There have been couples that have queerbaited or did fanservice that was close to couple activities, but I haven’t seen any going to lengths to “pretend” to be a couple for years and spending every moment together just to reel in fans. ZeeNuNew is clearly doing fan service. How I know this for a fact is they do a lot of intense PDA in public, in Thailand. In Thailand that’s a big no-no, doing PDA (beyond hand holding or a quick hug maybe a sniff kiss) with your significant other is just not done. As someone who knows actual gay and straight Thai couples, I have never seen them do that level of PDA in public that any bl couple does in Thailand. If you see a Thai couple hugging for prolong amount of time, cuddling in public, kissing even on the cheek (not a sniff kiss), sexy dancing on one another…you can be almost guaranteed that they are putting on a show. Also if Thai people around the couple aren’t visibly upset in seeing this PDA then they know they are watching a show. Western audience just culturally don’t fully understand fan service or Thai culture. My Thai friends understand that this is a service for us the fans. I don’t doubt their great affection for one another or that they put that genuine affection into their fan service, but it is fan service. I personally love watching fan service, but I’m very aware what it is. Don’t believe me? Go and read the comments of Thai bl fans. They will gush about how they enjoy the couple or watching their affection for one another. However you will never see the intense craziness around arguing whether or not they are a real couple or lgbtqia like you see amongst western fans. I wish westerners would just enjoy the fan service and enjoy attractive guys showing affection for one another. If someone has not stated clearly that they are a part of the LGBTQIA community do not put them on any list especially if the only indication of them being gay is when they were on the clock and being paid.

Even if you don’t think Zee and NuNew are not dating….that does not mean you can Warsaw their sexuality. Zee has spoken multiple times about the fact that sexuality is fluid and he likes both men and women. NuNew has said he falls in love with people. 😊

They bullied him, even, by mocking around and throwing away his belongings once, and Title said publicly in an interview "if you can make Earth drool, it means is sexy" while Perth was doing (by mc's request) a sexy dance, impliying Earth's sexuality. After all of that went public and Earth had to get out of the closet, just two of his partners apologies to him (at least, publicly): Perth and Plann. Earth forgave them all, anyways. He's a much better person than i am.

First thank you for this video! I love seeing real LGBTQ members successfully taking up space and be successful in their careers. It's refreshing to see a video that's not full of shipping stuff. Feeling late to this comment section, but I'd like to pose something to ponder to some ppl in the comments. For couples like Nunew/Zee and Yoon/Ton, who have both confirmed their relationship multiple times and stated their preferences and keep being doubted- even with a situation like MewGulf happening in the past, why should we doubt what is coming out of the actors' mouths? If they've openly stated their relationship or sexuality/preferences, I would rather believe wrongly than deny a queer couple or person's right to exist in the public eye/space. To deny their truth and the right for them to exist and love openly because we as fans have been fooled before feels wrong and lowkey spiteful. It must be hurtful to admit and live openly inspite of the adversity and knowing the vulnerability it takes and then see the people on the internet continually deny your truth. At the end of the day, if it was a lie, that problem lies with them and their heart- and not with people/fans who were healthily supportive of them. I think the real problem lies with shippers who take these fictional relationships to the extreme and fetishize these people to point that this line of work almost seems not worth it whether ur gay or straight or whatever. I'm not saying to not logically doubt some of what we see or to believe blindly. But to consume consciously and be aware that these are real people and relationships that we are projecting and casting doubt on, and that can hurt real life people who already in vulnerable positions. Be mindful is all.
