I was at a 5 star Hotel in Jomtien Thailand close to Pattaya and just 1 hour bus ride from Bangkok. I had initially planned to travel around Thailand and visit several places Like Phuket, Phi Phi Island, Krabi, Ao Nang, Koh Lanta and other places but I had been staying mostly in Pattaya recently and moving around to different hotels. I've been to Thailand 5 times along with 125 other countries. I was in Thailand for 5 months. It's one of my favorite countries.. Thailand, Peru, Italy, and Grenada are my top 4 countries to visit.

As beautiful as Thailand is, I've heard many negatives about actually living there. Lines for banks & paying bills can be hours long. I've also heard power & internet are intermittent at best. I'm sure the prices & beauty of the island are well worth the wait. Stability is very rewarding @WilliamTaudin. Thailand will definitely be a slower pace of life & one you can enjoy. What can I say, as much as I've enjoyed your adventures these last few years, I think it's ok to take more of a marathon view on things rather than sprint, sprint, sprint. You can absorb...differently...maybe at a different pace. The world has lots of sights, and there are lots of people with travel channels, but there's only one WIlliam Taudien. What I'm saying is, the "stuff" is interesting. But you're interesting also. In fact MY travel goal is to cross paths one day out in the world.

Not everyone knows but there is an airport just outside of Pattaya for domestic flights. You don’t need to go the BKK.
