I'm glad you reacted with confusion for some of them. I really feel that a big part of the humor is just non-sequiturs at times, and it doesn't always connect with me as well.

At 8.26 Those weird people (expect the family) represent Thai ghosts. The advertise shows that if it is bright (because using Sylvenia lamps and light bulbs) even ghosts are not scary.

These ads are very old. When I was younger and watched these ads on TV I used to think most of them were funny. But when I'm getting older, have a more educated mind and watch them again, I would say that some of these ads are wrong or controversial (in terms of gender, appearance, idea, etc.). That is why it's been banned or taken down at some point. Nowadays, Thai commercial creators are more aware of these sensitive stuff.

About the noodle, Thai people mostly hate the swelling noodle because we prefer the soft and chewy one the most. In the smiling lady advert, It tries to tell that Thailand makes much money from tourist industry under the motto Thailand, the land of smile. But you don't need to smile that much to help Thailand gain money. Just save energy or something, it's too short and I didn't concentrate in watching it.

The meaning of the adds about thai ghost is ,if there is the light nothing can scared you.

The first one they didn't mean to be racist or something. Because most Thai people have quite dark skin and shamelessly, they think ones with brighter skin will have more advantages and opportunities such as getting good job more easily, having handsome boyfriend etc. Because dark skin in Thailand comes from working hard under the sun. Brighter means you are rich and live in good environment. It's an old fashioned value. Sorry for that if it's disturbing. The one with wooden board, it is a joke in Thailand comparing a girl with flat chest with the wooden board or wash board.
