All of what you say is correct but here's the thing, while you're in Thailand no one is holding a gun to your head telling you to hand over your cash. The choice is yours and yours alone. The primary cause of western men screwing up, or getting cleaned out is simply down to poor judgement. It's often said that when a western male arrives in Thailand, he leaves his grey matter at the airport. Another major driver behind the poor judgement is letting the small head do the thinking for the big head. In other words, confusing lust for love. After living in Thailand for 27 years and having my share of issues with Thai ladies I think I can confidently say that love, in the western sense at least, does not exist in Thailand. What exists is a kind of pragmatic approach, even between Thai women and Thai men. People get married to raise status, get financial security, and have children but true love is lower on the priority ranking. If every westerner going to Thailand started with this concept as the baseline, then there'd be far less tragic stories going around. I'll say it it again, true love does not really exist in Thailand. But if you're rich enough to support an extended family, and you're getting plenty of sex with a lady half your age, then it's up to you. For a price of course.

Love is real in Thailand only you can't find it because most farang men go to the same place why don't you change your attraction sometime in case you find true love. Most old western men will go into the coffin in the next few days. come to choose a child from your child's generation to be your wife like this? You will find true love. Good people, not beautiful, not sexy, you don't choose. Why not take the same model, same age or maybe 2 or 3 years less? A foreigner man aged 60-80 but looking for a wife aged 20-35 Where will your true love be? Can't find until death. If thinking of having a wife of this age, you should also study the habits of both parties. leave it for consideration

@Mega >>> A rather cynical view of love and marriage. Maybe it doesn't work between westerners and Thai women. For instance cultural difference, language barriers and the westerner is not educated from birth in THEIR ways. The Thais obviously get married and settle together successfully. Of course there are breakups - like anywhere. Even for little money on the part of the provider. Why would any westerner want to settle with a Thai (looking for love) on reflection?? Because they are losers (socially inept, selfish, etc) at home and cannot sustain a partnership there. Thailand for western men is for fun and ONLY for fun - granted. PS big of you to admit failures in Thailand. Hopefully it won't take some dill 27 years to find that out.

SO the video is not about living in Thailand, it's about the women. You can have a good life there without becoming a sponsor to a bargirl. Why would I want to go back to home country when that is the place I'm trying to escape? One of the reasons is expense. The nature and the unknown and living outside your comfort zone is what makes it a fantastic place to live. I'm under the impression you took one of these poor souls in like Sally Struthers used to plead for on TV and had a rude awakening. If you have a steady income that can pay for a nice place and a few nights a week on a comfortable barstool and an adventure here and there, it's an AMAZING place..If you're intent is to chase whores around, I'm sure it's self destructive.

Exactly....I have been there for 6 months and lived cheaply, surfed every day, and never paid for one women, though I saw like 15-18 for short fling (I met them at the beach)...if one is not an idiot and play the "game" probably (without hurting any women and telling them what's up), and see Thailand for what it is and not being a fool, you can have the best of both worlds...I guess that's like anywhere else in the world....

It is not about Thailand as a trap, it is about Men who are seeking pleasures and confuse them with happiness. If you live in Thailand since you appreciate the culture, the beauty of the Beaches, the nature in the North, the food and you understand the people, you will be okay if you can discipline yourself. On the other hand, if you go there to drink, use drugs, engage with prostitutes, and have the illusion that Thailand is paradise, you are ready to go under. I visited Thailand for the first time in 1986, I traveled all over the place and lived there for 15 years Thailand is no trap but you can make it your death trap for sure, the problem is : YOU.

Completely agree...if one just does a bit of research beforehand and use the brain that was given to you, you have a wonderful life with: fresh food, beaches, great nature, great prices of renting a house, apartment etc....and then STAY away from the bar-scene and get all of other Thailand's glories, it is a perfect place....I have done that, for the last 10 years (being working for 8 months and then coming 4 months to Thailand), and be doing exactly that, if one does that and keep to one's tactic(s) you have the best deal in the world.....

