I saw a news article about a Thai football coach was refusing to comply with security checks, or something along those lines. To this day, I'm still not so sure what was the actual cause for it 😅
i have no idea. but I saw a news article something about a Thai football coach didn't co-operate during the security screening. Maybe that could be a contribution to the long waits. But also 2022 was the travel hype year around Europe, so many airports were understaffed as well.
I took this flight last year, and there were signs put up that masks were still a requirement for Thai airways. Staff at the airport even made sure you had one. But when onboard, the staff didn't enforce you to put it on. After meal service a lot of people didn't put their masks back on for the rest of the flight, including me.
Did they allow you go over 2kg extra? How heavy was your checked bag. I am sure there were lots of bags at the baggage claim from this flight since it was a 777
the SAS staff told me the carry-on allowance is 7kg, but they could only allow no more than 8kg. My suitcase was 16kg 😂, I had to offload a lot of stuff and wear a lot of my clothing. For my checked baggage, I think I recall it being around 22kg. I reckon the staff was more focused on my super heavy carry-on lol. I do recall the SAS staff telling me that if I wanted to buy the extra 10kg allowance would cost around 10,000 baht.
@@justaflyer this is a trick I always use. Before checking in, you should ask the counter if its a full flight so they could possibly check in your carry on for free. But lots of asian carriers dont offer such service.
