for the old guy in the temple, even if it does not cure his cancer, but it gives him a better quality of life just for a few months I think that's a good thing. :)
it cures cancer ....but you have to GROW IT - to learn of life- to get your mind into reality ....and eat it fried....and eat it raw ...as much as possible ....for long time ....and never stop ....if u take it litle so-so ...it might not work .....there is no leathal dose of it
How can a plant be illegal when it's never killed anyone but has cured countless numbers? The change is long overdue, but you can't keep a good herb down, thankfully! :)
Even if cannabis doesn't cure everything, being able to choose freely how you can mitigate pain and feel good again while you still have life to live is immensely valuable. It doesn't need to cure everything; enabling happiness is good enough.
Cannabis in Thailand has long been classified as a drug for junkies unlike in Western countries. I hope that changes one day. It is saving lives, not taking lives like alcohol and cigarettes.

Glad to see Thailand leading the way on cannabis reform in Asia. I wish my country was more sensible with regard to cannabis regulation. You lose everything if you're caught with it here.
The pharmaceutical industry does not want a natural product that works, on the market . this show summed it up by saying " a gift from nature ". good on you Thailand government , I sincerely hope many other government follow in your footsteps .
@@luwdig6810 sounds like you and youre friend almost blame cannabis in a way, when it really would boils to his choice and his weed guy imo 🤷🏾♂️ tragic none the less dude
@Jeff Gyro I know I can get it and I know the police don't care in some areas, but I still don't think I want to take that risk. The law is arbitrarily enforced.
So I had booked a flight to Thailand, on April 3th ... and when I wanted to board I got refused ... I am banned for life ... of course I had paid the hotel, the tests and I had a COE ... why I am banned I do not know ... I asked the Embassy in Brussels and a few of my friends asked this too ... but no reply ... now one month later I will just try to get a refund from the Quarantine hotel and the flight because this is pointless ... I contacted the Immigration Division by email and they told me to visit them personally in Bangkok, which is impossible, because I can never get there ... anyway ... I think Thai people are making fun of me ... that they enjoy destroying me totally ... all this stuff is not normal ...
The world needs to see more of news like this , I’m a huge cannabis supporter, and truly believe in this product. God has definitely gifted us with such an amazing product. I believe in this product both medically and recreationally. I believe the benefits are endless even in the economic side of things to all the way to someone who has depression. I believe you can be fully functional with this product and use it as a relaxing tool or even to relax with friends. I hope more and more people can get on board with cannabis, because the bad stigma on cannabis needs to go ASAP !
Let us not mention the benefits of hemp. Hemp is far superior to cotten which is distructive to the environment. You can make fuel, paint paper and thousands of other products from hemp. Who has a vested interest in keeping things the way they are? The pharmaceitical, oil, paper, logging, chemical companies is who. Because hemp will make a lot of their "products" obsolete.
@@suminshizzles6951 i agree , if these politicians ( on both sides) really wanted to help the earth they would make hemp legal to grow everywhere. This one plant could have a huge impact on the " saving the earth program" . i think we could help with feeding our hungry and the worlds hunger with hemp. Heck i think they should do away with the corn products and replace them with hemp . theres a reason why GOD almighty put it here and a few select people say no. B.S.
Government should be held accountable to the damage they caused by denying and the families they tore apart by punish those who self medicated,I call them those who carried the flame!
Aren't all possums angry unless bonded with a human. 😁 Angry American meets angry UK. Hi don't be angry I don't want be angry any more some people are ok 😉
they have not. 99% of weed here comes from Burma Cambodia and the best from Laos (tie stick, not "Thai stick" which is a misunderstanding). Tie(d) stick is and never was Thai. It comes from Laos
When i was a teenager way back in the late 1980's there was a massive importation into NZ of a couple of different types of weed one was the Thai Stick & the other was called Thai Chocolate. Both were really strong Sativa strain types the Sticks gave you an almost Trippy High i guess thats why some called it Tripping Thai. The Chocolate was a little less intense but seemed to creep up & knock you around a min or two after smoking. The herb was doing the rounds for about 3-4 months & occasionally someone would say i just got an ounce brick piece (the chocolate strain was pressed so you had to steam it out or chisel pieces off) but it wasnt around long. Anyway i am astounded that after experiencing these Thai strains that it would be a problem for Thai growers to find good strain the genetics are already there these people just seem to look in the wrong places sad if either of those great strains are just a memory now?
I have tried 'Thai Stick' in the early 2000's. It looked the the low quality brick weed from Mexico, but it was some of the strongest cannabis I've tried during the time. I hope Thailand invests in growing their landrace strains because they have something special.
