Flew Thai last month and was very impressed with them. Airline staff were attentive (better than I found SIA to be). Had better food in business class and more modern seats with other airlines but that is no way a criticism of Thai as their food was great and cabin clean and comfortable. To fly out of BKK with them was a delight with the dedicated immigration and security area for Thai Silk travellers - would not hesitate to fly with them again

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I fully agree with your comments. I found the Staff on TG to be particularly attentive. Much better than SQ. Not sure which city you flew out of but I am convinced that catering can be more about the dominant airport caterer than the specific airline . I accept that it’s also an issue of what budget the airline allocates to each meal. generally, I feel out of the home-base The meals are better. Is that being your experience?

@@ewanwilson2315 I flew out of Melbourne and Bangkok. The meals were great and no complaints at all, just that I found SQ meals better, but not to such a standard that I would rush back to SQ over Thai. Also found the AirNZ lounge that you use at Mel for Thai so much better than the SQ one and the Thai lounge at BKK though not as extensive in food options as the SQ in Changi was so more quiet that it was preferable to me. Keep up the great videos. 👍

Appreciate you Coming back to me with the details and insights. It all makes sense. I really like the Air New Zealand lounge in Melbourne. I prefer it over their Auckland lounge which I find very busy and congested. Thanks for following the channel. Travel safe

Excellent clip Ewan. Monique reminds me of Suzanne Paul, but in the nicest possible way. I recall flying domestically with Thai, Chiang Rai - BKK on my first ATR, back in the 80's. I hope they return to NZ

Really nice review Ewan! A350 is one of my favorite aircrafts (after A380 and 747). Have 3 flights with A350 coming soon, unfortunately not in business class though.

@@ewanwilson2315 Great, had a quick glimpse and going to watch it later today! The flights will be on Cathay Pacific FRA-HKG and HKG-BKK on 350-900 and back on 350-1000 HKG-ZRH

As a customer flying over many years between Bangkok and Perth, Australia ( direct flight hence convenience ) I will not recommend Thai business class at all. Variable service, average meals and beverage options and an atrocious entertainment system. They feed you as soon as possible after take-off then the lights are dimmed often while people are still eating and there is then no service until close to your destination when the lights are turned back on and staff emerge from whatever they have been doing. Trust me punters there are far better business class options available.

Thanks, Geoff for your insights and for sharing your experience. Are they operating the A350 on that route?
