That goosebumps song is "Rasathi" from Film Thiruda Thiruda. If you closely watch Rahman face during this song, he will be emotional because the original song was sang by his close friend late Sahul Hameed.

Yes it's true ... usually ARR would become emotional when listening to rasathi song ... as the late Shahul Hameed sir was his best friend and that he died quite early in his career due to a car accident.

The movie you asked is from thiruda thiruda. A.r Rahman's first movie composition, but released 2nd. I saw an interview of a famous hindi music director who mentioned that this song inspired him to become a music director.

honestly, Thaikkudam Bridge's strength lies in their arrangements, and it comes through when they play covers or mashups of already existing songs. You need to listen to the original album of 'Thiruda Thiruda', it's one of his earliest movies, and one of the best of ARR's soundtracks - 'Raasathi' and 'Veerapandi Kottayile' are 2 of the songs that were played here. Apart from those, 'Thee Thee' and 'Chandralekha' are songs in the movie that every music lover must experience, I feel, they're so brilliant!

The 3rd song sung is a very underrated and and one of my fav songs. Everyone in the Tamil industry loves that song. Just type as “Raasathi from movie Thiruda Thiruda”. You will find it on RU-vid. It’s one of Rahman sir’s every green compositions. The actor in that movie is Prasanth if you don’t know he was the same actor from the movie Jeans who played double role opposite Aishwarya rai in it.

The songs in order : Rang de basanti. Bhoomi Bhoomi, from Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, from here they went to Yuva song. Rasathi song from Thiruda Thiruda movie. Veerapandi Kottayile song. Rang de basanti song again. There is one more song before Rasathi. I don't know from which movie it is from. But, it is inspired from his own song, Karuthamma from a tamil movie.