There are 60 unexplained deaths of Brits in Thailand in two years Part 2 Liam Whitaker, 24, was found hanged in a Thai police cell in 2013. Sue Jones, too, was appalled by how Kirsty's death was treated. Thai police were quick to try to wrap up the crime, arresting the British owner of the £7-a-night Aree guesthouse where Kirsty was staying. However, he was later released after DNA recovered from Kirsty's sarong, which had been used to strangle her, found that her attacker was Thai. But with a limited national DNA database, no match was found, and as police had allowed a local TV crew into the guesthouse, the crime scene was compromised. "The Thai police don't have the resources to investigate properly. It's all quite corrupt, you can't believe anything," says Sue. "I've no faith in the authorities there, that they'll ever find who killed her." She says one problem is that the Foreign Office puts diplomacy with Thailand ahead of the grieving families' need to find answers. "You should be treated as a UK national no matter where you die, but once you leave the UK, no one seems to care about you." In three years, Thai police will close the case, obeying their time limit of 20 years. This tears at Sue. "She was my only daughter, full of adventure and love. I can't bear to think about her last moments, how scared she must have been. "I see life in two parts now. A line was drawn between when we had Kirsty and when we didn't. "I miss her terribly and think about her every day, what she would be doing now, what she would think of things. Life will never be the same, you just learn to cope with the pain, to carry the grief." While Kirsty was killed on the Thai mainland, there appears to be a worrying trend of British youngsters dying on Koh Tao, just as Hannah Witheridge, David Miller, and Christina Annesley did. Koh Tao was once a tropical paradise, but there are growing reports of it being run by a local mafia, who pick off tourists at will and who are protected by the police. Foreigners, it seems, are fair game. Little wonder, you might think, that Christina's parents, Margaret, 58, and Boyne, 66, are active members of the MAMA group. At first, they accepted the official findings, but are now suspect foul play may have been a factor in her death. "There's part of me that doesn't want to know how she died," says Margaret, a personal assistant. "I find it too painful to think about whether someone could have hurt my child. "There is a common theme here about corruption and suspicious deaths. People need to be warned about the dangers of traveling there." Andrew Apperley, 38, disappeared from a party on Ko Pha Ngan last year. The family of Christina, a political activist, viewed Twitter updates about her travels. One of her last called Koh Tao "one of the most beautiful places in the world". But when she failed to reply to a text message asking if she was OK, Margaret became worried. The next day two policemen arrived at her home. "I just screamed as soon as I saw them through the window. I instinctively knew why they were here. I was sobbing, "No, no, no, please, no." That was the worst moment of my life. The best was when Christina was born. She was a fiercely intelligent person - a free spirit." She adds: "The police told us she had died in her hotel room and there was no sign of foul play. I believed them at the time. But nothing makes sense anymore. "It's only as time has gone on and by meeting other parents that we hear of so many coincidences, and that has made us doubt there was nothing suspicious. There are so many unexplained deaths on Koh Tao. The Thai authorities don't investigate them properly and we get conflicting information." With such a climate, you may wonder how the Foreign Office can continue to say Thailand is a safe place to visit. Indeed, the founder of MAMA, Pat Harrington - who lost her son Ben in suspicious circumstances on Koh Tao - is scathing about this travel advice. "The Government needs to look into these suspicious deaths and issue proper travel warnings," she says. "No family should ever have to go through the pain that we have." Ben, a 32-year-old IT consultant, had left for a trip of a lifetime with his younger brother, Mark, 28, in August 2012. Just days later, he was found dead in a ditch, after being killed on his motorbike. Local police insisted it was a traffic accident. Officers took no photographs of the scene and have no record of who found the body. Yet Ben's watch and wallet were missing, which fuelled single-parent Pat's fear that her son was mugged. There have been reports of robbers using wires to knock over bikers in the area where he was killed. Ben Harrington, 32, was found dead in a ditch, after being killed on his motorbike. Thai authorities then pressured the family into cremating Ben immediately - which they thankfully refused. For although a Thai post-mortem examination claimed Ben's head had turned towards his back 180 degrees, which would have broken his neck, a second autopsy in Britain said there were no neck injuries and that he had died from blunt trauma to his chest and a ruptured aorta. Tellingly at his inquest, senior coroner for West Sussex, Penelope Schofield, said she was unable to record a verdict of accidental death as she said: "I don't feel I have sufficient evidence to be satisfied it definitely was an accident." Pat, a 64-year-old nurse from Reigate, Surrey, who has another son, Luke, 30, was forced to turn detective herself. "I spoke to people who have lived on the island, who told me about police corruption and mafia control. I could see a pattern of suspicious deaths, passed off as accidents and suicides, which are all totally wrong. "I now believe my son was murdered. It may have been the result of a mugging that went wrong, but it was murder." The Foreign Office says travel advice for Thailand is kept under constant review and, in a statement to the Mail, expressed its "deepest sympathies to the families of Kirsty, Christina, and Ben." As for its perceived hands-off approach when dealing with the Thai justice system, its statement says: "We have made a number of representations to the Thai authorities, but cannot interfere in another country's police investigation, just as we would not allow another country to interfere in ours." But for the heartbroken mothers of MAMA, such words aren't enough. They want justice for their dead children - and won't stop until they get it.