@@peezyface Most of the Herb up until the 1990's in NZ was from southeast Asian strains no real Indica strains of note came about here because of our isolation until the 90's at least in my own experience. One thing i really miss is actual Hash Oil meaning Oil made from Hash man that had the spiciest taste out. Really expensive but totally worth every cent a couple of pinheads worth on foil & you were out for hours way stronger than opium & it just seemed to last for ages. Ahh Ganja Memories.
Karl Ashdown yes I miss real hash and oil too. Was gonna say the same thing ... a piece smaller than a grain of rice would do some damage. the rosins they are pressing now are phenomenal. Genetics and growing techniques have advanced light years in the last ten years. I liken it to how martial arts have been around since forever, but MMA has advanced martial arts more in the last 20 years than it did in thousands of years. I was a recreational/party smoker since I was in high school. The older I get the more I appreciate it for actually having healing properties. I don’t smoke nearly as much, maybe a joint a month now, due to asthma, and legality where I’m at in Hawaii ...
@@peezyface Indeed the face of Herb has changed not sure if its a good thing or a just a sign of things to come. I remember when i first came across Skunk when i was a teenager a guy brought some Skunk to the area i was living/growing at the time the actual strain was "Americano Skunk" was the first heavy Indica i had ever seen growing with leaves that had super fat heavy ridges & almost looked as if there was crystals growing on them in profusion the buds were just super dense & the smell was unbelievable. But now almost all the Skunk strains have had that stink breed out to stop detection by law sad really right now im heavy into Afghani because of the chronic pain that developed at end of my 30's but often start the day with some Cheese or Kakariki(local sativa strain very similar to Diesel) Hopefully in the next few weeks we find out if im still a criminal its being voted on as we speak fingers crossed?
Karl Ashdown I’m probably 20 years younger than you. Same here love my Afghan (purple) strains. I remember my weed man had “purple” and the entire nug was purple and would only sell to me $10 increments and the bags would be so tiny, nug maybe size of ring finger/pinky nail. I was a broke college kid at the time and all my buddies would throw $5 on a session. I came back with $20 dollars worth and they were gonna fight me because they thought I pinched the bags or stole their money. We only smoke blunts at the time and one $10 bag didn’t even breakdown enough to roll a proper blunt. It was pretty much all cigar paper ... we were so used to filling the cigar to same shape as it was when filled with tobacco. Needless to say it was the highest we ever got and called the weed man back ... and a day later he was out. Never came across that same ‘purple’ strain ever ... and at the time there were plenty of good purple strains in California. Everything was some kind of ‘grapes’ strain. But nothing close. Closest I’ve had was a strain called ‘black’ and found it in Hollywood CA. Never seen it again anywhere. BEST of luck on your case.
as a journalist who probably had to go to others countries and saying she took cannabis may put her on legal troubles on said countries... we will never know...
Same as an Iranian I didn’t think this would be more than a joke now as a UK resident I am beginning to envy them doesn’t matter though I still buy illegally though so it’s all good
And I dont understand the difficulty these people experience in growing, you can literally just make an account on an online forum and have experts from around the world guide you throughout the process.
Every human on this planet should strive to attain Daddy Dam's profound level of enlightenment. His soul shined brightly through his beautiful words of wisdom. I see and honor you, my brother.
Thank you for this, I just wish that the higher ops in the government of Philippines will pass this bill already, I've been an advocate a long time, but still, government of Philippines can't accept this medicinal plant, a sad truth.
I doubt that'll happen. Philippinos seem to've fully absorbed the "drugs are bad" mantra put forth by the government. Afaik, there's no cultural history of using the plant in the Phils. Maybe it was the history of usage that allowed the Thai government to make this change.
