a fool is someone who always dislike what they don't know as "bad" if you don't know how hitboxes works and how strafing and movements relate to trickstabbing don't call it "facestab"

@@Eleganttf2 The "backstab" hitbox extend 180° from the left to the right (go watch sigsegv video about it). The "back" hitbox for Spy's knife is VISIBLE and TOUCHABLE from the front as long as the Spy is just ever so slightly to the side of the player hence why you can "back"stab from the front (i.e. facestab). You're not "skilled", you don't "strafe and trickstab". You're abusing a brokenly OP hitbox. The game is just practically baby-feeding you to kill. Not even the back hitbox from the Back Burner is that huge. "Back"stabs rely on a stupidly large hitbox. You. Are. Not. Skilled. The game is GIVING YOU the kill.

@@Eleganttf2 Actual players =/= bots The bots IA know about the size of the backstab hitbox, hence why they will always track the spy while standing PERFECTLY facing him. This is not possible for HUMANS, tho. It's impossible to be completly facing a Spy as we don't have the instant reaction time/tracking of the game's IA. And that's without even mentioning outside distractions that bots will complety ignore. Get over it, kid. The game is feeding you kills. Backstabs are the most stupid, unfair, broken and OP mechanics of the game right after Random Crits. At least, headshot damage can be reduced or even fully ignored with the Battalion Backup. But backstabs ? Oh no, boy, nothing. Litreally NOTHING can reduce damage. Once the knife find the TINIEST window of the "back" hitbox, you're dead (because, yes, on top of that, the Knifes are the only melee to not have windup before the actual hit). Back to respawn, because FaIr AnD BaLaNcEd. You. Are. Not. Skilled. Get over yourself. After all I saw/learned about how backstabs operate, it's impossible to convice me that it is a skill-requiring mechanics, outside of getting close to the target, but you got watches (DR) and disguises for that.

The Kunai needs a nerf. The max overheal needs bringing down to 175 and you should gain only 50% of the health you would normally if un-disguised. Problem solved.

How to counter A Spy Stop Trying To kill Them with Melee

Or actually learn how to fight em, move left and right erratically looking straight at them confuse them and then use the classic meele strategy (wait for them to fail an attack then counter it and as they fall back go for another one) for example be like that medic in 1:41, just be aware of their tricks for example if you see a spy going around a corner well just go for the most open side and wait for them to fail the matter door or if you are in the low ground and he's about to get you, first crouch and then strafe to the left o right even back up, there is a reason why spy is the weakest class, just be aware of em and they will never get you

You can even play mind games and tricking them into falling to your trap (this example is on hightower) well there was this spy that was genuinely good and had stabbed me a couple times (I was a trolldier) so he was committed to chase me down and I just jump up, bhop and garden him making him think he got me

At least two of these clips showed a Spy stabbing a Razorback then proceeding on to kill the Sniper and half their team. The Razorback is barely even an inconvenience for a good spy.

When I play spy, either: -a Pyro fkin one shots me with the flare -a scout magically knows EXACTLY where I am despite being invisible -some convenient crits -the server didn't even register that as a back stab -enemy spy out of nowhere -casually being headshot by an enemy sniper/amBASSador spy -getting 2 shot by a soldier/demo -sniper w/jarate + bushwacka -w m1'd

Things that discourage me from playing spy: 1. Engie being my secondary main 2. Nobody falls for my disguise 3. Ambassador nerf (before the nerf I could actually be decent with spy) 4. Spies have a hard time capping 5. Medics and engineers are more important than spies

He is, you just have to be aware of hist tricks and he becomes completely useless and these clips are just from pubs with people with less than 1000 hours (just my guess) look at the medic on 1:41 and how he renders the spy completely useless just by using basic knowledge of the game Tha pyro that appears next just brain deadly runs to the closed side of a corner where an expirienced player would go the open way to see this spy miserably fail and just dead ringer away... You just need gamesense

Not to mention what can be considered a crutch loadout with the Kunai and Dead Ringer. The Spy is supposed to be a stealthy class and sneak around without being detected, not constantly tank damage and have a 'get out of jail free' card.

Just because someone is good at something and is able to kill 15 enemies in a row doesnt mean that the weapon or the loadout is broken or overpowered, it just means the player is good. And those arent facestabs, those are broken replays+the enemy lagging, if it says its a backstab that means that at one point he was behind him you just cant see it because od the lag

@Adelino Junior At the start the spy has 70 hp, that means that every weapon can pretty much 1 shot him, and if he just stabbed somebody and has 200hp its like fighting a soldier that can only use meele and has a weak primary, and the dead ringer is painfully obvious to spot and is nowhere near as good as it used to be and it is very easy to track down and kill a dead ringer spy

what settings do these guys use to not have hitreg issues or lag? I have a good pc, however it still seems that when i shoot or get backstabs, they dont register hitting, despite crosshair being lined up at moment of mouse press. I know it's not just that im missing either, Im a really good Mccree in Overwatch, but I miss simple shots in tf2. I know theres some kind of commands you can enter into the console to fix this, but idk which ones.

678_hero do you know about how dumb source hit boxes are? No matter what you or the enemy see. It doesn’t matter. If the server sees a backstab, it sees a backstab

its not interp or bad internet, you just dont know how backstab hitboxes work. The game sees that the medic is turning quickly to the left and so it overpredicts the turn, opening up the medics side, its not dumb, you are just uneducated.

Nerf dead ringer since pyro got nerfed so bad tf2getting deader with broken classes and abuses makes the game hardly fun since its just spawncamping,tryharding for once just fix the damn deadringer so its not abused
