J. you did you thing on this joint. You didn't over run the song with vocal runs. You told a story and let the guitar breath in the whole song which let the vocal lyrics shine through. Its something that you could always go back and remix with a cold beat and more instrumentation on a remix. This was R&B all day. Salute my guy!

The lyrics are so playa😂. Gotta listen again to catch what I didn’t at first..especially since you were the groom at the end. It seems that the old you is telling the new you “you should thank me for bringing maturity into the relationship…you got the better end of the deal.” But y’all both matured in the relationship. That’s what I got, lyrically and visually, after first watch. I like the scaled back approach that y’all took with the instrumentation. I think the guitar’s melody is great too. After it looped a few times, I started to sing it. Of course this was easy work for you, vocally! Thanks for letting us hear some stuff before your album drops! ✨
