"I don't wanna leave you hanging there like a Rick Kackis intro" 😂💀 I do wish I had my god roll bygones and patron of lost causes. Hopefully they reissue those again.
The "Let's move on to something completely different. Let's talk about a sidearm." bit was hilarious! Snuck up on me that second time, but it passed to the back of my mind, and by the third time I could not stifle the genuine laughter.
As someone who for some reason held onto a Galliard with 21 zoom, ricochet rounds, tap the trigger, kill clip, and a stability masterwork because it looked cool... it overjoys me to hear TV describe my exact (aside from the masterwork) roll with such reverence. Honorable mention to my Ringing Nail with 22 zoom, tap the trigger, and zen moment.
I could never delete my Galliard, because I just worked too hard for it - 1000 forges... Mine is a 4/5 god roll; SPO 57 (20 zoom), ricochet, dynamic sway and high end reserves. It's like having rampage at the end of every magazine. The range used to be close to 40 m, now it still + 30 m. On that journey I had many good Kindleds, Tataras and Ringing Nails - only kept a few.
The only sunset weapon I kept was the curated roll of kindled orchid with kill clip, rampage, and drop mag. Wish I kept my quickdraw kill clip tatara gaze. Ooof
I kept that, and 2 play of the games with the wrong elements. I wish I had kept more, but I do constantly run out of space for all my ass tier rolls lmao
Man, you were vibing with some great lines here! I'm sad to say that most of my sunset weapons haven't survived the purges because of vault space, and all I've got left now are some cool trophies that people can now buy from the Monument to Lost Lights. I never played FPS PVP before Destiny 2, and was so proud to earn Not Forgotten during Season of Arrivals. That, my first Trials Flawless, and eventual acquisition of Igneous Hammer are my proudest PVP achievements. On to the subject, but I'll say what I wish I kept; Perfect Paradox - super cool lore weapon. Saint 14 was inspired by a fellow Guardian to keep fighting when times were tough and he lost his way, that tales inspired us, and then we found out in Season of Dawn that we were his inspiration and we got it as a random roll. Ringing Nail - I think that would hang really well during with how ARs are performing now. Kindle Orchid - the Rampage / Kill Clip Void monster. One hell of a handcannon
The Galliard mention sent me into a PTSD forge grind flashback. Eventually landed a god roll right before it got sunset and felt so burned by that that I got rid of it. Thanks for the bad memories TV 💔
Bungie lied to us they said those Sunset guns would never be usable and than out of nowhere they decide to Reverse Sun-Setting, Due to the fact that bungie lied to us they should be making all sunset weapons OBTAINABLE again.... PLEASE BUNGIE at least give us the Forges back so we can get Kindled Orchid back....😢 Ada would have a purpose again.
You did with 18 Kelvins what I used to always do with my Manannan in pve. I would change the element type all the time, but I eventually changed it back to void before it got locked
Something kind of underground about the un-sunsetting is there are actually a decent bit of sunset 600 rpm auto rifles that have similar base range to gnawing hunger which we don't have any of post sunsetting (it has 48, and is only beat by an adept summoner w range spec). Maybe the mags or scopes limit them but I'm curious if that'll get anyone's attention.
Little notice for those interested, vestian dynasty can be grabbed from collections and precision frames are really good at the moment. And it will be even better come sunrise.
I kept my Perfect Paradox shotgun with Demolitionist + One Two Punch/Swashbuckler, along with some Black Armory Weapons and Mindbenders. I always had a feeling their glory days would come again, and it did happen.
