I found him in the mid 80's and have learned several of his songs while riding through France on my bicycle listening to him on my Walkman. Singing the songs out loud until I got them right. Must have been funny for any bystanders as I rolled by. XD

Je suis né un peu trop tard pour avoir connu cette époque, mais je trouve excellente cette musique celtique avec la petite touche rock des 70's apporté par les guitares. Merci
J'ai 17 ans donc je dirait que j'était né beaucoup trop tard mais c'est bon que j'ai le plaisir de l'entendre. Je suis anglophone mais après j'améliore m'a français et Punjabi je veut apprendre Breton.
Idem pour moi et a 66 ans ma guitare ne dort jamais. Remarquez aussi la présence de Yakoub a la guitare , qui fut la voix de Malicorne......ces années 70.....un régal entre bals folk et Pink Floyd '' echoes '' ......que la vie était belle et les filles magnifiques .

@@Cartamanduasuepem It's in Scots Gaelic. I've been learning Irish for 5 years and the words are very similar. Ive been a Stivell fan since 1972 and have looked up the lyrics for a lot of his songs.
That is from just about the time I first heard him on the CBC out of Windsor Ontario. I was returning to Royal Oak, Michigan when this fellow played a record that he said he had picked up in a grocery store.

I'm even not really sure if this is at the Olympia, because this version is a different one than the one on the live record! Maybe someday...
Pourquoi ne trouve t-on que ce morceaux du concert de l'Olympia en 72 ? J'imagine que tout le concert a dû être filmé pourtant ! J'aurais aimé voir Pop plin, Suite sudarmoricaine, et quelques autres morceaux joués ce soir là !
Curieusement le concert de lOlympia n'a pas ete filme. Par contre il y a eu ce concert en public qui est passe a la TV. Je me souviens l'avoir regarde a l'epoque,et il y avait pas mal de morceaux, dont Tri Mertolod et la Suite Sud-Armoricaine. Je ne me souviens pas de beaucoup de concerts d'Alan a la TV. Des interventions occasionnelles chez Jacques Martin, Albert Raisner ou Jacques Chancel, une interview par Philippe Manoeuvre, Ee une emission en 75 ou Alan etait interviewe d'une maniere un peu agressive par Michel Lancelot, et ou l'on voyait des extraits d;un concert public, Alan a une page perso sur Internet, pou vous trouverez des tas d'informations, ainsi que des discussions et debats sur ce qui touche a la musique celtique, la culture bretonne, les concerts, et aussi parfois des opinions du Maestro sur tel ou tel evenement. There is a similar live version on the album "ar pep gwellan - best of" on spotify. İt's not exactly the same as the one from the video. But sadly, it also has the horrendous, loud, annyoing applause at the beginning which disrupts every playlist. There is also a newer version of the song, but personally, I like the 70s versions A LOT more. This song is an instant favourite! 🌺