I agree with this video 100%. Lots of guys do not want to accept the truth. The reason is they are desperate to find happiness but at the same time do not want to see the consequences. Stepping into a lions den, but not expecting to get eaten is an extremely poor choice. You have to understand that most men that go there are of older age and have been through long unsuccessful relationships back in their country of origin. They usually have been lonely for a long time and very desperate long for companionship. Vs. younger men who go to Thailand only to seek short term fun and do not make the mistake of thinking of the country as being long term. When you go from your first world country to a third world country and not expect to receive trouble then you are seriously deluding yourself. Unfortunately the will for companionship with a woman who you know already will accept you (because of your money) is too hard to pass by for these guys because they continue to be lonely because no woman wants them in their own country, usually because they are considered 'too old'. In Thailand they get attention quickly and feel valued, however this value is usually false and only a way for a Thai woman to gain his money. You talk about bringing the Thai woman to the mans country, this is not the solution because the Thai woman quickly changes from being third world to first world and realises he has allot gain being by herself and will quickly leave the man once she knows she can remain in his country without actually needing to be with him. Again just using him for a tool for her to gain residency and then quickly leave him and leaving him heart broken because of the sudden split with literally no notice or signs that she was unhappy, because it is pre-planned from the very beginning anyway. Again the man loses out even if he brings her to his country. In both instances hes just a tool for her to use to improve her own situation and also her families. Thai women will never put their husband first, their families will always be the top priority for them and this is why marriage to a Thai woman never will work. Her priorities to her family above her husband are built into her from her culture from the very moment she is born. There is nothing you can do to change that no matter how much you think your Thai wive loves you. No matter how convincing she is you cannot change this, her priorities are to her family and you are just another male tool to improve her family wealth by any means possible, including her deluding a westerner into thinking she really loves him so that she can more easily control and exploit what he does with his money. Thai women know there are many men they can use and many other options once she leaves you because you are not the only old and lonely man out there. You may think you have a happy life in Thailand with your Thai wife but you are being deluded and living a false life compared to whats really going on behind the scenes. Your Thai wife is laughing at your behind your back because you are willing to lose so much of your money just for her company because she knows you are unable to find companionship with simular aged girls in your own country.

Yeah, I don't know if all that is true. I'm in my 30s and work remotely or freelancing for a company back home. I live in Bangkok full-time and have a pretty decent lifestyle here. I got a relationship for 4 years, we are not married and we don't plan to have children, I'm not supporting her except for activities together like holidays or restaurants. Everything goes well and I don't see why it should get tits up. If you're a 60-year-old guy with a tendency to alcohol, sexually frustrated, and probably deeply in need of female attention, and you're going to Pattaya for a holiday and fall in love with a bar girl, it's of course certain that things will get bad. You wouldn't marry a prostitute in your home country either. I just don't know why old guys believe in true love with an age difference of 30-40 years, that's just ignorance. Just stay away from the bar scene, don't get involved with the typical expat drinking group and don't live in Pattaya, don't get involved with bar girls, and look for a woman somehow your age and not super poor with a huge family relying on her. I saw many people coming here, opening a bar, getting sucked into alcoholism, and extorted for money. The mistakes are very easy to avoid and except for some tragic cases, mostly it's the guy's fault. Thailand is a paradise with a somehow Western budget. Just saying that you should stay away from Thailand is not true. I somehow sense that the creator of this video made some bad experiences with women here by himself and just lost all hope.

