If you want a more "conservative" intereview, I think you can find Thai people in Brisbane. I know quite a lot of them who are extremely supportive to military parties.
Those Thai people are evil corrupted. We newer generation of Thai's hate anything with some sort of military ties. So screw all those evil military Thai supporters. We Thailand people do like being under military rule like north Korea, cuba, Iran, and Myanmar. The citizens are treated live peasants and they have no say to make a change. Hopefully the people of Myanmar can win the civil war against the military coup.
It's fairly predictable what urban youths would say. It would be far more interesting for you to interview rural folks about what they think, why they did, or didn't sell their votes, what intimidation they face to vote one way or another.
or interview old boomers on why they tear apart their voting paper so that military can cheat and add their missing vote to themselve? (why some boomers survived covid? covid2.0 plz )
That’s true but remember that even a generation or two generations ago most of them were from highly uneducated families. Most probably moved into the city
I lives in rural Surin. PT and UT did came to my family with money for votes. I and my family grabbed the money of course (free money who wouldn't want that?), idk about everybody else in my family, but for me, i didn't vote for either of them despite getting money from them (fools, oohheeheeheeheehee, there goes the Scooppydoo laugh). I used to voted for PT every single election, but i felt like it's the same old, same old party. They've had their chances, multiple times and i felt that their policy weren't radical enough. I felt that for us to finally be free from the military, we need people who would go absolutely mayhem against the military, the elites and the status quo, erasing or reform the 112 is what i wanted. So, i choose MF. Alas. In the end, the MF didn't win in my district. The Gancha party won out of nowhere.
I've discovered your channel recently and I love your content ! As a Thai living in France and studying geopolitic, I'm so happy to hear my mother tongue again AND keep up with the news :D
Out of the fat and into the fire is one type of change. Let's hope Thailand can keep the peace with its biggest export market and largest source of tourism revenue now that MFP are in charge.
Paddy that was awesome.... fantastic questions asked... good to hear whats happening on the streets of Krung Thep. I have a wish "that the Prayut and Prawit bound together and vote for democracy.... true gentlemen would....
Any suspicions of dictatorship in Thailand must be strongly condemned, particularly in light of the injustice surrounding Pita's candidacy for prime minister.
I think Move Forward Party should have nominated a second person for prime ministership, because if Mr Pita were to be disqualified, then at least there is someone else to lead the party and be the prime minister. But right now, if Mr Pita were disqualified, then Move Forward Party won't be able to become the prime minister, and a lot of their policies may not be able to be implemented, such as the widely watched reform of the royal defamation law.
The Royal Defamation Law doesn’t even affect .1% of Thais nor does help trade, boost economy, develop infrastructure, help fix Burning Season, Pm2.5 Etc. The only people if affects are those that have No Life and wake up every day to Talk Nonsense About the Monarchy Rather Than Trying to Resolve the 50,000 Priority Problems within the Country!!!
It is brilliant that you are doing this work. As a Brit, I was vaguely aware of the election but had no idea what it all meant. It is wryly amusing that the tiny numbers of Thai senators can control the result like the DUP in Northern Ireland or the votes of two or three Ohio seats in the US electoral college!
Military Country Countries are very very evil like Myanmar, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and many more other countries. An the political circumstances is always very corrupted when having some sort of military control ruling. We Thailand people do not like military control or any politician or political party that has some sort of military ties, which is why the move forward party won Nd ousted the evil military people out. This is a big win for all thai citizens to lead the country to a better economy 🙏❤️🇹🇭🇹🇭❤️🙏
It’s cost money to make improvements. Most people do not want to pay more than they have too even to make improvements for the benefit of the country. Look at United States we are fighting over the debt ceiling. The money the government has spend last year, because the IRS was not able to collect enough tax revenue from 2022 to pay our debts.
Great Vlog mate. I am a ‘Non Thai’ but always curious on the views of Thai people who live in Australia. Just a thought, I would like to see a collaboration or an interview by you and a Thai Vloger Chalida , who is currently in Sydney. Her channel is ‘GowithChalida.’
They may favor the young and rich ,on screen thier are anything but not everything . For the our nation we are people and we do the right things cauae we protected our future generation
good interview. I am a bit less struck by the 'new and better party of change'. What specifics are the Thais expecting to change TO? What specific NEW ways of governing from younger leaders do they want? Based on the surface, which is all I'll ever know here as an expat, it sounds a whole lot like "hope and change" and "yes we can" of the Obama years. All hype and no substance during the campaign. I'm hearing platitudes and rhetoric with no substance. What do you think Patty?
I was wondering the same thing but this is the party's "policy buffet" translated to English: docs.google.com/document/d/1NUXtbDvYneJVS1xQeCqvOt_ZWaSQE-SHksRY2GuU1oM/edit
Well in term of reform MFP’s manifesto consist of -Legalization of same sex marraige -Liberalization of liquor production -Amendment to royal defamation law(section 112) -End to military conscription -Complete rewrite of the Constitution -Devolution of power to local governments -Election of provincial governor
The Fudge Thai is smooth compared to other southeast Asian languages! Please keep Africans on that side of the world since every country they have migrated too has become a Hell Hole of Mentally Ill Criminals Males !!!
Move Forward party sucks. They are left wing which means they support communism and socialism just like China do. And China sucks. The reason Thailand 🇹🇭 was a good nation was because they were Right Wing like Japan 🇯🇵 What do you like most Japan 🇯🇵 or China 🇨🇳?
When you asked them as far as what issues moved them to vote one way or another just seemed very generalized to me by stating that this new prime minister represents the new generation. Ok but what are the issues facing thailand right now?? Just seemed like they voted for him simply because hes a younger face. This doesn't impress me at all.
I’m Thai….I’m hoping for the best, I’m for democracy, I’m for whoever the majority of the people voted should be I e the Prine. I is yet…..but, i won’t be too surprise, if suddenly, the Genetaks geot their yanks and so,demurs on the Thai streets for another coup, I won’t be too surprised……unless, unless, there’s something that is a force to be reakoned with that will make them think that a coup wouldn’t be successful, then they wouldn’t do it. My opinion.
@@belachaneywell, it's not our responsibility to say it all. They'll come and work for it without us have to say anything more. U talkin' like ur party have better thing to say and do than this?🤨🤨🤨
@@belachaney I don't wanna hear anything from the only industrialized country where people are afraid to call an ambulance because they might not be able to afford it. Truly an American dream.