my all time favorite smg is still on my character for patrol and pvp vibes, Trackless Waste with 17 zoom, ricochet rounds, zen moment, Kill clip. It's adaptive so not the most lethal, but it's got stacked range AND stability so it's easy mode for pretty much everything
Lol I literally have the same roll on travelers and 26k kills on my max range + under pressure + rangefinder Erentil. Don’t forget the following that I’ll be bringing out to taunt you all with; antiope with kill clip + all the zoom you can’t get anymore. Also Tatara gaze with snapshot + kill clip for those body shot 1shots. ;) Kindled orchid with rampage + kill clip. Bygones with kill clip. Blast furnace with kill clip. Claws of the wolf with headseeker + kill clip. Max range main ingredient with rangefinder + under pressure… Uriel’s gift with QuickDraw + kill clip. Trust with rampage + dragonfly + drop mag. And a couple more… ;)
erentil was a menace, i still remember getting killed from 40 meters away (I AM NOT JOKING, i was running a blast furnace and the drop off on mine was 40m, and it was experiencing damage falloff) and instantly hitting the power button on my ps4 and going to sleep
The Breechlight has to be one of the few 2 shot burst pistols I ever liked. Admittedly, it's mostly due to the fact it was the closest thing (aesthetically) to the Halo Magnum before Forerunner came out. Also, I miss the old Black Armory forge missions. Those were really cool and fun.
My travelers judgement 5 is SOLAR with 3 ammo options and head seeker. Galliard 42 roll is also solar. Both are Vanilla D2 rolls I’ve been clutching onto for dear life. Let’s not forget perfect paradox, the finest feeling rapid fire shotty in the entire game.
I kept several sidearms with TTT including smugglers word, travelers judge, and translation theory. But Ether Doctor is probably my fav sunset gaat that never left my rotation
My favorite pre-sunset loadout was patron of lost causes and traveler's judgement 5. Those, a curated kindled orchid, and a max stability duke mk. 44 are the only guns I kept.
To be fair, most weapons would be deleted anyway. I mean, so much power creep years later, changes to weapon scope/range systems, origin traits, etc. Only a few can still stand on their own today. I still have a few sunset weapons with god rolls around, but I was planning on cleaning my vault and getting rid of those was part of the plan. Even now with this announcement, those will probably be deleted anyway since they said that they will bring them back later with updated perks and origin traits. Breechlight wasn't only a good weapon, but the design was amazing. That thing with a brave arsenal paintjob/ornament would be something else.
Only weapons I have left from sunsetting are Kindled Orchid and No Feelings - glad I have both, but definitely miss my old traveler’s judgment with rapid hit.
I kept 2 Galliard-42's Armor piercing rounds Dynamic sway High impact reserves Reload master work Galliard-42 High cal rounds Outlaw Kill clip Range master work. One of my favourite pvp guns
Antiope with moving target kill clip, Atalanta with Zen kill clip, BWerewolf with tap kill clip, Breach light, Bygones with head seeker kill clip, Tatara with Snap and Quickdraw killclips, Erentil, Quickdraw Hammerhead, 2 Galliards with Kill clip, Last Hopes, the obligatory double damage Ringing Nail, Trust. & Kindled Orchid, under pressure tap Wizened...& the piece de resistance my Tempered Dynamo with Opening Shot, Kill clip AND a charge time masterwork ❤
I have a Breachlight with Demo and Osmosis for a Verity's Brow build in PvE. There's only 1 primary in the current sandbox that can roll Demo and Osmosis but it's a crappy Scout Rifle; there used to be an Auto Rifle until they removed it from Prophecy (which I kept one of those too). I have a Void Ikelos SMG for PvE as well so I can make it shoot volatile rounds. And I kept the Drop Mag, Kill Clip, and Rampage Kindled Orchid. I have some other stuff too but these are probably the things I'm most interested in breaking out again.
I pulled Traveller's Judgement from collections yesterday and boy, the memories. Fit like a glove. The only sunset weapon I ended up keeping was the Long goodbye for some damn reason....
I just kept the old bit of the fox (still probs my fav snipe tbh) with moving and snap (i like that moving is active every shot, as well as the move speed) and all handling perks. I also kept the good ol kindled orchid with rampage kill clip.
I'm still a little upset that I had to scrap quite a bunch of sunset weapons. ...but part of it was due to vault space. However, I still have some of my other sunset weapons like the Traveler's Judgement. In fact, to this day I still use the Traveler's Judgement with a little over 1600 kills in Crucible. Alongside that, I still have Saint XIV's Perfect Paradox x'3, a Kindled Orchid with Kill Clip and Rampage, as well as BOTH my Curated Blast Furnace and Hammerhead. Still I hope Bungie would give us the chance to regain those weapons like Bygones, Breachlight and even Patron of Lost Causes, someday.
