in casual people don’t communicate or seem to know how to play against sniper at all, but as someone else said this goes for other classes - this isn’t an issue with sniper its an issue that casual games put people with 4 hours against people with 4000 hours. In casual, peoples movement is a lot more predictable, they might not know the common sniper sightlines, they don’t communicate with other players to take out the sniper etc... In other words, sniper is not really overpowered, he is just strong in a casual setting and perhaps is the class that abuses the lack of knowledge/experience of enemy players the most.
The thing that sets kick and twitch streamers apart is their TOS that practically gives twitch streamers a forced attitude to stay nice or you get booted off a 100k per year salary because you swore 3 times 😭🙏.
The day Sniper gets reverse damage falloff will be a good day. Deleting people in one shot point blank is really stupid, I dont care how hard it is to do.
I have a question, recently I watched lazy purple's video on sniper, there was this part where he claimed that it was better to wait for the enemy to put their heads in their crosshair and that it was kinda bad to ''guess and quickscope'', which is what I do and you seem to do, ofc you seem to have more experience with it but now Im confused, is it really better or is lazy just different, I dont know
Actually, I use "lazypurples technique" like 70% of the time, the only difference is that usually i place the crosshair already very close to their head, so the "waiting until they put their heads on their crosshair" only takes like 0.5 seconds. Essentially, the more practice you get the faster you do this. I only use flicks if either the enemy went in the direction that I didn't expect, or if i meet someone (usually a flanking scout or a spy behind me) thats really close range, in which case i need to do a fast flick and just hope that my muscle memory was good enough to hit the shot.
Fun fact: The delay between scoping in and dealing a headshot is exactly 0.20 seconds. Another fun fact: The human eye can take up to 0.40 seconds to blink.
have you considered that the sniper has to react and move their aim to a specific part of your body? if you think about things in a void like this everything is overpowered
@@itsasecrettoevery1Also, Sniper’s headshot mechanic was detailed in the TF2 developer commentary over 10 years ago. Just because some RU-vidr you cry about said it doesn’t make it any less true.
Sniper is my second main, I think sniper is about as well balanced as all the other classes. But watching 5 minutes of people die from millisecond quickscopes still makes me mad. ggwp and nice vid
@@desko2041 I said "proper", that didn't include trying to melee someone as Sniper while having an extra 20% damage vulnerability or using a weak secondary while a fucking power class is onto you, or relying on a mechanic that you have a 90 percent chance of failing.
i feel like the reason spies whine about the razorback so much is because half of them continue to stab it and stun themselves for absolutely no reason whatsoever (1:18). it's so confusing. entertaining vid though, i always find this stuff entertaining and reminds me to keep my cool and just chill out when i play.
(Assuming you are asking for tips in casual play) One of the best tips that I think a lot of snipers don't do properly is to constantly change position. A lot of snipers stay in the same spot for a long time and whenever they die they go back to that spot. This makes it easy for snipers, spies, bombing soldiers and flanking scouts to kill you. The element of surprise is just as effective on sniper as it is on spy - if you change your position constantly and use uncommon/weird sightlines, you will catch a lot of players walking in a straight line as they dont expect you there. As a general rule, dont stay in the same spot for more than like 30-40 seconds.
@@sizzle3409 When you said the element of surprise works on sniper too yeah that's a really good tip when I play scout and come out of nowhere people don't have the time to react and boom their dead! I will keep this in mind thanks!
@@sizzle3409 Not a good thing to do. Your credibility will drop sharply if you lie to your viewers on a constant basis. My advice is that you stay true to them, that way your channel will grow faster.
I feel like if sniper did a little bit less headshot damage he would be more fun to play as. Why hasnt there ever been a sniper that has less sniper crit dmg? It seems like an idea that would take a lot of skill.
Pro tip against snipers:just don't walk in a straight line or do obviosly jumps, to counter snipers most of the time just need a good movement to break them up.
1:18 sniper mains be like: what do you mean the razorback is a stupid item design that severely cripples a classes most important feature? I think its fine the way it is.
I've seen many people make statements defending sniper but consider this. Sniper can make a sightlines anywhere even in your spawn so when casual players try to play the game it becomes infuriating. I agree a sniper can be countered but depending on the snipers skill how you counter can become a hassle since it could take 4 or more teammates working in unison just to get past the snipers team and get him, even then in a 6v6 setting you shouldn't have to work with your whole team to take out one class, at best just a spy and another sniper to take care of him, but if the sniper has 3,000 hours or more you bet your ass it won't be easy to counter him at all even with a soldier trying to dive bomb him cause he has teammates(the sniper in question). All in all when you look at it sniper needs a nerf one way or another, but I would just prefer maybe making none charged headshots only do 130 damage instead just so medics don't have to deal with a sniper just camping somewhere and bodyshotting the whole game cause that's just stupid
