Tell me that's an 8 ball.. That was one of the coolest things ive ever seen! This info is great.. Did it work?.. I just had my th350 rebuilt at a shop out ofbthe box it ratcheted in park.. I choose to do a carry out. And install it myself... Im a bit worried they may not fix it for free because I did that and now I'll be stuck doing some sort of repair.. So I'm looking for some knowledge on what's up and what it could be..fingers crossed thanks for the tip
Yep.... The 8 ball is a prosthetic. The park held good for a little while, but then quickly degraded. There might just be too much wear to the pawl itself or the gears that it engages in to. I am going to tear it down again soon as I want to swap out the 1st gear planetary for a lower ratio. We will see then if I can identify the problem.