Here on koh lanta where I live since 8-9 years even the police, not all of cause, smoke weed. And the local bars pay the police and... Corruption can be a beautiful thing when it benefits me 😊
@@mortenfrosthansen84 you go to the police and tell them what you want to do. Then someone will come and check what kinda place you have, how much you sell and they give you a number. It's not much you can do. If you don't pay, they'll take you to jail. But because I'm not Thai, it's very difficult for me to know exactly what's going on. Even if you're "white" and open place you have to have a thai front figure. The last seizure I heard of because of not paying was 25 kg weed and 5 years jail. Probably a whole lot of money too. But it's usually worth to pay the police. They're not joking around but they rather seek a friendly solution. That's my own conclusion. Somehow it seems to work 💚
@@heavymeddle28 I was essentially being critical about the corruption situation. Now when these cops, stand to loose their steady income of dirty money. What's gonna happen then? Will they start to peddle heroin instead? On the other side... I live in Denmark. We have something called Christiania here.. where I also suspect a lot of cops make a little extra on the side. And I've been on the legalise team for years. So much money and influence is going to some bad people. Why not spend it on stuff that matters more. Activities for the youth comes to mind instantly. And so many man hours spent in police, by going around checking under people's nutsacks. They could be directed into solving all the neglected crimes, like burglary and traffic violations. Perhaps a good idea, for the Thai police also. Still it's definitely gonna ruffle some feathers and take some adjustments. Really hope it works out as well as we've seen in Holland, Canada and the states. Best wishes and take care in this already troubled time. 420
@@mortenfrosthansen84 thanks my friend 😊. The only thing I know is that meth and heroin is a no no. Only weed and mushrooms. But yea, my friends dad who was the "over seer" of the police here on koh lanta got shot dead when he exposed 5 cops selling heroin and weed. 15 years ago. The police are the real "mafia" here. I'm more scared of them than any others. Denmark?! 😀 I'm Swedish. I only been to Denmark 1 time when I was 6. Back in 1977. Don't remember much. And christiania has always been a talking thing in Sweden. Cool. And I was a little bit sarcastic when I wrote that corruption is a good thing when it benefits me. I smoke some weed now and then but I don't sell or anything like that. You take care too 😊
Thailand is a wonderful country with lovely people.. Being able to enjoy cannabis same way as tea, coffee in Thailand would be wonderful. I am already sold on Thailand but if I could have a peacefull smoke along with my coffee. Also countrys like Vietnam should also consider decriminalized cannabis.
Good to see how the government has made marijuana part of their healthcare system by providing it to those with limited resources so that patients can get access to new modeles of care they wouldn't otherwise have at their disposal.
My Thai friend has Parkinson's and he does the oil. It is amazing to see the transformation after he takes it. It is illegal where I currently live and have used it in the past for my pain and PTSD with success with no side effects except I tend to eat more, ha ha ha. I like it for helping me sleep as well without the after effects that the pharmaceutical medicine caused. All the state's that borders the state I live in has legalized it and I am hoping for them to do so here.
The world needs a class action lawsuit against all governments who banned weed for the pain and suffering that they caused by not allowing people access to nature.
humidity bro, im a grower in colorado and powdery mildew starts at 60% humidity.. they have over 90% most of the year in thailand.. they need to go to the mountains. humboldt is a great humidity especially in aug september when there are bigger nugs that get moldy.
Sorry but you California growers think too highly of your expertise, though I believe the area gets credit for starting the seedless sensimilla improvement. I have seen way better bud in Nepal and Kerala India than I ever saw in California. There are lots of skilled growers in Thailand. I lived there in the early 80's. Genetics, soil and climate dictate a lot of the qualities so even a California grower would have to adjust as the environment is tropical

in 2018, during Songkran I was given a cigarette "joint" and was stopped in Phuket... I did not smoke it. I was arrested- hired a lawyer and was BANNED FOR LIFE over a joint... every Canadian would see this as a an extreme punishment when cannabis was medically legal... it was a torture experience... when I was sent to a torture detention center and then deported to Canada ... upon arrival I smoked a nice joint because it is legal in CANADA for medical use - and assisted me with my emotional and psychological trauma during my Thailand 2018 experience
If he continued to use the cannabis and eat healthy then I am sure he is fully cured. I know because that is how I cured my stomach ulcer and severe gastritis, I couldn't even swallow my saliva that is how bad I was. Cannabis saved my life.
Natures medicine not just for physical disease but it's psychoactive and good for mental health, so moderate recreational use should be legal also. Decriminalisation the way to go globally. Counting every leaf, root and stem is ridiculous. Anyone should be allowed grow a limited amount tor personal consumption. Did the reporter try the oil? Her personal opinion would be nice. 😎🧡

It won't sell for no 2,000 a key, all the world is starting to grow it. The price in USA has dropped by 2/3... as production increases. Still made Washington State 310million in taxes in 2017.
people have been curing cancer with cannabis oil for years but here in the uk the problem is it is illegal to claim you have a cure for cancer so you can get arrested for telling people, i wonder why?
wow Daddy Dam is such a wise man. love his take on cannabis. He totally has it down. people need to learn to grow and share and enjoy cannabis. It truly is a gift put here from God. It shouldn't be about money.
Oh geesss... Thailand has so much sun, just grow them outdoor. And sell them cheap. Everyone gets healed, problem solved! The problem happens when things that affect the individual are criminalized, and misinformation is spread. It's time to learn a whole lot more.
@ASphincterSaysWhat ? Outdoor is free a way better, unless you're so far gone that regular weed doesn't do anything anymore. It's time to cut back and stop being such a hippy stoner.
My Filipina friend told me that the police can shoot any person who is caught with a joint. The Filipino president has waged war on any drugs including Marijuana.
@Asphincter says what? That's your limited assumptions. Outdoor does work, and it does treat cancer, whether you believe what I've witnessed or not... isn't really my problem.
