I went to this exhibit and it was really well done ... they should be proud of it There's also a cemetery that is a very moving place also in Kanchanaburi ...worth a visit

An interesting and informative video on the Centre. They've done a fine job. Hopefully, it will bring the barbaric reality of the Burma Railway to the visitors rather than the superficial "Instagram selfies" taken by marauding tourists out for the day in Kanchanaburi. 😉

The Australians are one of the best at this, see also the Sandakan memorial park in what was British North Borneo. First went on the railway in 1987 caught the train at Kanchanaburi station, there was no station at the bridge. The vegetation was up to the track and every now and then there was a sign saying site of camp xxx. Afraid today people don't get any idea of what the poor people went through. Also there is NO memorial to the 100,000 to 200,000 Asians who died.
