THAILAND VLOG 2: Behind the Scenes Filming with DJI

See Part 1 of my Thailand drone adventure here: • THAILAND VLOG: My Drea... This episode I begin the shoot with DJI in Bangkok, Thailand. I film with a Phantom4 and the Mavic Pro. I began hosting, producing and filming travel shows on TV on networks like NatGeo and Discovery Channel, then in 2016 I started this RU-vid channel in the hope of sharing stories that were unscripted, spontaneous, filled with more heart and emotion than the travel shows or vlogs I saw that only showed the surface layer or tourist attractions. As a RU-vidr I still have so far to go, but these adventures have filled me with tremendous gratitude and a desire to keep documenting the beauty and kindness of humanity all over the world.
I film and edit alone, travelling the world as a one-girl production company with tripods, my drone and multiple cameras. Although I am Australian, I have lived in many different countries around the world, including Italy, Japan, the UK, Spain and Monaco. I have studied Italian, Spanish and Japanese and I'm usually based in Italy.
I started this RU-vid channel about 7 months ago and thanks to the support of such encouraging fellow dreamers, filmmakers and travellers around the world, I am now uploading weekly vlogs to encourage others to travel, stay motivated and follow their dreams.

Walking around a new city with no plans is the best thing ever, I actually like getting lost, as you end up seeing things you wouldn't normally, so long as you keep an open mind and play it safe, there is no better way of getting under the skin of a new culture! I've only just come across your channel Kylie (while checking out Mavic Pro vids, of which I am a new owner) and have to say you are without doubt the happiest most smiley person I think I've ever seen, which is partly understandable in your line of work (travelling has the same effect on me!) Keep up the good work, you've made my day! :)

Well this looks like fun now doesn't it. So different and relaxing to be in front of the camera than behind it ( by comparison ). I was in Bangkok about 25 years ago and recall it as being vibrant, exotic and beautiful.

Allen Reid You have to use it! The cinematic and tripod modes are so cool. It's a Sony RX100 V 😍😍😍 It shoots sooo much better in lowlight than my GH4s although changing frame rates or any setting quickly on the spot to get the shot is infinitely faster with the LUMIX than the Sony.

Is that going to be your walking around camera? I assume you'll still need your others for their lenses.

Allen Reid Exactly! The Sony is so light I can wear it around my neck at all times for talking to camera spontaneously or quickly grabbing dialogue from people without it being too intrusive with a big lens in their face. But I'll still grab cutaways with the GH4-metabones-50mm f/1.2L lens and get wide shots with the other GH4 and a zoom and the MavicPro/Phantom4. 😍

What model is your sony camera that you bought i was looking at their mirrorless models but they are way to expensive. What cameras and brands you use? Hope you can help me...

Enrico Enriquez Thank you so much for your beautiful words. So glad you feel inspired. The Sony is an RX100 V but it is expensive. I started making videos just using a Canon 60D and a kit lens (that means the lens the camera is sold with). I love the Panasonic LUMIX GH4 because it lets you film in slow motion. I have written a whole post on my site kylieflavell.com on how to film on a budget alone. I've put the link in the description text of this video. Hopefully it might give you some ideas. 😊
