You bravely went there, love the feedback! On Black Friday I was buying LS7 heads for a few hundred a piece. Same deal as always with Speedmaster, you need to finish things or ID what messed up choice they made. You are a handy guy in your shop, I think of you every time I use your tools, Thank You!
Thanks for the info. Nice score on the aluminum drum. I bought one of your th400 tool sets, and they work great. I especially like the pressure regulator compressor. Makes that job so much easier!
nice show dave i always wondered about these cases i was wondering do you have any more of those lifting brackets and if so how much would you want plus shipping to 4211 gaven area queensland australia thanks nick
What race is used for the 36 element sprag is it a 4r100? Do I have to make a sleeve for the drum to fit the 36 element sprag? I do have a mill and a lathe so hopefully could make something.
@@davesperformance88 so I’m not sure on what race. I use the stock one for 4l80 and use a 34 element sprag. I haven’t used the pro mod one yet. When I do I’ll see what is all need to piece one together if possible.
@@davesperformance88 I’m kinda confused on what we’re working on. Th400. So they have a pro mod drum that’s 36 element sprag and uses like c4 clutches or something. It takes like 5 of them. You also can use a smooth th400 drum and machine the outer step.040 down and run a 34 element sprag and 4l80 direct drum outer race and use 4l80 clutch pack and pressure plate and get 4 clutches. A lot rubbish the Speedmaster stuff. Yes ,some of it does need a little work. But they are definitely filling a hole in the market for some parts that just are not available elsewhere, particularly some of the ford stuff
Well that and they really make it a little more affordable for the people just getting in to the auto racing. Sure they take a little work but most of us have more time than money.
