China got many other options through land route via Pakistan and Myanmar and the Nordic routes. Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore will not sit still if this SLOC through the Malacca Straits is block by any country. It's these countries lifeline.
You should worry more about US pearls of containment in Asia than that of China. China does not see India as a threat, not yet, but the U.S. is a big threat to their security. Whatever it’s doing is for countering US, not India. Don’t make it more alarming than it’s. Else India put the precious resources as ineffectively in where it shouldn’t be. If India continues to increase influence but disregard the rule based orders, the US be your headache, not China. So, you should start talking about US military ports in Asia, not that of China. Of course, you are emotionally misled to think otherwise.
There is NO way the land bridge can be justified! By saving 2 day of the journey, what is the cost of shifting the container boxes across and the time needed plus the loading sequent of the boxes required, it is simply too time consuming.
