Megascatterbomb managed to get a database of them, a major host got arrested, and another got bored and left. The bot users are desperate to ruin the entire game since people have been taking actions against them, passively and aggressively. Keep it up.
@@ReshyShiraIt can be both a potential advertisement but also as a way to direct casual players who don’t know what’s going on to harass MSB’s Discord too 😅
@@Kaiserboo1871 yeah i hate to say it but even in League you get some Chinese scripters selling their scripts or Chinese boosters selling their boosting service.
You know what an actual fun bot fight that isn't mvm is? Uncletopias 1000 engie servers those are gaddamn fun and can help with sniper aiming skills too
I know tf2 doesnt change much but man it must have been a WHILE since muselk booted up this game if he thinks the danger shield will save him from bullets
Glad to see you back from your long tf2 break, too bad that tf2 has been overrun by bots for a few years now, us tf2 players have to keep retaliating against them, but most people play casual anyways apart from the newest players. Hope to see more tf2 content soon, love your stuff.
That's a double-edged sword: with blured nicknames other players wouldn't be able to learn the "nicknames to immediately votekick", especially - if the names sometimes change. Same logic (to a lesser extent) applies to links: sometimes it is possible to report hacker to the service that hosts hacker's landing page/channel/server for wannabe-cheaters and get it deleted.
You know what's beautiful? Playing on Spineyard and watching the mobster skeletons execute the bots as they stand there and do nothing! Also on zombie mode when there the zombies and if you don't have your melee out they just stand around and do nothing because they can't attack you. And to be honest I only had problems with bots at the beginning and at the end of scream fortress this year with 90% of my games being bot free
Come. On. Valve... After how many years in development; inserting meme, etc etc.... Valve please... I can't keep hoping any more when there's nothing to hope for Love you Muselk, happy to see you always play
unless you live in SEA then it hopeless the number of casual comunity server is abyssmal and either always full or don't have anyone at all even casual macth making take som time to find a room
most of the community servers are garbage. toxic admins, laggy severs, paywalled features, bloated downloads, etc. plus they're all hosted by like the same 3 websites
It most definitely is not fixed. Some regions might have less, but even inn USA servers I've run into them multiple times today. Fortunately people are usually good at kicking them so they don't get enough vetoes to take over a server
In Europe it happens but only on Harvest and its not that bad. We get rid of them pretty fast and the other 99% of maps I play on never ever have bots.
Hackers deserve their human rights to be revoked. I don’t care, because neither do they. I feel so bad for Muselk for having to suffer through this shitshow.
There needs to be an unusual sniper rifle skin that is a World War 2 Fighter theme with every sniper/or bot you kill without dying adds a tally mark to the body of the rifle like Aces did when they count their kills.
By fine-tuning your map selection (and also playing on USA servers) you can limit hacker [these are BOTs not hackers btw, there's 0 human input beyond starting a script] lobbies to around 1/5 games. It's been a lot more manageable this Halloween.
I wish you would post this on your main page so it could potentially get more views to really help get this problem out there. Absolutely love seeing you back and loving the game again!
The funny thing is, in the new Zombie mode they barely even do anything. A zpmbie heavy can just walk up and kill them, and a zombie hacker sniper doesnt know how to spit. Still gotta kick them or theyll take over though.
And preferably before the blu team becomes mostly bots. You kinda just have to wait out the wave if that happens and try and kick them immediately when the next round starts lest they go on a rampage immediately kicking whatever poor souls see themselves getting moved to the opposing team.
I appreciate you still railing on Valve for this. What they've done to this game is disgusting-hearing from a RU-vidr who hasn't forgotten that is a welcome dose of sanity.
I swear, by now the bots are just a minor inconvenience. The main problem are human cheaters that don't get kicked because the majority of players can't identify them or refuse to listen to the other team
I went into suijin server and saw the same thing, full of bots from both teams standing on the point. Degroot keep and mannpower are my sanctuaries from this menace.
im still amazed he never thinks to just get rid of all those smg's, they might not be worth much but i imagne he could still get some better items for them
Thank you for making this video Muselk I've been frustrated with Australian Mid-day TF2 casual lobbies for the last 2+ weeks I want to do my halloween contracts, but cant The only playable time is weekened days now. There seems to be no real discussion about this that I could find I went to a bunch of community forums and no-one seems to care much the way it is I guess
And this is after the massive "ban" (It forced every account to have some sort of verification and so on, used to know more about it but have since forgotten the specifics) wave that capped some of the bot crisis. There was also an arrest and some hosts just not doing the verification, etc. SO this is post major bot crisis tf2, unfortunately you can see how much that ban wave did overall. However its much much better than it was during that recent dark time. Megascatterbomb sadly being a newer host should also be mentioned.
