@@nurhid5742 Tacobot.tf hates a weapon that makes it easier to win because it "trivializes MvM" when they've made a career out of collecting australium items. Also, they'll put people on a kicklist for using it, talking back, overall not confroming to every MvM norm except gas passer, and will also put you on it for getting the golden frying pan because they're insecure little shits who can't understand that in trying to "remove toxicity from MvM", they are the major cause of said toxicity.

toxicity bad obv but there's satisfaction in doing things really well. problem is that while clearing out a horde with good teamwork and game sense is fun, clearing out a horde with the 'kill every single non-giant' button leaves you with a distinct feeling of emptiness
@@budgetcommander4849 How is that different than explosive headshots, which is also a kill every non giant in an area, just slightly slower? Or any of the other upgrades that do similar things? Gas passer is just a better version, and its not like MvM is so hard that doing things really well and just well is actually noticeable.
the problem is that the weapon being so good makes new players pick pyro, which leads to them walking into danger expecting the gas passer to save them, then dying. and they top damage anyways. it's pretty stupid. obviously i have no problem with better players using it, but it makes it impossible for new players to learn.
@@danielchen1047Explosive Headshot still requires the player to, you know, actually be good at Sniper. Otherwise, it's just 1200 credits of nothing. What does a Pyro using the Gas Passer have to learn in order to abuse it? Nothing.
Fun fact: dr bright isn't allowed to use scp 914 to make tf2 weapon, even know a medigun would be useful (this apply to any other videogames item. Also, we confiscated your diamond pickaxe )
Especially after he caused the army of huntsman snipers that one time, or played trolldier in MvM (albeit solely with his friends and disclaiming people not to). Yeah tacobot doesn't like the funny guy with the meme spoon very much.
@@guscox9651 They changed it so that the meter wasn't refilled by the damage done via the overpowered upgrade. It's still super powerful and effective, though.
I feel like that explosion thing should be a regular for the gas passer instead of enflaming enemies & a lingering effect. But instead of dealing 250 DMG, it does only 125 DMG.
@@lorenzpacis3249 I'd argue even that's too much. That's a one-shot on four out of nine classes. Might be better to do the explosion as a percentage of total health or something
I have to thank soundsmith for showing me how powerful the gas passer can be, especially when combined with the Dragons Fury, in MvM. I probably would've found out myself in time, but still... many thanks!
for the record, they patched the explosion damage counting towards recharge. It's still ridiculously powerful though, you just have to be slightly more judicious with when you decide to deploy it