I've had extensive experience with Thai people, after first meeting and marrying a Thai women here in Sydney who owned a restaurant in my suburb back in 1996. I have a half Thai daughter and have had 3 other serious relationships with Thai women over the last 37 years. No way would I ever live in Thailand unless I had a lot of money and could afford the Platinum Thai visa card, and also could afford to come and go as I pleased between my beach suburb here in Sydney and Thailand. My plan when I retire is to go and stay in Thailand for 3 months at a time when it is the most suitable weather, and not to stay for more than 179 days per years so Thailand can't tax my Superannuation investments as they will start to do for anyone bringing money into Thailand and living there for more than 180 days per year. Thailand can be a really good place to relax and enjoy yourself if you know the culture well and can speak basic Thai.

While fools and their money are easily parted, Thai women do have their ways of extracting money from foreigners in ways that can sound reasonable at the time. A friend lost a house after he married a bar girl who, in line with her profession, charged him indirectly as much as she could get away with. That said, the person that I know best of all married a Thai girl who had been a virgin before they met 25 years ago. Now with 4 children between 24 & 14 they are still together, in Thailand. They have up’s and down’s as we all do and the mother in law did get a nice village house. The secret is to strictly manage the finances yourself and when the buffaloes are sick that’s their problem.

What in the hell is this guy talking about? Is he truly saying that a western man who worked his entire life so that he could enjoy retirement should not chill out and relax in Thailand while his wife continues to work? This guy is truly saying that a retired man who does not work while his wife works is a lowlife and that what he should have done is (1) tell his thai wife to stop working (2) leave her thai family and move to the much more expensive west (3) forego his personal retirement (after decades of work and building savings) and start working again at an old age, where being that the west (for example America) is expensive as hell, the man would likely have to keep working until death....aka no retirement. I get the fact that you need to be careful with who you pick as a partner, whether in Thailand or wherever you are in the world, but the above makes zero sense to me. The guy in this video is making a ton of speculation as to why the 60 year old took his life. He made sure to make it fit his "I hate thai women" narrative when he truly has no idea why the 60 year old guy committed suicide. Only God and that man knows the true reason.

You lost me when you started shaming. I see this is a 2 year old video, maybe you need to update your knowledge about MGTOW. You never ever take the woman to the west, unless you want to play roulette with the divorse court. If you are choosing marriage, and know the MGTOW philosophy, including the RP, then you stay outside the west. You move, not the woman! I will give you some pushback, from about 9:00 in your video. First, get the facts first. I am a Norwegian, and I can assure you, if this man was retired, or on social security, he had cash flow. Just to get this clear, Norway is wealthy, maybe one of the richest countries in the world with a functioning welfare state. Norway is the "Kuwait of Europe..", and the SS/retirement benefit you get is high, and you can take your Norwegian SS/retirement benefit with your wherever in the world you choose to retire. The question is, was this cash flow good enough for his wife and her family? Second, why choose to shame a man "sitting at home"? Do we know about the health condition of this man? Is there a reason he sit at home? Maybe he sit at home and read books? Or he is a responsible parent, staying at his castle looking after his children and his family? Just for the argument, would it be better if he spent his time in the bar and socialized with farang men? Then again, maybe this is a cultural thing, but here in Scandinavia, it is uncommon to observe families where the father of the house chip in and take possibilities at the home if he has no job, if he is retired or has SS. This is common sense here in Scandinavia, and we value logic & reason. But I know there exist (macho-) cultures where this kind of behavior does not make sense.. @9:32 Yes, you are insulting, and I find it quite "low life" of you to play this card, as a fellow MGTOW man. And for the rest of the argument, you sound like a trad-con, or even worse a woman, like when they do the "man up" & "a man must become" shaming, and argue a man only has value if he stay at the plantation. Like this man needs to qualify to your cultural norms, and have your approval.. Man, what if this man was sitting at home, managing and securing his wealth, but choose to self-delete because of a nagging wife? I know you can do better than this..

Your 100% correct about MGTOW. I'm an Australian. I'm never getting married. I have a girlfriend in Australia, but noway would I cohabitate. Never bring them back to the court system in this country. You'd only get taken to the cleaners if you took the traditional BE A MAN roll.

