If I go to market like this I always buy at least one thing from every seller. I feel bad when the other seller looking at me and not I'm buying from them.
I was here yesterday, it was kind of sad nowadays, not as many vendors or tourists and vendors really put the pressure on you to buy with one vendor pretty much third world begging you to buy merchandise.
I guess this is worth visiting. But I’m afraid of other tourists. You’ll feel much more comfortable. This may sound weird, but I want to feel uncomfortable. I want a weird authentic experience.
Chef then don’t go to a tourist town. Every popular big city around the world is filled with tourists. (Bangkok probably the most) I suggest going to a smaller town if you want to feel unique. I get what you mean though u want to stand out like what is he doing here.. smaller town will be more boring but it will get a lot of head turns lol. Or maybe the outer parts of Bangkok. It feels less touristy and cheaper on the outskirts of the city limits and you can take bts easily if u want to go the main parts.
Just been there. Our taxi try ripped our wallet by take us to expensive boat dealer.. which offer 1500 baht / person. Be carefull if u offer cheap taxi to here... my taxi driver only charge 1000 baht from bangkok to damnoen saduak market (two ways back to bangkok) . The boat it self maybe about 1000 baht perhours. Always be carefull to tourist trap !
My moms Thai so she has been there but she told me that they wash there plates and bowls by just putting them in the dirty water and take take them out. Disgusting but it’s good food.
400 baht? We were told 4600 baht for 2 people, after haggling they said Thai price 2800 baht for 2 people... in February 2020 it was mostly empty with very little vendors.
This is probably the worst experience I ever had.. Just watched your video after i visited & we got scammed.. I paid 2000 baht for 1 hour. The taxi boat guy kept trying to force us to buy souviniers.. Wish i had the experience you had looks a lot better..
