Omg I made this today and it was amazing! Added a cup of beer to make more of a broth & I served it over rice noodles with a garnish of thai basil and crispy shallots. Thanks for the recipe!
Thank you for this easy recipe! I substituted coconut milk with full cream cow milk and added a slice of cheese 😃. I just loved the thick sauce. The fish sauce also brought up the flavour together. Fusion was amazing 👍💖
simple and it must be delicious....I m going to try it for sure....thanx for sharing the most simple alcohol free mussel's recipe. will let u know how is mine turned out.
Could you add a splash of your favorite white wine while it's cooking? Or would it change the direction of the dish in terms of it being a curry like dish/theme. Thank You!
Hello Carlos, A splash of wine would add a bit more of a fruitiness to the dish which would be perfectly fine! Personally, I would just save the wine to pair it while eating the mussels. Possibly a Sauvignon Blanc or dry Reisling. Hope this helps!
Don't toss mussels with your hands like that. The shells and the barnacles often found on the shell can be razor sharp. As a cook your hands are invaluable so be carefull.
simple but I'm sure delicious recipe. Wish I could see your face 'cause you sound cute . Just a suggestion, Try adding the fish sauce after cooking as it really looses it's punch when cooked.
I always get pissed off when people don't clarify the difference between coconut milk and coconut cream because the two are so often used interchangeably.
Yes get all the crap out of them, the cleaner the better the final taste will be much better, my way would be without coconut, but with limes and butter, & a red pepper without pips, and parsley, and dill to garnish, just my way.
