Thanks so much for these videos, they bring back epic memories of walking the Thames Path this spring/summer! Your descriptions of how the path changes from meadows to wooded paths to green strips through suburbia and fancy houses is spot on. If you have the inclination, do consider carrying on beyond the Thames Barrier. The path is now in place and signposted all the way to the Isle of Grain. The transition from central London to East End to brown fields to Kent marshes (Dickens land) beyond the M25 was unexpectedly our favourite part of the whole path. It’s incredibly deserted from Cliffe onwards and we wild camped on Egypt Bay without seeing anyone for over 15 hours. We found this part so exhilarating that we carried on along the Isle of Thanet along the muddy gravel beaches, then jumped over the Medway to Whitstable, Margate and Broadstairs, where the marshes give way to chalk cliffs.
Hi, thanks for commenting. I have been debating whether or not to continue the walk beyond the Thames Barrier my guide book says that there is an extension to Crayford Ness. You obviously went far beyond this. Not sure I will ever go as far as yourself but I think once I have finished the official Thames Path I will seriously consider continuing further. It sounds like it is worth doing. Thanks Clive