Zen/kill clip trackless waste, zen/kill clip ringing nail, outlaw/kill clip Go Figure, and most of all outlaw/kill clip Inaugural Address how I’ve missed you 🥰
I've got my traveler's judgment with farpoint, ricochet, rapid hit, ttt, and range mw ready to dust off. Also rampage/headseeker bygones, under pressure/rangefinder erentil, kill clip/rampage kindled orchid, and rangefinder/ttt last hope. So many other vault space casualties...
Thought i still had my galliard but just checked n it was a swift ride pulse 😢 . 18 kelvins was one of my favorite ever. Called it the "pap pap" gun, loved its sound. Deleted a lot but still got some treasures in my vault for sure. Dad bygones, kindled, etc. Doesnt really matter since theyll eventually bring most back but better but still nice to have.
Sad to say that I kept very few sunset weapons. Basically only the ones I was really attached to because I struggle with vault space. Here are some favorites I kept: Duke Mk.44, Beloved, Anonymous Autumn, and Blast Furnace. Though I do have a couple more that I kept just for fun.
I have max range and max stability claws of the wolf with slideshot and kill clip. 540 pulse :) Of course the curated KC rampage kindled orchid Tatara gaze with quick draw and KC But my dark horse is the Trophy Hunter with pulse monitor and disruption break. I’d use it with rat king and getaway artist. Fit the Predator theme I was going for. If your shields went down you would get max handling on the snipe and a full reload and then If you got a body shot with the snipe you could clean up with rat king at 30m and go invis at full recovery. A real get it then hit them and run build. So much fun
Deleted the last of my sunset gear last year. There's a few I kinda wish I kept but I'm more excited for what those guns will feel like when they return fully
When Breakneck had Rampage paired with Onslaught. More I look at that thing with Subsistence. I get it, but sad face. Kindled Orchid with Kill Clip, Rampage, and Drop Mag (the way the perk used to work).
I have several God roll Dukes, a couple God roll Bygones, and quite a few God roll Erentils. But my 2 personal gems are my Bad Reputation with zen moment, killclip and ricochet rounds and my Last Hope with rangefinder and hip fire grip.
Valakadyn: Chroma Rush or (still) Reckless Oracle Erentil: Glacioclasm ...and so on. I'm happy that you're happy these things are going to be usable in all content, but man all this stuff has been power crept. Unicorn elemental damage is kinda cool, but the above still applies.
I still have all the below and more: 120 HC Duke 44 with ricochet rounds, rapid hit & killclip (or rampage). Best 120 for PVP with Igneous. Mindbender's shotty with slideshot and quickdraw: chef kiss Dust Rock Blues aggressive shotty with slideshot and snapshot sights: PVP wet dream Blast furnace with 90 range & 90 stability: chef kiss Dead Man Waling sidearm with moving target & kill clip Galliard 600 AR with twenty (20) zoom, ricochet, quickdraw (or outlaw) and kill clip: chef kiss Tatara Gaze sniper with kill clip (one body shot) Gnawing Hunger 600 AR with overflow and rampgae: PVE God 21 delirium: 900 RPM light machine gun with killing tally: PVE dream Bygones pulse rifle with 85 stability, headseeker AND kill clip: chef kiss uber PVP dream Antiope-D submachine gunwith HCR, zen moment, and kill clip: chef kiss The Old Fashioned 140 HC with explosive rounds Distant Relation 180 SR with zen moment and explosive rounds: chef kiss Patron of the Lost Causes 200 SR with max stability, rapid hit and explosive rounds (thuk, thuk, thuk - dead): chef kiss Kindled Orchid 140 HC with rampagae and kill clip, or rapid hit and KC, or range finder and explosive rounds, or ...etc: chef kiss Last Hope 491 sidearm with feeding frenzy and rampage or mutikillclip: PVE God Traveler's Judgement 491 sidearm with rapid hit and tap the trigger: PVP monster Not Forgotten (originally 180) now 140 precision HC with max range (71) and zen moment: PVP GOD-on-earth Luna's Howl 140 HC: PVE God Etc
I still have my Duke Mk.44 and Bygones, and a Quickdraw Tatara's Gaze as well. I also have my ove PvE Marty's that i used religiously back then. cant wait to bring them back :D
I kept a very similar roll of Travelers Judgment, I still remember how it felt before the rapid hit changes. It’s still good, but back then the gun was just crazy. Could not delete it.