Thailand can be a paradise for retirees. Low cost of life, quality of life, low crime rate, but use common sense, whatever looks too good to be true, probably it is, so be real, be logical, dont live a fantasy and you will be fine.

British folk can still get their pension but you lose the automatic yearly increases to take cost of living going up and things into consideration. So you won't see any increase in your pension if you move to Thailand. I saw that on 'Rocket Travels' channel.

Thailand's Supreme Court upholds death penalty for men convicted of murdering British backpackers(Hanna Witheridge and David Miller0 Helen Regan byline By Helen Regan and Angie Puranasamriddhi, CNN Updated 4:57 AM ET, Thu August 29, 2019 Myanmar nationals Win Zaw Tun (L) and Zaw Lin look out from a prison transport van as they arrive at court for the start of their trial on the Thai resort island of Koh Samui in 2015. (CNN)Thailand's Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence for two Burmese migrant workers convicted of murdering two British backpackers on a Thai resort island in 2014. Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo -- also known as Win Zaw Htun -- were found guilty of the rape and murder of Hannah Witheridge, 23, and the murder of David Miller, 24, on December 24, 2015. The bodies of the young Britons were discovered in September 2014 on a beach on Koh Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand. They were partially undressed and had sustained severe head injuries. The murders on Koh Tao -- an idyllic island popular with divers -- drew intense media attention from across the world. Defense lawyers for the two men later alleged that police had rushed the investigation in order to avoid Thailand losing its image as one of the world's most popular tourist destinations. But Thailand's top court Thursday upheld the death penalty, ruling that forensic evidence against the convicted men was "clear, credible, and detailed." The court also refuted suggestions that the police had mishandled the case. Speaking outside the courtroom in Bangkok, head defense lawyer for the pair, Nakhon Chomphuchat, said they would seek a royal pardon, which must be submitted within 60 days. Forensic evidence The Burmese men, from Myanmar's Rakhine state, were working in the hospitality industry on the island at the time of the incident. They were arrested almost two weeks after the bodies were found and originally confessed, only to later recant, saying their admissions of guilt were made under duress. The defense team argued that the police investigation was flawed due to the "alleged mishandling of forensic evidence, abuse of suspects and intimidation of witnesses," according to a previous statement issued by the Migrant Worker Rights Network, a rights group assisting the defense team. Thai police are investigating their deaths as murder and searching for suspects. Hanna Witheridge and David Miller Thai police said forensic evidence, including DNA samples from cigarette butts, found near the bodies, tied the men to the scene. In 2015, the two men -- both 22 -- were found guilty of murder and sentenced to death. An appeals court upheld the guilty verdict in 2017. Andy Hall, the international affairs adviser to the official legal defense team, said that while he respected the decision of the court, the death penalty sentence against the two should "be reversed and quashed." He added that the forensics evidence relied upon to convict the pair was "in my opinion fundamentally flawed and should always have been considered unreliable when considered against international standards on DNA and forensics usage in criminal trials." "I express my deepest sympathy to all those whose lives have been touched and changed forever by this tragic case," he said. In June last year Thailand lifted a de facto moratorium on the use of the death penalty, executing a man by lethal injection in the country's first execution since August 2009, rights groups said.

I like & agree with many of your past videos & understand this one BUT to say don't live in Thailand, To stay in your own country etc etc is wrong for you to say. It's totally upto the individual in what he or she wants & lives. Not all guys go to Thailand or other Asian countries just to meet a woman. Many like me go to the countries to experience the diverse culture, the people, the vast & beautiful places within the countries. Many people like me leave their own countries & travel to experience life, other lives & what else is out there apart from what they know. I think this particular video of yours is very blinckered. All the best for 2021

First there’s some truth in what you say but it really comes down to being financially responsible and knowing how to manage your budget. If you can’t manage a budget and plan in your own country then you certainly should not move anywhere overseas. It’s not that complicated. To move overseas you need money. That said I can live in Thailand for way less than half of the cost in the US and have a better quality of life. The culture and people there have been great to us and very friendly and welcoming. I would say many of these tragedies would happen no matter where that person lived because sounds like he was already troubled and possibly tried to run from his problems and brought them to Thailand .We love Thailand
