Journey to Theo Part 1! Our trip from Cincinnati, Ohio, to Bangkok, Thailand, to adopt our sweet son, Theodore Michael Tawin Metz! Michael and Courtney Metz.
Congratulations on y’all’s baby boy!! I am an adoptee from Vietnam, and it always makes me so happy to see others blessed by adoption. I was adopted at 21 months. My mom is a Christian author and had a national ministry that allowed us to travel all over the U.S. as a family. I will cherish those memories I made with my parents forever. I know that Baby Theo will have amazing memories of touring with your family. Adoption is such a tough, but beautiful thing for both the parents and child. I will continuously pray for you, Michael, and Theo as you enter this new journey as a family! ❤️

Congratulations! That’s awesome! I recently completed two years as a missionary in Bangkok and am also an adoptee. Seeing your footage brought tears to my eyes! I am so amazed at the Lord for providing for you during this crazy time so you can adopt your son! I hope that after your quarantine you can get out and see a bit of the area.
While your moms were saying their parting words, my eyes welled up thinking of how wonderful our God is who is interested in the smallest details of our life. Our prayers are with you. ❤️❤️❤️

I recently found yall through the Collingsworth IG page sharing about yalls adoption journey....im in Love!!! I am an adoptee.....born/adopted in the USA. My 2 sisters are adopted from India. Courtney and Mike, I just had to send you another note to tell you both that I’m thinking of you as you wait out your 2 weeks quarantine in the hotel. I had covid myself and the time went by quickly as I did a lot of sleeping and watching a little tv. I think if I were you both (not having covid) I’d be climbing the walls being stuck in a hotel room for that long. I hope you have plenty of games and things to do to occupy yourselves while in quarantine. But I imagine the anticipation and excitement is really building up to when you two can unite with your precious little boy! Please keep us updated along the way. ❤️

Oh, thank you for this upload. Please keep them coming! I have been praying for you and have been wondering what was happening on your trip. This is so thrilling, and I can’t wait for the next installment. I love the little “day in the life” episodes. I know we can’t see Theo’s face on video, but I also look forward to seeing the excitement on the day that you meet your son.
I love this. I am adopted and I think it’s a special thing what you all are doing! I was adopted at birth by a pastor and his wife and I am thankful for the life I was given. I am now a music director and Gods blessings have been great! Congratulations
Thank you for sharing this video. When Theo is older and y’all watch this together, wow, what a special time it is. Sooooo happy for y’all. We never know where life will take us. You would probably like to have your parents with you. Safe travel, Thailand looks beautiful and prayers for a peaceful transition for everyone involved, especially the baby. Delighted i came across your beautiful video. Hope everything worked out great for you on meeting your son Theo and travelling home. We adopted our daughter from Thailand and returned home to Ireland mid February. We count our blessings everyday she is an absolute joy. Best wishes to you three on your journey ahead.