TV! You forgot about a few that could be great! Anonymous autumn w/kill clip, bygones (I have seen a ton more out in the wild) and my breachlight has Threat Detector and elemental cap, helps compete with the Forgiveness. Keep up the great content!!
I started playing after sunsetting, just before the launch of Witch Queen, so I have no sentimentality towards any of this although I understand why some will - what I'm not getting is how many treat the older stuff as if it's better when it clearly isn't in a lot of cases. I've seen posts about Bygones in PvP for example - Syncopation is overall better in most stats and for me personally has a better perk combo; although I just don't like 'on kill' perks I vastly prefer consistency, so there's some subjectivity there, but the weapon at base is better than Bygones. Syncopation is also practically handed to us to craft and the enhanced perks are worthwhile. Maybe there's some really obscure thing but weapons since I started playing have only improved.
Man, this makes me wish we had more obtainable sidearms in general. Not getting a new one that wasn’t tied to world drops throughout all of the Lightfall seasons aside from Buzzard and Mykel’s Reverence in season 20 was a bit disheartening as a sidearm main
2 words Anonymous autumn. Mine has moving target, kill clip range master work. Make no mistake it shreds . I had lobbies scared yesterday. The amount of players who swapped to a traverse chosen was hilarious. All that thang needs is a kill and I just wasn't scared I pushed downing one after another. It was nutty
Kept a handful of tangled shore kill clip rolls and a dust rock. Got a moving target kill clip anonymous autumn too. My rangefinder/kill clip horrors least fell off a bit after the nerf. I took a big break after forsaken. Would love to get some black armory and sundial weapons.
Travelers Judement 5 underrated, one a the very few sidearms that has Headseeker, I used to use it with No Turning Back thankfully my favorite roll I can reprint unfortunately No Turning Back I let go just a few months ago. Bungie causes me emotional pain.
Really surprised you didn’t mention Anonymous Autumn in this video! Some weapons I am excited for is Revoker, though I know you can still purchase it, but I still have mine with my 12k crucible defeats. Anonymous Autumn would definitely be another that I would love to bring back out, but I hate that I have full-auto trigger on it now. For a third I will say Bygones. Really excited to see what Bungie puts into activities for us to grind for again! Praying for an updated Revoker!
So many guns I miss (or during the couple breaks from the game never got to use at all, e.g. all the Saint 14 weapons) 😭 Here's hoping they meant it when they said they'd bring some back
My max range SC Holo/Zen/Kill Clip Antiope and my 5/5 slideshot QuickDraw mindbenders will both be glued back to my character! Also the Hipfire Grip Vorpal Breachlight was the best roaming super shutdown weapon ever and will be on my character again until another ag with that combo is released again!
Here's an old gun for you guys, who here remembers the end and purpose, I've used them in pvp before amazing still. Can't wait for it to get sun risen. That and my God roll service revolver that put kids with Luna and not forgotten on the bottom of the leader board
I think the best thing I have in my vault in my fixed roll antiope… safe to say I didn’t play much destiny 2 passed year 1 until just this year😂 80% of my vault is weapons that can literally be pulled from collections 😭
I quit playing on my main character after they sunset all my god roll master worked weapons and left my vault full. And started a new character on another account and played witch queen. I refused to dismantle all of my hard work and years of grinding specific rolls. Breach light was my favorite sidearm but I liked smugglers word also. I was a side arm, Jotunn, grenade launcher with spikes type of dude…I wonder how all these weapons will work today in the game. I just might buy the expansions and get back in. I wish they never sunset anything; I would’ve never left…
i kept my curated kindled orchid and breakneck but there are some great pinnacles like 21 % delirium u can pull from collections. also vestian dynasty with kc dragonfly is a classic
A few of the weapons I had kept were mainly my Ringing Nail w/ QuickDraw kill clip, Steelfeather Repeater w/ ambitious assassin multi kill clip, and a parcel of stardust.
The only weapons i keep in my vault are 5/5 god rolls. So i deleted A LOT of great guns. TBH this was not an announcement i was immediately happy with...
