There was so much food to choose from at Silom Soi 20 in Bangkok. I'm still thinking about that chicken and rice :-D

Traditionally, Thai people can eat everything on breakfast and we can eat what you call breakfast dishes on any meal in the day. We just don't strictly choose which dish goes on breakfast, lunch or dinner. But nowadays western culture is taking over in Thailand. So many Thai people start to "judge" which goes for breakfast, which is not suitable for lunch or which is going on dinner table only. 😜 Like that bowl of noodle soup. We all eat that kind of noodle soup anytime; breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon break, dinner, a bit late dinner, a really late dinner.

We, Bengals can eat rice 24/7 unlike most part of India. Yes we separate breakfast from other meals but when it comes to rice there's no definite meal time :D The biriyani looks lot like Khichuri in our region, it's yellow because of turmeric which is used very little in standard biriyani but main difference is we mix pulses or daal in it which is like my favorite breakfast dish with omelette, egg curry or chicken curry! Goes well with fried Hilsha fish as well!

Vandana Rasamalla It was introduced to Thailand more than a century ago by muslim trader. It's been midified and changed to this distinctive dish which give a different experience from the original biryani.

The last dessert that you had. I usually eat only banana (that lil sour and sweet) and left the rest of coconut milk because it's too sweet lol I have never seen someone drink it 😂 Most of Thai dessert (if it came with coconut milk like that i won't eat it) Anyway, Traditional thai desserts are base on coconut milk and sugar and beware of yellow eggy ball because they are all sweet. (If you don't like sweet)
@renorzeta
@renorzeta 7 лет назад
Yellow Eggy ball actually base on Portuguese dessert mostly made of Eggs yolk deep fried in hot sugar . the last part is something i like but only around south part of Thailand which is less sweet but bit more salty . but honestly i won't eat all of the coconut milk either but only if i put some Ice cubes in it reduce it's richness .

Actually not just dessert that we need to watch out for balance some food mainly Chinese-based dish like Palo "พะโล้" or Khao Moo Deang "ข้าวหมูแดง" Rice with Red bbq pork end up as super sweet due to fail receipt imitation or chef overly fond of sweetness so a little research will help food seeker a lot shop that packed during lunch time are normally good to go as well

This shop is a branch shop not the main shop so that why she sold out so quickly. Just 3 hours and all Brioni rice in the gigantic pot is all gone. U r very lucky man.

looking at the dishes and how they are served...the fried pork skin, roasted dried chilli, and the noodles i am amazed at how our culture and taste seemed soo similar...i am from Mizoram which is in the north east part of India, and i see so many similar or slightly similar dishes that we have here and how we like to eat...the people here in Mizoram are more alike in taste, looks, habit etc with chinese, vietnamese, thai, etc than our fellow Indians...that may be becoz our tribe when they got to India they migrated from China becoz of war and famine and we have settled here for more than 100 yrs now...its amaxing to see soo many similarities between our cultures with that of china, japan, thailand, vietnam, etc with these kinds of travel videos..

A breakfast can be anything and a dinner can be anything. i can have 3 whole pizza in the morning and that can be called my breakfast while i can have egg and toast at night which will be dinner.All this breakfast food classification is just what the western world created.Anything can be eaten at anytime whenever you desire.

moo ping and sticky rice is literally what i grew up eating. i would buy some on the way to school and id eat as I walk omg urghhh and if i got up and out of the house earlier than usual my whole family would go eat jok together at the market near our house, with a side of moo ping still because I cant live without that. ALSO vinegar totally goes well in congee! i always put chili vinegar in my congee

That biryani in our country is a traditional and most common dish and comes in many different awesome flavours and with whatever meat you want but chicken and beef are most preferred meat used for this dish. I love biryanis alotttt 💜💜💜 everyone (majority) in my country does. 💕

In Israel we are used to eat a light dairy based breakfast, with cheese, eggs/omelette and salads, bread, but without meat (maybe because meat feels heavy and also it's not Kosher to mix milk and meat) and without rice/pasta or other "heavy" carbs.

The y-shaped donuts are patango and they go really good with sweetened condensed milk. For breakfast, I also like kanom krok. You can find them at most street vending areas in the morning. Thanks for sharing!

Pork noodle soup has light broth. You should try nam tok noodle soup, those broth are thicker and very flavorful. kao mok gai is really easy to make at home especially if you have a rice cooker.
