Hi Ellis! At 25:39...I was at that exact coastal viewpoint in April 2023!! I hope you make it to my mum's hometown province of Rayong. FYI...fresh coconuts are $12 USD or 400 Baht each in Hawaii! In Thailand, they are less than $1 USD or 30 Baht.

Squid eggs actually are ovary and testis of squid. And leesha is right, you have to grill and grind it because it’s so tough. Thais have their own liking so there’re code for tell to seller like บด(bod) ปิ้ง(ping) = (grind grill), บด ปิ้ง บด ปิ้ง (grind grill grind grill) for make it more crispy.
Fantastic hospitality 👌🏼 Chanthaburi is a beautiful city 🇹🇭 I particularly like the streets in the evening which have the food vendors you took us to but didn’t show in your videos. The waterfalls where indeed a great place to picnic & chill 😎
Next time you go to Chantaburi , should try Namtok Phlio , you can feed big fishes with long bean there, so fun when they pull bean from our hands. That’s original place for feeding fish in waterfall😂

We always call it “Road accident squid” because it’s so flat. I never used to like it but do now. There is also a crispy squid that you sometimes get in yentafao.

Thai seafood sauce could not improve marzipan. My brother in law has a fruit stall in a market in North Chonburi. He goes to Chanthaburi for durian during the season as he says it's the best in Thailand. I'm just up the road. I need to take the kids down for a look about sometime soon.
30:26 I think that's Brahminy Kite (If translated from its thai name, it could be litterally called "Red Hawk"). Chantaburi is well known to be the home of these birds.
Boat noodles are ubiquitous in Thailand. Don't think you can find similar dish outside Thailand. I still remember about 60+ years ago that boat noodles in a small bowl costing only 1 baht. You need to eat at least 2 bowls or more to fill your stomach.

So we are en route to South Asia in the next year or so... I am curious about what you were vaccinated for. Particularly with the video's of these random wild dogs. Rabies is no joke if contracted, I'm sure you know the stats... and if you don't, you should.
So we personally have no vaccinations for anything, we just play the dogs by feel and judge how they act, in Thailand it's reyt but in some rough places in India etc probably wouldn't be sitting with the street dogs. The rabies jab still requires you to visit a hospital and get sorted immediately. In England if you want vaccinations just nip to the clinic and theyl give you a list of recommendations.
