I love how even in the Source 2 remake of TF2 the melee impacts on surfaces still leave bullet holes. These people truly know what is at the soul of the TF2 style.
ru-vid.com/show-UCviLCMBsvmmrW9Ha502aE7w this guy is remaking meet the soldier in source 2 you can watch the sneek peak here (not a rickroll i swear) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G6moTojaFAg.html
Im honestly really excited for this. Ive been a fan of this game for a reasonable amount of time and they havent had updates for so long. This makes me really happy. The game looks amazing.
i really badly hope valve does something. imagine a tf2 source 2 without bots but keeping the economy and such, but maybe keep it paid so it makes money and to keep bots out yknow?
@@shoeofobama6091 the thought of not even having bots alone already makes me really happy. If they made the source 2 a reality, tf2 is gonna have a huge comeback
@@adispenser I dont mind paying tbh. Its a great game and its honestly worth the money. I mean we all can agree tho. We love the game so much. Its been dog years and all of us are still playing it. That itself shows the game is golden. A reasonable price wont matter.
Nope. Moonly has stated he wants to stay independent and accepting payment from valve would also be a conflict of interest since he’s also the leader of Creators tf.
well s&box uses c# and programming for source 2 i presume is c++ so it would ether be rewriten for a standalone game or stay in s&box (or use s&box's c# layer but sadly i doubt valve will care about this project)
Many of the tf2 players hv really bad pcs so if they do that I don't think many low end pcs would be able to run it Unless the bring a performance mode like most of the new games
At this point, the dev team is the toddler who doesn't want to keep walking further on a hike, and the parents dragging them along are the community saying "F this, I'll drag both of us forward.".
The funny thing about this is when I look at it without a comparison, I don't see anything different, because my nostalgia for TF2 makes the game look better in my memories. That's how you know a game is good, ladies and gents.
omg yes! tf2 in source 2 seems super awesome, will definitely check this project out tho, an unrelated tip about the audio: when recording the voice track for your video, you should apply a high-pass filter at ~100-150hz since there's quite a bit of bass coming from the s sounds
There's also a Unity tf2 project that someone called DJTHED Games is working on, but he's using it for learning how to use unity and it doesn't have a lot of people on it
Wonder how long it takes the devs to either fade into obscurity or have a massive argument with each other, as per "TF2 but BETTER" projects' tradition.
It would be nice if valve decides to allow users to render original tf2 in source 2 so that people who can't play in source 2 and people who can , play together
I wish this project was backed by Valved themselves. I'm able to run RDR2 on max settings (1440p) at 60+fps, yet my frames dip HARD in TF2. My PC should crush TF2 with basically zero effort.
i already know its gonna suck, if it gets finished that is. most people who do this sort of thing dont realize the undertaking theyre putting on themselves and loose interest
Keep in mind, this project doesn't aim to remake the entirety of tf2 in s&box. It will bring the base tf2 game, the classes, weapons etc. along with a few gamemodes/maps, so it's up to the community to expand on it if we want this to be a replacement of tf2
Honestly Valve should make this official and send them the current build of TF2 for them to work with. Although they shouldn't make that public until it's actually ready or ready enough, in case complications pops up and to keep expectations (and pressure) low.
I'm not too hyped about tf:s2. Their maps weights for about 115 gigs because the lighting is premade, weapons have different physics because of a new engine, as some of props. I believe if this project survives to open beta, it will make many nerfs to deal with performance issues (like TF2 from 2007)
They can't do anything about it at the moment, they're trying to find a way to get custom shaders working. So until then, the project will have that source 2 realistic lighting style.
I'm just wondering about if and how they could port all items and cosmetics that you unlocked in TF2 to TFS2- bc I don't think it'd be fun having to start my items over from scratch
Now we need Left 4 Dead 2 given the source 2 treatment especially when the original engine is still x86. Also add AI commands, weapon look customization, more random weapon types, aim down sights, and VR mode (like Payday 2)
I actually would like to see flamethrower particles not clip thru stuff ... like... in this presentation you see some if the textures cliping thru the stairs ...
Remember guys valve the multi billion dollar company hasnt made a singleplayer game in 10 years and didnt finish the series that made them rich also they made l4d completely worthless by just putting everything from that game into l4d2 and you are wondering why they dont update this game? Because they dont care they are already rich Edit: they didnt make a single player game in 10 years that isnt vr but since a lot of people dont have the headsets i didnt count it sry
He’s amazing. Him and Nano ( along with everyone else on the Creators team) have really worked their butts off for Creators tf getting things like custom MVM and working. Can’t wait to see what else they do in the future!!