Poor Muscle K. He's trying so hard to get back into TF2 and Valve's sheer laziness, ineptitude, and greed is just out of control. Makes me feel bad for him.
I quit TF2 and sold off my backpack a long ass time ago because of these hackers. Part of me had considered starting over, but this video has convinced me I made the right decision.
@@shawnwilson8289 Yeah I think I spent close to 2 grand over the course of my 7 year career (I made back 3 when I sold my backpack, so I came out in the green) and it just, broke my heart that as time went on, Valve pulled out more and more and I couldn't do anything to stop the bots. I loved this game so much and it hurts to see it in such a sad state.
i saw it happen, one second i was enjoying a spooky game and the second i just saw 5 bot snipers wandering around killing eachother and stuff, it scared me how they would always appear
I saw megascatterbomb in an uncletopia server once. He was a really chill guy and it was good to see the abuse from the hackers wasn't getting to him too badly. I'm happy to see people like him who have the knowledge, resources, and will to help out our community.
I imagine its as simple as removing or autobanning some mechanism in the code that only bots would really make use of. I know theres SOMETHING like that somewhere.
@@victor-hw7gv that's what bot hosters MAKE you think. The first major botwaves had fatmagic bots after people started making fake allegations against him. Same with other tf2bers or influencers
So far, they are still not to bad compared the programming they had in 2020. The best form of killing them now is through vac medics, soldier and demo combos and engineers, (sniper with machina in a very specific situation). Avoid them at close range, keep at mid range where they get stuck in a state choosing to pull their knife out or their rifle, preventing charged shots. Have at least 4 to 5 engies to circle a perimeter and have them close to each other. (preferable 2 at spawn). Demoman can be used to launch at a point (quickie launcher can be used to launch at point from other side of map bc they don't shoot stickies anymore). Battalions backup is crucial in case you run out of vac ubers and you need to push, and works even better paired with the buff banner if used at same time. Coordination no matter how bad the bots can be are the key to murdering them, Valve may be neglecting us but that doesn't mean we don't have the tools to deal with the scumbags. They feel much worse to deal with now bc most people still after 3 years of bots do not know how to keep track of a vote, call one or even check who is getting voted. In reality tho they don't have the same programming, and have from my experiences and observations anyway, downgraded, they used to shoot stickies and travel more in groups, making them harder to kill, most now roam separate trying to catch people off guard but a good coordinated team can handle it well. Most can't even instant headshot as often as they used to, and only some bots votekick others instead of all, they also list constant disconnect and reconnects before they actually enter the match, giving considerable time for both teams to prepare, and to either kick them, leave, or sit it out, or outright make them easier than an actual advanced mvm match. tldr: coordination, communication, and proper weapon loadouts are key to victory.
or here me out on this, we dont let up on savetf2 and keep pushing until all the bots are gone. instead of being satisfied with the band-aid fix valve gave us.
Something I usually do is (depending on the map) putting a sentry in a choke point, spam stickies while hidden... or Bonk and run at them to perform the Home Run taunt :)
Ive found lately the time of day matters a lot when it comes to the bot experience. Playing in the morning or afternoon the servers are over run and impossible to play. Playing at night though its a totally different experience. Pretty much bot free, no need for any kick votes at all. I think the problem is there are so many maps people are spread out across a lot of servers. With more people playing at night we are able to handle them better. Just wish Valve didnt leave it up to us to deal with them.
I had a game with 7 snipers yesterday. All players, all of them bad, none of them huntsman. The beauty of the Sniper hivemind, portrayed by human vs the hellspore of a bot collection
Problem is they're starting to crash the servers if you try to kick them. Some are crashing the game of everyone in the server, then you re-join and they're still there. If you find one of those you're better off stop searching for that Halloween map for the day.
