Hi Guys,
I went to Thane (west) and tried the food at popular street joints. Dominated by Maharashtrian cuisine, Thane has a lot to offer as it comprises of large residential area with variety of communities. This is Part 1 of Thane Street Food. Let me know in the comments below some places in Thane that I must absolutely try and what should I eat there?
Below are the places I visited:
1. Shree Durga Snacks: This old popular joint in Thane is an ideal spot for breakfast. There is no seating facility available. Stand and eat, or take away, choice is yours.

2. Mamledaar Misal: With 17 branches in Mumbai, the popular Mamledar Misal in Thane is known as one of the best in the town for the Misal. My honest opinion about it in the video. However, everyone can have a different taste, so don't take my opinion harshly!

3. Appetite Momos: You might have to wait to get a seat here as it is always frequented by local college going students. Appetite momos serves both fried and steamed momos at pocket friendly rates. Pro Tip: It's near station, so think twice before taking your four wheelers there. it has branches though.

4. Evening Spot: This tiny joint is on Ram Maruti Road and it always busy with people eating messy chats, dosas, pav bhaji and what not!

5. Gajanan Vada Pav: A trip to Thane is incomplete without having a piping hot Vada Pav. Gajanan is particularly popular for its chutneys for all the right reasons.

Dk's dabeli and frankie corner please go there. It is very famous place in thane. And also visit Devang Kulfi center which is almost near to shree durga snacks. Aur there is one more place called chai villa which is near to tip top plaza. So please go there it's a must to cover this places. We love watching all your videos. Keep growing!

You can try the following too in thane... 1.Amruta pav bhaji- gokhale road 2 .Preeti sandwich - talaopali(opens in the evening)( try garlic maska and chinese sandwich) 3.Devang Kulfi-Gokhale road(next to durga vadapav)(malaii kulfi) 4. Rajmata Vada pav(ram maruti road)(try vada pav and onion pakoda) 5. Gokhale mangal Ahaar- nau pada(try the piyush and methi pakoda)

@golappa girl ...totally agree with ...Mamledaar misal is highly overrated ...i am staying in thane for almost 25 yrs ...must have eaten only twice or so ...my opinion - spice level is not the only parameter if good misal ...anyways after eating in Durga when you were standing near vivo showroom ..the lane opposite leads to Gokhale snacks ...you could try at . Also Ampralli arcade at vasant vihar has various options ..

Should not have visited Mamledar's other joints...you will get the authentic taste of Mamledar misal only at their original joint or at the hotel Aamantran which is diagonally opposite original Mamledar joint.

If you like Misal, please try Kurhade Misal which is located at majiwada (Near petrol pump). But visit the place before 8.30 AM as it gets finished very early. It's on a stall, and there is always rush at the place. Try the Misal with full तर्री. It is closed on Monday.

Hi girl, I must say that u should visit the original Mamledar misal joint for reviewing cos the other joints do not justify the original taste. Also you must review following food joints for part 2 - Rajmata Vada pav centre, opp that Evening spot u tried, for their Vada pav and cripsy potato bhajis - Preeti Sandwich near Chintamani Jambli Naka for their extensive variety of sandwiches...my personal favs are Paneer Lasuni, Pink pasta, Cheese masala toast, Tandoori grill sandwich. Also don't forget to get a watermelon juice - Prashant Corner Panchpakhadi for their Chole Samosas - Cold Pani Puri opposite St. John School and besides Thane Janata Sahakari Bank..frankly speaking I never noticed the shop name as my mind would only concentrate on Pani Puri and I bet one plate won't satiate your craving - Shegaon Kachori which is opposite this Pani Puri joint - Last but not the least you must try Loni dosa on the other side of the road opp Shegaon Kachori

Yes, I totally agree. You should visit the original Mamledar Misal which is authentic Kolhapuri Misal. I love it and also Amantran Misal near to Mamledar misal.

Frankie near joshi bedekar college Try Cantonese Restaurant which is opposite to appetite momos Rajmata Vadapav, misal in Kunjvihar , sandwich and burger near Mango store (its a small panipuri and juice centre but makes good burgers and sandwiches) ,Bhajji plate at Gajanan East( Near thane station on east side)

Dont miss this 3 places when u visit thane nxt tym. 1. Prashant corner (panchpakhadi)- Famous for it's chaat items. 2. Hotel swa (court naka)- Try their varhadi misal. Much better than than the worthless mamledar misal. 3. St.anthony's bakery (khopat)- Though it doesnt fall in street food category, it's a small cafe tucked in lanes of khopat. Try their chicken steak burger, smoked chicken bruschetta n blueberry cheese cake! Thank me later🙂

I asked the owner and he said the same Misal is sent to all the branches. However, if you say so, I will try at the original branch too once :)

@@GolgappaGirl Don't try again it's same as you experienced."Mamledaar" is just remained a name but for taste it's not that worth for misal lovers out there. I had the same experience when i visited this place listening to those hype. But unfortunately it ruined my visit by there so called taste with lots of "oily deep red tari" . Rest all places you visited are good. Your vlog is very good and feels very genuine. You doing nice work,keep it up....i like your videos 😊

U should visit Thane West Branch .....near janta fashion or tahasildar....they 2 only are best in mamledar misal.....and all this food joint are near to my house....if u want to eat best vada pav u can prefer Vijay snacks🤗🤗

Good but u went to wrong place for misal u should have tried in there origanal place where u first went and that to there light misal u would have got perfect taste do try next time .....gajanan vada pav ultimate do try there poha samosa also...pls also visit prashant corner for chat items and sweets..then hotel shiv prasad on ram maruti rd.for everything in veg.try there chola bhatura....

Hey , your videos are cool. There are more joints that serves delicious fast food. 1)Dk 'S dabeli corner -butter dabeli is so tasty ( Shop No. 7, Gokhale Road, Near Sweet Corner, Naupada, Thane West, ) 2) cannon pav bhaji -best pav bhaji ever (its near tip top plaza , and thane station west and also walking distance from apetite momos) 3)Prasant corner - everything here is best from chaats to sweets , i recommend you to try it all especially pani puri , jallebis many more. There are many joints of prasant corner , but near vartak nagar its best.

And also if you want to go to pollution free place or little secluded and calm I recommend you to visit Yeoor hills (non veg food are good) .Its best place to spend some quality time with friends.(visting around daytime is preferable as it is in hills and forest area )

Plz try these two plaCes. 1. Sant Krupa -Daal Pakwaan Thane east near gaondevi, kopari, Timing 8.15 to 11.30 AM DAILY. Rs. 28 1 Pakwan and 1 small bowl Dal ( Mung Bhaji + Chana Dal + Dal Makhani) with onion and Turmaind + chilli chutney. 2. SIMLA Kulfi U will get good quality and variety of flavours.

In our college days of bedekar college in 1090/91 there was only one branch against Thane lake and no options of less spicy midium spicy there was only one spicy and we use eat with a big bottle of butter milk 😋

Try bhel puri (you will get the most quantity compared to others and cost is only 20 rupees and 2 people can have it because the of the quantity) in Thane West brahmand complex 6th phase.
